Balance and delightful to the senses. The sea urchin was my favorite from the mise en bouche. Such delicate and subtle flavors. The T.K.G is absolutely heavenly. The risotto topped with truffle is such as great pairing. The sauce for the Maine lobster had such depth of carrot. I wish I took a picture of the sea bream. The crust of the fish skin was Perfection. I wish the portions were a little larger. This is definitely a dinner to remember..

I can't say enough positive things about our experience at l'abeille. From the moment we walked in, to the last bite, everything came together flawlessly. The ambiance is nice, a smaller more intimate atmosphere. The service is top notch... every server that came by was extremely personable and accommodating. The food was impeccable - great flavor combinations and such a thoughtfully curated tasting menu. The extras were definitely worth it, the caviar croque madame was almost my favorite... the Pekin-duck Au poivre really stole the show for me. Highly highly recommend especially for a celebration (as it does tend to get pricey)

Delicious food and impeccable service. We came to celebrate a birthday and had a great time. The staff handled the impromptu health inspector that dropped by quite well (frequent updates & a complimentary glass of wine while table service was paused). The courses were timed well (you have the option between 2 set menus) & we enjoyed each item on it. The cocktails were also refreshing & I liked the little touches of their logo on the ice.

Come here to celebrate birthday. It's a beautiful restaurant with nice dining area. The food is delicious with pretty plate setting. The food is very creative and inspiring too. Every dish has its excitement and we enjoy the food so much. Service is great and attentive. Love to come back again.

L'abeille has done it again -- another fantastic collaboration, this time with the restaurant Bibi, a modern Indian place in London. I've been to a few of these collabs now, and this was the best one yet, with the chefs clearly taking inspiration from each other for their respective dishes, and thinking carefully about the menu progression. I didn't know what to expect, since French/Japanese and Indian don't seem to go together, but I really was impressed. We decided to splurge on the wine pairing, and were glad that we did, since they served some really special wines, including a grand cru red Burgundy, and the new somm clearly knows how to create delicious and striking pairings. Service was also the best yet, in my opinion. There's a reason this place is one of the few high-end restaurants that I ever actually feel like returning to in NYC, and they were definitely firing on all cylinders for this collab. Excited to go back soon and see what the head chef is up to for his regular menu. Bottom line, go to l'abeille, and if you ever see a collab they're doing on opentable/resy, be sure to snap it up, because they obviously try hard to make those special and interesting.

Delicious and perfect for a date or special occasion! Beautiful dishes that taste better than they look. Amazing service all in all. Delicious cocktails, lovely and beautiful space. Definitely worth a visit!!! So delicious and worth multiple revisits

TLDR: one of my new favorite restaurants. Can't wait to come again. Came here for the valentines menu and I was extremely impressed. There was not a single disappointing moment from the menu or the service. Everyone was so friendly and multiple people greeted us when we arrived. Of the various things we had during dinner, the most memorable dishes were: the dégustation de crabe which included a crab tart with coconut mousse? and passion fruit, a crab consommé, and a seaweed tempura crab claw; and the charcoal grilled mackerel with caviar caramelized onion, clam sauce, and smoked potato foam. The dessert was also one of the most interesting I've had - a black truffle ice cream with chocolate crumble and blackberries macerated in gin. I recognize that some of the dishes were exclusive to the valentines menu, but I can tell from the quality of the food and service that we experienced, that any other day would be amazing. Overall: one of my new favorite restaurants and I cant wait to return!

Very disappointing visit. The room is still beautiful, the service is great, cocktails are good and an excellent wine, but virtually every dish was a miss. The chef wants to be creative and cutting edge, but totally misses the point. Food must be satisfying, flavorful and comforting as well as being "creative."

Ethereal, out of body experience. Went here to celebrate my birthday. It was a bit pricy for $1000 for 2 people but in my opinion, worth every penny. The staff were nice, knowledgeable and accommodating. Food was as delicious as it was gorgeous.

Great service. Great wine menu. Beautiful presentations for the most part but the food overall was just ok. I added the foie gras flan appetizer which was definitely my favorite dish of the night. The blue fin tuna course wasn't very flavorful and I could've gone without that tbh. The truffle risotto was good but definitely not worth the supplement. The turbot course was excellent - flaky, moist fish in flavorful sauce. The venison was just ok - could've been more flavorful. The truffle meringue dessert was beautiful but it wasn't very flavorful.

A nice place to enjoy a quiet dinner with friends and family. Food is exquisite. Service is top notch. Seating is so comfortable. Only problem is I don't feel any surprise. There is no wow here.

The service at l'abeille deserves every accolade it has ever recieved. Every single interaction over the course of the evening was excellent. There wasn't one person who did not go out of their way to treat us like royalty and explain our courses in as great a detail as we could have asked for, and we appreciated that. The ambiance and experience were great, followed closely by the food. The rabbit terrine was beautifully plated and tasted nearly as spectacular. The albacore was certainly not worth the extra supplement but was a great dish both visually and to eat. The wine pairings were all very good, and made a lot of sense each step of the way. And the true standout was the duck - nothing beat the duck. Maybe one of the best ducks I have ever had. Honestly nothing about the meal was bad, but a few things fell sort of flat. The fish was okay, the desserts were okay, the amuse bouche was good enough. And all of that would have been great had we walked away with a bill that resembled a good meal with the best duck we ever had. But it was hard to stomach the $900 bill for one wine pairing, a few extra glasses, and one supplement on the menu, not two. In essence it's a great meal, but when around the corner you can walk into Batard and have a nearly as good meal for $300 or go to Le Bernadin and have a much better meal for only a $100 more, it's hard to justify spending the money at l'abeille. Hopefully more of the dishes hit like the duck and rabbit terrine, and then maybe the price point will be worth it.

This space felt larger than the other locations I've been to, while still keeping the same cozy, charming, and beautiful vibe that defines their brand. We were a party of three, and each of us ordered different sandwiches and pastries. I got the Katie's Chicken Sandwich, which is one of my absolute favorites and something I order almost every time I'm visiting the city. For pastry, I tried the Cherry Croissant Cube for the first time, and I was honestly speechless. It was incredibly flavorful, delicious, and truly made my day. I 100% recommend trying it. For drinks, I ordered the seasonal Cherry Elderflower Spritz. It was just okay compared to everything else, but not bad. Overall, Maman continues to be my go-to brunch place in NYC, and this visit reminded me exactly why.

Unnecessary confrontation over a 5-minute early pickup…read more I'm a regular Too Good To Go customer and have picked up bags from Maman before without issue. This visit was a frustrating exception. The app activated the swipe button shortly after 5PM -- which Maman and several other stores have recently started allowing as an early pickup signal. I went to the store accordingly. The young male Hispanic employee at the register refused to hand over my bag, insisting the pickup window didn't start until 5:15. All the bags were already packed and ready. There were no other customers in line. I tried to explain how the app works and that early pickup had been allowed here before, but he repeatedly cut me off. At one point I said "if you want to play by the book, so be it" -- meaning it as a neutral acknowledgment. He took offense, raised his voice, and kept repeating "I don't play, you play" in an increasingly hostile tone. I asked if he understood the expression. He just kept repeating "I don't play." When I asked to speak with a manager, he said there wasn't one. When I asked what a customer is supposed to do when there's a problem with an employee, he told me to come back tomorrow and talk to him. This was completely avoidable. The bags were ready. It was a 5-10 minute window, allowed by the app. The confrontation served no purpose. I noticed the review posted the day before mine mentions "poor customer service at the register" -- I suspect we encountered the same person. Maman has a good reputation worth protecting. I'd encourage management to review this interaction and make sure this particular staff is trained properly.

The frites were the best I've had - super thin and crunchy and the mussels were fantastic in a delicious white wine sauce and again a LARGE portion. We were left happy and full - the Bordeaux Blanc we ordered was perfect to go with it all.

While the French Onion soup was still a stand-out dish, the painfully slow service detracted. There appeared to be a single waitress working. I didn't notice during my first visit if there were multiple servers, but the first time I did hear the waiter advise another table that the kitchen was behind and there would be a wait for food. (This didn't affect me since on my first visit I only ordered soup.) Same thing happened this time, and there was a significant delay between our soup/salad course and entrees. We were told the kitchen was backed up. this is apparently the norm. For appetizers, the French onion soup was a gold star dish. My friend had the goat cheese salad which she said was also very good. The Chicken Cordon Bleu was good, and a hard-to-find dish in NYC. While eating our entrees, the server never checked on how things were or if we needed anything. Once finished, we sat there for a long time waiting for our plates to be cleared, and finally had to "announce" that we were done and request our dessert (as we had ordered the prix fixe menu). For dessert we ordered the Dame Blanche and Profiteroles. I would recommend neither. The ice cream (in both) was poor quality, crystallized and not creamy. A real shame. In all, the meal too 2.5 hours due to the slow service. The soup remains fantastic. I'm downgrading my review to recommend this spot only for soup and salad and not a full, hours-long meal. For that, it's 5 stars, for a full meal a middling 3.
