Second time we come back and the food was good but the lady at the front counter that packed our food was super skimpy with sauces, she only gave us 3 sauces no hot sauce, no soy sauce, and bbq sauces for a party platter and then we ordered an additional order of katsu chicken. To top it off she didn't even know how to give us our rewards on the app. So in two visits we have spent over $200 dollars and we have zero rewards. What is the point of the loyalty rewards app if the people ringing you up don't know how to give you the points? No plates or utensils were given for our party tray. The chicken definitely needed the sauces. Without the sauces it's really bland. We had to stop at a store to buy plates, utensils, and sauces which was really annoying. Definitely will consider this when planning to get more food from here again. The second visit was very underwhelming to say the least. read more

Yip! Drive by lunch. Saw the sign from the busy road and swung in. Kinda knew what I wanted, some Loco Moco. Ran in ordered, waited five maybe six minutes and out I went. I didn't pay much attention to the cleanliness of the whole place, but the front door could have been wiped down. So now, I'm eating my lunch out of a styrofoam container in my car with the air conditioner on under a shade tree in the parking lot...sweet! For the price and convince to swap out meats I recommend this Hawaiian location over others in town. Cheaper, tons more meat and great quality. It's never too busy and food is ready quickly. This place isn't that good, salad, macaroni salad way overcooked the noodles were soggy. I had to ask for teriyaki and the teriyaki is like liquid. It's not even like thick at all. Really annoyed with this location, it seems like every time I go something isn't right and with my last experience I had to say something. I live about 15-20min away from the Ceres location and I ordered 3 chicken teriyaki bowls, it was a simple order and they managed to mess that up. When I got home guess what we didn't get, CHICKEN!! instead it was beef.. Service was great, friendly & fairly quick.. Was a little cheaper than Ono Hawaiian bbq on Monte Vista in Turlock & portions were larger than Ono. Had Seafood Mix & BBQ Mix. However the shrimp (mushy), fish (flavorless), katsu (tasted funny) & over all flavor was not that great in taste or quality.. The sauces were terrible & watery.. Was hopeful it would be better than Ono, Unfortunately definitely was not. It wasn't bad just wasn't good. Probably for us we would just rather jump on Hwy 99 & grab some Ono instead next time. It's free Musubi Day!!! Ran into a couple who drove to surrounding Riverbank and Patterson and had no luck. This company operates independently owned and did not all locations honor the free musubi. Fortunately the Ceres location did and we were so grateful we bought 2 dinner plates and extra musubi. We love L and L. We plan to keep frequent the Ceres location. I finally have a favorite restaurant in Ceres!!! I ordered the seafood combo, and my husband ordered the bbq mixed combo!! It was absolutely delicious!!!! The beef super yummy! My shrimp, butterflied and large!!! The portions were huge, just the way we love them. Plentiful!! Super filling! Oh we also ordered the egg rolls, delish! On top of being delish, they were perfectly golden brown, not dark brown, so you could tell the oil was clean. Everything was perfectly cooked. The staff was so friendly and helpful, even the cook in the back smiled when we walked in. We got the family meal here and we got so much food and it tasted great. I am so happy with the price and quality. We used to get the family at Ono and it's good but way smaller and the price went up and portion went down. This place is ten minutes from my home and even though it took forever to open it was well worth the wait. I just hope that as the business progress they don't get skimpy and rude like so many business do these days. We will definitely make this our new spot. read more
