    Custom Poke Bowl (2 Scoops)

Sooooo good. Fresh tasting, delicious, great toppings, love that I can just fill out a checklist and order it that way. Always very nice to go here. Nice employees, good vibes. Definitely recommend! Also love their iced passion tea

Came with the family and we all loved our meals. Husband loved the poke bowl and said the sauces elevated the flavor so much! My tacos were delicious (tip- the mild salsa was spicy). My mom enjoyed the nachos and my brother loved his burrito. All in all, everything was a hit! We'd recommend this place bc of the food and service.

Other times I ate here, it filled the lid space. This time, not at all. Significantly less food.

Guess I'm not coming here again! Maybe a new worker didn't know what they were doing, but today I ordered a bowl with two scoops of protein, shrimp and scallops, and look how little I got! Just six teensy shrimp and nine teensy scallop bits. (Eight in the pic because I ate one before taking the picture.) I immediately noticed that it was less food than usual and wondered "Where are my shrimp??? And did they forget the scallops?" So I picked through it looking for the shrimp and scallops, and that's what I found. I've been here several times before and they gave me SO much more food than this. The scoops of protein were hearty AND they were generous with the crab salad (shredded crabmeat, so it's a free protein scoops basically). This time there was barely any crabmeat. And the overall amount of food was far less than usual as well. Normally it's heaping, piled up so it touches the bottom of the lid. The lid adds about an inch of height, so that works out to a SIGNIFICANT additional amount of food. This time it didn't rise above the lid of the bowl at all, let alone up to the bottom of the lid. 3 stars because the food is good. Got the spicy ponzu sauce for the first time and that was really good too. But $15-20+ for a bowl is NOT cheap if you're going to give barely any food. All I can think is it's punishment for not tipping? (I paid in advance.) The tipping system is stupid, but I never skip on tips in tipping situations. Take-out is not a tipping situation! I might try them one more time, but I definitely won't pay in advance, and I'll check the food before leaving. Because if I had seen this stupid bowl before leaving, I would have asked if they had made a mistake.

Hi, back 3 years later to let everyone know, Terracotta Poke has remained a favorite! They have only grown and improved since I wrote my first review way back when. The flavors and taste cannot be beat, the fusion provides endless options so that I really could (& definitely would!) eat here daily. Amazing portion sizes. The appetizers have been wonderful, also. Try the gyoza! Such a great healthier choice for the college students right across from Stan State! Just shake to mix & go! Comes with a lid, so you can save your leftovers. Do yourself a favor & stop by!

We love the pokey bowls here. The fish is always fresh and they have a great selection of sides and sauces. It's a great healthy option. The services pretty quick and they have ample seating inside with a TV. It's also clean inside.

Nice restaurant. Not the most welcoming workers. Hopefully the poke bowl makes up for it. Safe and clean and practiced. When you walk in, you're handed a clipboard and you fill out what you would like. Pretty simple. Pot stickers also ordered. My mother and I waited while they made the orders. Lunchtime! Enjoying it at a park. The poke bowl was really fresh and tasty! Absolutely loved the scallops & shrimp. All the toppings were delicious! The pot stickers were really tasty too! My mother said hers was really good and fresh! Good lunch! Okay service and really good poke bowls & potstickers! Recommended!

This review is long overdue....I got my boyfriend addicted to Poke and we searched for one close to Merced. One Saturday afternoon, we decided to try this place and we were not disappointed. It is located close to CSU Stanislaus. There is plenty of parking available on the street. The place is huge and clean. The prices are very reasonable. We ordered 2 poke bowls and we were surprised that the serving is a lot. The staff are nice. We will definitely be back.

Came in 10/1 and the service was great. Acknowledged us as soon as we walked in. The people working were very kind and got our food out to us immediately. Waited for what seemed to be like 3 minutes, the tables were very clean and the place smelled clean. Poke was great and really filling

I really enjoyed my tuna poke bowl. The workers which I believe were the owners were very nice. I got my food quick as a to-go order. I like that the food is made right in front of you and is fresh tasting. I also like that they have discounts for students. It is a bit pricey, but it is one of the only poke bowl restaurants around so I'm not complaining!

Ok, five stars for the amazing customer service !! As a poké enthusiast I decided to give this place a try in February. I got the 2-scoop poké bowl. For this, I was given a paper and pencil to decide on my ingredients. This facilitated the whole process as I was given more time to decide rather than the typical rush at poké shops and the awkwardness of having to repeat yourself ten times lol. The honey walnut shrimp was so creamy it definitely stood out, making me want to keep eating shrimp after shrimp. The freshness of the ingredients is very apparent in seafood, and this restaurant does an amazing job at offering great quality. I've mentioned it before but I'll say it again, their customer service is phenomenal ! I was helped right from the moment I was walked in, and got immediate feedback to any questions I had. I am a shy eater who always has food in their mouth when customer serviced lol, but the kind waiter checked in on us at the perfect times, making this place very enjoyable and comfortable.

First time here after "my workout" Anyway, was super hungry and my friend recommended this spot. My food was super super delicious, however my daughter ordered shrimp tacos and let me tell you they looked more like bald shrimp tacos! That was a fail (no bueno)!! Good thing my food was good, I was satisfied...will come back

When I got there, there were still some empty open tables, however, as I was leaving, it seems like they're just about all filled up. I got the Mr. milkman cocktail and it was pretty tasty, although I did notice how it appeared, as if there were a lot of wines and other beverages that they were out of. Even with my cocktail, they had to substitute the base with soda water, although it was still tasty. There was probably about 7 to 8 wines/sakes that were crossed out on the menu. Food came out fast, and the service was decent on that chefs end. I got the Korean Stone bowl dish, and It was pretty tasty, although fairly expensive for what it was... rice, veggies, and a little bit of beef, but I do like the concept of having a hot bowl that progressively warms up the rest of the food inside. I really do wish there was more meat inside for the price, I feel like only two or three bites had beef. One thing that I really noticed (and I think I noticed even more because I was sitting at the bar) was how servers and the bartenders spent a lot more time conversing with their friends (who were sitting at the bar) then checking in on some of the other people. Someone did approach me to put in my drink order, but I flagged down the server to put all my other food orders in. I don't think anybody came and asked how my meal was either. I do enjoy the overall ambience of the place, dim mood lighting, a minimalist esthetic, and a bar that really nicely displays some of their high end liquors.

I can't get over how huge the portions were. That makes Chong's stand out for sure. Also, we asked for "less salt, less sauce" on everything, and it all came out perfectly. Here's what we ordered: * L2 Lunch special: Comes with mongolian beef, chow mein, fried rice, spring roll. I really liked the beef -- a good dish, similar to Panda's. Chow mein was similarly delicious, and the spring roll was fresh, crispy, tasty. The fried rice was the ugly duckling for me. Tasted like rice with soy sauce. That wasn't a big deal though. The rest of the combination was well worth it! * Kung pao chicken: This dish didn't hit the spot for me. The chicken was relatively dry, and I wasn't sure what to make of the taste. It was a bit strange. Not a particular fan, but hey, it was still a large portion! So I'm still a decently happy customer. All in all, there were some misses, but the wins outweigh the losses -- I would more than happily come back to try other dishes! I would highly recommend this place to anyone on a long drive. The massive portions will make you very very happy.

Sushi restaurant or a nightclub?…read more My friend and I decided to go for a night out Downtown. When we arrived at about 7:00pm, we were told there would be about an hour wait. Despite this long wait, there were actually quite a few empty tables, but was overall still very busy. When you put yourself on the waitlist, they notify you through text when your table is ready. This gave us ample time to walk around Downtown while we waited. When we received the table-ready text (just short of an hour later), we were sat quickly in a nice U-shaped booth. This seating arrangement felt a bit awkward for a party of two, especially if you are sharing food. The booth is too big to be sitting close enough to reach but too small to not feel awkward. It is perfect for people watching though since the booths face the entire restaurant. By this time, the restaurant was completely packed, with just about every booth, table, and barstool occupied. Our waiter came quickly to take our drink orders. We got a Cucumber Martini and an Espresso Martini. The Cucumber Martini was incredibly light and refreshing. The Espresso Martini was not impressive. It didn't have a strong espresso flavor and was rather watery, but still alright. This is the type of restaurant, that especially on busy nights like this where they don't accept reservations, you should allocate a lot of time for the dinner service for. There is a significant time gap between each time the waiter comes around to take your order. There was probably 15-20 minutes between placing our drink, appetizer, and meal orders. This was not a problem for us, but if you are eating here before making a show at the Gallo Center, this may be something to consider. For our appetizer, we ordered the Salmon Ceviche. It was insanely good. It was subtly spicy and citrusy. The chips that came with it were light and not oily at all. I wish the portion was larger because the two of us swallowed it up in just a few bites. For our entree, we got the Salmon Tataki and Goodi Rolls to split. They were both very good and came out on a lovely platter. They tasted very fresh and high quality. The prices here are on the higher side but is nice for a special occasion or splurge. Our server was very attentive and checked on us often. He was super friendly too. The restaurant was super lively. They were playing club music which was totally a vibe. It looked like this was the spot people hit before going out for the night. I noticed they were accommodating for both small and large parties, serving both rather quickly. I'll be back!
