Yet, I know those needles all over the floor can be a huge pita..I like to think of it as a once a year pita. Make sure you hydrate your tree daily because they get thirsty too. Tree lots seem far and few between these days. Sure you can hit the big box stores; nothing wrong with that. But, you won't get the same selection and maybe not the freshest tree either..two of the biggest perks for stopping here. Lot is well lit and spacious. They have an indoor tent as well. This local business is formerly known as L&M Tree Farm out of Roselle by Murphy Farms of Itasca. They just moved to this location this year and it's much larger than the previous lot. Tree selection is stellar and there's no comparison to those chains. And, yeah it does come with a price tag, but you're also paying for the best selection and quality. Bill runs the place. Nice guy and offers a LARGE & beautiful assortment of fresh Michigan trees, including some wreaths and garland. Choose from Balsam, Douglas, Fraser firs and a variety of Pines and Spruce. From tiny to tall - they cut, wrap and load on your vehicle. Just a friendly place to stop in. Prices are competitive with other tree lots. A 7 ft. Balsam fir runs around $53, but you might be able to negotiate a little, we did last year. This year, I think Bill's wife was feelin a little 'scroogish' and didn't budge too much other than give us 10% off due to postcards they sent out notifying of their new location. (Bill's nicer at knocking off monies, fyi). Just tell them you got a postcard in the mail. They also charge sales tax (7%) so that 10% discount basically covers this. I don't know why they charge tax tbh...so yeah, support local businesses and bring Bill some holiday cookies!

There is very few pine needles on the floor. The branches are soft to the touch. If it wasn't for the end of recycling pick up this week this tree would still be here. And I have never had a real tree maintain its fabulous aroma for the entire time. At the parties we held last year everyone thought that it was fake. Now John and his lovely wife told me if I took care of it (water frequently) that it would last but wow never dreamed it would last that long. Got the opportunity to go to a Menards that I haven't been to before, since it was in the same…read moredirection as the errands my daughter and I needed to run. I can't get myself to go in the opposite direction from my main errand, even if the total distance covered ends up being longer. Needed parts, specifically garage door hinges. It's a huge Menards, with very large signs attached from the ceiling indicating which was what. We went to the same area where they sell garage door openers, hoping to find someone to help us. But nope, the hanging display had steel hinges. I was afraid that they would only sell them in complete sets, but they sold them individually . There wasn't a huge variety or brands, but the piece we wanted was there and for a low price (same as what Amazon was selling a hinge for). So we got a couple of different ones, a set of rollers in case the existing ones could be replaced. It wasn't too busy, but they had enough registers open so the wait was minimal (one person in front of us). Menards has the payment register all the way at the end of the shopping belt, so as soon as it's your turn, you are encouraged to move there so you can bag your own purchases while paying for it. it does mean that you can't verify the scanned price is what you think it is. We paid and were on our way...need to make sure that our 11% rebate forms are filled out and submitted.

They both look brand new again. He even repaired a very large crack in an antique Indian Bookshelf that was damaged. I can't believe what a beautiful job he did. I would say he is an expert craftsman / artisan. If any of your prized pieces gets damaged, Bob Cook is the person you want to fix it. This is the 2nd time I've used him, by the way.
