    Stumbled upon L'Atlas as we were walking around in the neighborhood & decided to eat our first dinner in Paris here! L'Atlas is a brasserie that has mostly seafood on their menu, but still has a few non-seafood options like steak/ veal. This neighborhood is very lively + all of the restaurants in this area seem busy. We were here for about 2 hours 11pm-1am and there was still people coming in to eat. Being my first time in France, I was a little anxious about the language barrier and only knowing basic phrases like greetings but our server, thankfully, spoke very good English which made for a very smooth dinner experience. What we ordered: -french onion soup€15, came with baguettes to dip -escargots (6)- €23 -cod cooked on skin €35 -grilled salmon fillet €32 -spaghetti alle vongole €27 -grilled octopus €32 Escargots: 5/5. Okay, so I wasn't quite sure what this would taste like but I LOVED IT! The green sauce tasted like pesto garlic & it paired soooo well with the escargot. My favorite dish by far. French Onion Soup: 5/5. Great flavor, lots of onions, good amount of cheese, and dipped with the baguettes... it was perfect! Plus, they gave us extra baguettes on the house at the end of our meal to take back to the hotel. Cod: 4.5/5. I love a nice, buttery cod! Cooked perfectly, not dry at all. It had a tangy flavor to it that I liked but did not love. Salmon, Spaghetti, & Octopus: 4/5. I think the portion sizes were actually pretty good. I think the spaghetti with clams could have been more al dente and not as cooked, but still had great flavor. Overall, really enjoyed our meal. Everyone dined a little longer to watch on the TV Women's basketball Olympics that was happening live. Our waiter was kind and gave us great recommendations. I also had read that at other restaurants in tourist areas of Paris, servers will try to pressure people to tip 20%, though natives do not tip much or at all, & did not have this experience with our server. Would totally come back here again!

    Loved it!! If you are visiting Paris this is what you want!! The waiter was nice and very efficient (contrary to popular belief). The cheese board was more than generous and delicious. We were outside street side and is was busy street but felt like what you should feel in a Paris bistro. And adding to the ambiance was a piano and percussionist playing music at just the right level. Perfect

    Do not sleep on this place. We went for lunch and it was amazing. The food was phenomenal - highly recommend the risotto and French onion soup. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We asked questions about a few items in the menu and the team there was very helpful to explain and even bring us some sample items to try! It's located on a street that is very popular and provides for some great people watching!

    Can't pronounce what I ordered. Sweet bread with linguini. The dish that came had no linguini. I suspect the translation was bad? It was one of their specials. The wine was cheap and good like typical Parisian restaurant. The place seems very popular given the location. Good place to hang and drink. But there are much better value for food in Saint Germain

    Perfect, cozy, spot to stop in for some food and drinks. We came in on a rainy day and their patio was covered with heaters which made the patio perfect for people watching on the streets. Very good prices for the area. I had a rosé to drink, guacamole for the appetizer, and truffle ravioli to share with my boyfriend. The guacamole came with a tiny bowl of tiny tortilla chips and it cost $4 to get more chips which was bummer since extra chips usually comes gratis in the states. The truffle ravioli was DELICIOUS and came with generous shavings of real truffle. The raviolis were bitesize and perfect for sharing with another person. I had a rose with our main meal and they paired very well together. Highly recommend for a date or just for a quick drink and snack.

    We were strolling through Latin quarter and decided to come in to this restaurant for a drink. We decided to have some champagne and antipasto while we people watch. This is a great place to sit outdoors (even in the winter since they have plenty of heaters). We didn't get to try the food so I can't speak for that.

    Stayed at La Louisuane, a terrific little hotel in St Germaine, and this was my "local" - breakfast, lunch and dinner were all stellar. Oyster and onion soup performances were Top 10 lifetime. Atlas is one of the best little brasseries in Paris, hands down.

    I decided to order the Croque Monsieur and boy was it a disappointment. The cheese wasn't melted all the way and had a peculiar texture. The ham was cold towards the middle as was the rest of the sandwich. The bread wasn't even toasted and it was cold. I've had plenty of Croque Monsieur's in my life to know this was not a good one. It tasted like it was pre-made weeks ago, and they re-heated it in a microwave.

    * Delicious Pimm's cup!

    Seafood platter for one... the shrimps were tiny so I think they're meant to eat whole. Oysters and clams were great. The lobster was a lot of work to eat because it came unshelled and the amount of meat you get in return isn't satisfying enough for the effort. Black truffle with gnocchi based in a cream sauce was my favorite dish on the table and the guac and chips were a perfect pairing for the World Cup soccer game, and Burgundy beef with fries was decent where the beef was moist and tender and wonderful but the fries were a let-down. I don't remember what type of cheese w ordered, but it was soft and moist and easy to spread on a piece of bread. That was really good as well. Pimm's cup was full of fresh ingredients but wished there was more drink ...

    Sitting outside at Atlas....my favorite place in all Paris

    we go there every year the food is always great I love the mussels and the onion soup the servers are extremely friendly and very good, the ambiance is a 10+ with an unbelievable location if you like people watching this is the best place in Paris once you see what Buci St. has to offer you will be hooked.

We enjoyed our dinner on the outside of the restaurant after about a 20-30 minute wait. The bone marrow had the best flavor I've experienced for the dish. However, it is definitely overshadowed by the rich flavor of the foie gras. This experience was unforgettable, with our view of Parisian streets on a brisk, April night. We even came back on our last night, but didn't realize the hours on Google maps was for the deli. The restaurant closes earlier, before 9:00 PM. This meal got us thinking about Paris in a positive light, and we hope to be able to come back to eat the amazing dishes again!

As a Chinese, I understood more than 50% of the conservations (Chinese). Which doesn't mean anything about the food. Just observation. Onion soup - 2 stars. First, the cheese failed to emit the baked, melted gruyere cheese, there is no aroma at all. I don't think they used gruyere cheese. May be mozzarella cheese. The worst part was the bread in the soup. It tasted stale which ruin the flavor of the soup. I had to finish without the bread. Escargot - Another disappointment. What made escargots special was the garlic butter and herb. Here, there were the herbs, no garlic, and French is famous with their butter but I taste oil but not buttery. Other places I actually get excited dipping the bread into the garlic butter but not here. Pan seared Foie gras - The quality of Foie Gras was definitely there. It's not as well seared as I hope but they managed to cook it through without overcooking it. The size of Foie Gras is kind of scary, it's like a small piece of rib eye steak. With just the onion soup and Foie Gras, I could barely swallow anything. Generous portion.

Luca Recommended a meal with a mashed potatoes and sausage with French bread and salad and it sounded tasty so I gave it a go! All the flavors went well together; mashed potatoes were well seasoned the sausage had a good flavor, and the salad with the vinaigrette added a crunch in an extra flavor as well. The restaurant itself isn't small, but really not big, so it's definitely worthwhile to make a reservation at least a week or so on advance, otherwise you're pushing your luck. Everyone ordered steak frites (2 rump steak, 2 flank) and no one was disappointed. Steaks were cooked to order, although medium here in France is more like medium rare in the States, just be advised. The restaurant itself is lively and fun with lots of chatting, laughing and good times being shared. Desserts were Crème Brûlée and Apple Crumble, neither of which were disappointing. We definitely enjoyed our dinner and would likely return again. This time with a reservation made well in advance.

Considering the temperature, I almost second-guess myself and ordered something other than their house specialty of au gratin potatoes. In the end, I was very glad I overruled that thought. He just appeared to still be hungry when it was done and a 16 year-old boy that normally has a high caloric intake, I can understand why he wanted a second meal after eating his first! When he brought us food or drinks he nearly dropped it on the table and quickly sped off. Some other servers seemed nice to other guests, so maybe we got one on a bad day but still we felt really upset and uncomfortable with how we were treated, there is no reason for anyone in the service industry to be so rude especially when we were being so polite. You also get blocked into your seat, and are very close to other guests which is fine but you have to call the waiter to pull your table back out to get up or to go to your seat- to which they begrudgingly do so. The beef bourguignon was tasty, but we did not like how both my and my friend's order were brought in the same pot. This resulted in us having maybe 3 tiny potatoes each and not near as much meat as we hoped for. We were expecting to each have our own dish. This was certainly not worth the 36€ per person price point (nearly $80 USD for the one pot of food), and we left the restaurant still hungry and extremely upset and disappointed by the service. Overall I would not return or recommend.
