Most days, when I enter the salon, I am greeted by Tanya, who is one of the most gracious and competent front desk managers I have ever encountered. I get my hair cut by Albert, whom I affectionately call "Edward Scissorhands" because he is a master at cutting hair. Each time I visit, he finds new ways to style my hair, as he is always learning the latest techniques. He truly is the best. Sometimes I simply tell him to "do what you want" because he knows my preferences well, and he always gets it right. I used to have my hair colored by Albert as well, but one day he was extremely busy and suggested I try Marianne, one of his top stylists and colorists. I took his advice, and I have been going to her for years now. She colors my color thoroughly and professionally. Both Albert and Marianne are incredibly skilled at their craft. I asked for honey color highlights and i said that because my hair is damaged the color (foils) takes very fast. The foils were left for close to 40 minutes. She then had to use a toner because my highlight were too light. Now with the toner you can hardly even notice i have highlights. The color for my gray roots was left on for only 10 min. When i questioned why its ont on longer she said they are European colors and only need 10 min to cover the gray roots. She said she also added a treatment for the color to last longer. Now one week later I see gray all over my head. The cost was $350 and with tip over $400. That is a lot of $ to not be happy

He ruined my youngest's gorgeous hair the back looks like a wild animal took a few bites And now I have to pay for another haircut to fix it. I know prices have gone up across the board in many things and services, but for two children's haircuts that is extremely excessive no matter how nice the haircut, or in this case not nice, it was not worth the price considering that neither of my children had their hair washed and were just sprayed damp with a water bottle and then given a trim and he used a hairdryer for a minute after the cut. We were not there long at all. Shame on me for not asking the price before or saying how outrageous the cost was, when I walked in and I made the appointment a few days prior would've never thought that two children's haircuts would cost $100 plus tip in a small and average hair service, would not call this a salon in Little Neck!

The week of my wedding, I realized i couldn't use the 3 make up artists i booked with another company bc they refused to show proof of vaccination or a negative covid test. Panicked, my mom and I called all the local salons in great neck. When i tried Airbar Blow Dry Bar, I was lucky enough to get the owner Jessica, who immediately put me at ease. She could tell i was in a super stressful situation and told me that by the end of the day, she'd sort out my need for make up artists for my wedding. That very same evening Jessica got back to me with 2 incredible make up artists, Stephanie and Breiana, both of whom were willing to comply with the covid restrictions imposed by my wedding venue. The paperwork to reserve the artists was extremely reasonable and easy to follow. I was able to fill it out and pay my deposit the next day. In addition, Jessica reserved these artists for the entire morning so they were able to travel to the venue where i was getting ready. I can't say enough about the actual work these artists did. I have never felt more beautiful. I showed Stephanie and inspiration photo which she followed to a T. Stephanie and Breiana both did my bridesmaids as well who looked flawless. My make up lasted all day. I will absolutely be back in the salon to have either of these artists do my make up. If you are planning a wedding, I'd definitely book these women ASAP.
