The line was super long, but it was ok for me. However, once we got to the register to place our order, it took a while for someone to come and take our order. We didn't wait long after placing our order, but they made one of our orders wrong . The Oreo cookies and cream ice cream didn't have enough Oreo

    Chamomango, small

On a hot Texas afternoon with the family and after a recommendation from a friend, we checked out La Abejita Ice Cream. Not a bad thing: we managed to communicate with my broken Spanish and the employee's broken English. There are plenty of signs and pictures to point to and order. They have fresh fruits with or without Tajin, homemade ice cream and churros and palettas. Everyone was very friendly. There are a few tables to sit and eat there. We grabbed some palettas to take home as well. The portion size of the churros with ice cream was enough to feed our family of 5. The chamomango was fresh and delicious.

What a nice little find right here in Plano. The ladies running this place are extremely nice and helpful even if you are not a Spanish speaker. The prices were extremely reasonable and the variety of food and deserts is really great. We tried the Chamango on this trip and it was a big hit. Check this place out this summer when you looking for a cool treat or snack.

you can clearly see where it says no jalapeños just extra cucumber

we asked for no jalapeños since my daughter doesn't eat spicy food seems like i asked for extra jalapeños she said oh i can't change it just take of the jalapeños when it wasn't my fault it was her employers fault

4 out of 5. Another unique Hispanic location, but recommended from Patti at Sweet Firefly. Very rich and creamy with a delicious eggnog taste. And, like other Hispanic markets, very, very cheap. I need to look into that. #31IceCreamShopsIn31Days #NationalIceCreamMonth

4.5 Do you want some good ice cream that's housemade? Do you want paletas made with nice seasonal fruits? Do you want me to stop asking questions? Go to La Abejita Ice Cream. My friend Irene L. suggested to grab ice cream here. I had no idea what to expect. The store is small and there's really no seating, but that don't matter bro. Huge selection of paletas going for 1.50. They have mass produced paletas also... but naw you want the housemade ones. I got the rice and coconut paleta while Irene L. got the lime and Mammy (dunno what that is) ice cream. Rice & Coconut Paleta - pretty much a popsicle bar. It had the flavor profile of Horchata with real coconut flesh in it. It was extremely refreshing and i've actually craving one right now. Mammy & lime ice cream - Apparently they don't use any milk in their ice cream base.... i have no idea how they get it so creamy then. The flavors are bright and bold.... they are not afraid to make it the star of the show. This place is awesome. A friendly lady there also told us that they chicharones goes hard... they smother it in cheese and meat and ish. DANG!

If you want not so heavy ice cream that's super fresh in fruit then this place is it! Melon, coconut & Guava ice cream are all winners! Hardly anyone here speaks English & all the customers are Latino as well but who cares if the ice cream is awesome, right? I love "hole in the walls" & this place for sure is a hidden treasure! They also have churros & house made popsicles! :) when I'm inside here it feels like I'm not in the USA... Fun times! They also catered an event for us... more like we got 9 gallons of awesome ice cream for an incredible deal and picked it up from the store! PEOPLE GO EAT THEIR ICE CREAM!

Amazing ice cream, it is absolutely delicious!!! Very refreshing. We are definitely going back!! It is very inexpensive ($1.50) and wonderful. They also have the Mexican popsicles there!! It is a gem hidden in east Plano. I strongly recommend that you try the mamey ice cream.

The lines are long because the service is extremely slow.

If you don't speak spanish you're going to have a hard HARD time. The food here is great but unfortunately the services here is slow and do not speak any english. I was the only one in the store and I didn't get anyone to ask for what my order was until 10 minutes of standing there blankly. I even called out an excuse me and the women standing behind the counter looked at me and continued to do whatever she was doing behind there. The service here is terrible but atleast the food was good and the prices were low.

The food is concession stand quality, but it's a snack shop with low prices. Try the pine nut ice cream or the elote.

Everything looked good to me and I was trying to make a decision. I counted 7 employees and not one greeted me or offered help. There were a couple other people in the store but there was no line. I asked a young woman for help and she was polite but not at all welcoming. I ordered one pint of Coconut and one pint of Cookie Dough. She was having a difficult time scooping the ice cream into the pint containers, so a gentleman working behind the counter as well, took over. As I watched him pack the containers I thought they looked kind of shallow. At other ice cream stores I frequent, they pack the ice cream solid and heavy. I felt like they just didn't really care, actually. I was friendly and smiling as I'm one of "those people" who wants everyone to like them! I paid for the order and tipped 15% on the register. That was the smallest percent offered unless you said "no tip" or custom. I I typically tip much more but felt like I shouldn't since they were so unfriendly. When I returned home and got the containers out to taste the ice cream, I could definitely see they weren't 16 ounces. I got my scale out to check and indeed, they came up way short. I mean...for the price? $7.99 ...$8 a pint? At least fill it up to get what you are paying for, am I wrong? I won't go back and I'm sure they couldn't care less, but for others who don't frequent centers like this one was in, you may want to know ahead of time what to expect. Taste wise? It was very creamy and good.

I was feeling rather sad for myself after a lousy morning and knew I needed to treat myself to dinner and dessert in an effort to turn my evening around. I'd actually found Henry's a few days ago while looking for a hot dog spot. I'd already devoured a dinner plate when I arrived so a hot dog was out of the question for this visit but I'm totally doing a hot dog, followed by ice cream on my next visit. My split cone, and patriotic rainbow sprinkled waffle cone was soul satisfying! I sat outside and it melted all over. Not a single f given. I left a sticky mess but totally worth it. I'll surely return in the future and hope these two flavors are staples because they nailed them. I've tasted some great ice cream and to be completely honest, that wedding cake flavor should be award winning if it isn't. The flavor profile combined with the texture components. Sensational! Service was friendly. Highly recommend.

I ordered a crepe cake for my son's 21st birthday as a request he wanted so we found Mango Mango Dessert on Google. My daughter called to inquire on how much the cake was and was told $85 cash but $115 if you pay by credit card. I was in disbelief that the fee to pay by credit card would be $30 more. We placed the order and I took cash and had my phone to pay by card. We got there and the young lady asked my daughter if we were paying by cash or card. My daughter responded card. I got to the counter and then we interacted with a gentleman and I asked him could I pay by card. He said yes and rung it up, the total came to $104.63. I asked him how much was the cake and he said $85 but there's a processing fee. I responded that that was a high processing fee and normally businesses I've interact with only charge 3% convenience fee at the most. To avoid paying the $19.63 processing fee, I paid $85 cash for my transaction but I don't think a consumer should have pay the merchant's processing fee to that extent for that amount and I got a free mango smoothie for the points I would have earned for my purchase. The mango smoothie was absolutely delicious and for that I will go back again because I haven't found anyone that makes a smoothie with real mangos and it was sweet. I will also add that their customer service was still very nice. If you are interested in getting a cake made here, it's cost effective to pay by CASH.
