    Breakfast Tacos
    Leyang Z.

Have been there twice this year. The first time was not bad but the second time was kind of disappointing. The worst thing was that I found someone's hair on my table. Not sure whether they had cleaned the table careful enough. I ordered breakfast tacos and enchiladas, with chicken and mole sauce. The tacos, which were stuffed with lots of freshly cooked egg and potatoes, tasted good. However , for the enchilada plate, the mole sauce was too sweet for me and the flavor of the shredded cheese just didn't combine well with the enchiladas. Maybe it would be better if they melt the cheese with the sauce? So I think the restaurant was not bad but still needs improvement. I have also heard that the seafood there was nice, so I may try it later.

Best spot for Mexican seafood! Especially if you go with a big group and share the snapper. It's also awesome that they have karaoke too.

I would call this a spicy seafood broth - a very tasty starter

Tasty food, great murals. A variety of salsas were available- all were fresh and good. I really liked the spicy soup they served us as we were seated. I had fish tacos with black beans and diced potatoes. I liked the tacos and the beans were cooked and spiced nicely. Great to see a lot of seafood on the menu. Will return to try other interesting dishes.

A very different twist of flavors from this coastal mexican restaurant. The Agua Fresca were phenomenal and we were able to try each one before we settled on the limon and the horchata. I had the torta Gabby and as other reviewers stated the complexity of flavors made this torta unique and had tons of umami. The wife had the chipotle and crema chicken, she doesn't like spicy foods but found this dish very fresh and not too spicy. Overall this restaurant is very fresh and light. They have a surplus of seafood dishes which I will definitely try next time.

La Bahia is not your typical Mexican restaurant... it's better! They have great seafood as well as traditional Mexican cuisine. I love the namesake food of the restaurant and also the tilapia. I'm excited to try out more cuisine when I return.

La Bahía Grill is a unique and charming addition to the Downtown restaurant scene. The space is bright, colorful and inviting, the staff genuinely warm, friendly and attentive. They invited our questions about the many menu options and happily provided answers. Our entrees arrived in a timely fashion and both the Salmon al gusto (salmon) and Huachinango al gusto (red snapper) were beautifully presented and perfectly prepared. As we complemented the staff and thanked them for a wonderful experience, we discovered that we were talking to one of the owners. With great enthusiasm, she shared with us her desire to bring a unique restaurant experience to the area. I concur that she has succeeded in doing just that. Hopefully this is just the first of many enjoyable visits to La Bahia Grill.

They have a huge selection of foods predominantly from China, South Korea, and Japan. I have seen some Indian, Vietnamese, and Filipino stuff though including a generous section of spices and whatnot. The prices are quite affordable and they have a great assortment of fresh produce, deli foods like ready to eat kimbap or squid salad, baked goods, pick your own hotpot items, and fresh bbq (put out at 11am). Their staff is super friendly and diverse (a sign at the entrance touts the multilingual abilities of the staff). They seem to have everything including more niche ingredients and even live seafood! I also appreciate that they freshly butcher meat to sell unlike other stores like Amko that freeze it all. There's also a home goods section with cute bowls, makeup, and other stuff. This is all relatively close to campus too and worth the trip. It's also right next to Golden Harbor, which is a plus. I found out about their membership card. You get 1 point per dollar spent and it builds up - it seems handy especially if you shop here frequently. They are still in the opening stage but hopefully the food court will open up soon!

Their fresh produce was a bit low in stock but they had Taiwan and Napa cabbage and fresh ginger. Inside seems clean and there is parking right outside of the market. Cashier was really friendly. There is a membership to earn points to redeem for coupon. Don't forget to grab some Japanese or Korean instant coffee packs and special lays flavored chips! Those are so good.

I'm not a sandwich person, but my 16 year old is, and I wanted something I could eat to-go. You can smell the scent of yummy as you walked into the door. It appears to be a gourmet grocery store, specializing in sushi grade seafood, pasta from Italy, fancy cheeses, meats, caviar, and sodas from around the country. They had diet Cheerwine, even. I've never seen so many different root beers in one place- there was even a pumpkin root beer! There wasn't a BLT on the menu, but they custom made one for my son, and he added pesto and provolone. He declared it the best BLT ever, and knocked his favorite sandwich place back home to second place. I had the Thanksgiving everyday. A $16 buck sandwich, I was skeptical it wasn't going to live up to its price point. However, it was worth every cent. It was turkey, goat cheese, and homemade cranberry sauce on sourdough, and grilled panini style on a press. The turkey was sliced fresh- everything was made fresh. The taste was absolutely amazing. I live in California, but hate most sourdough bread, because that tang tastes spoiled. You don't have that weird taste with Cheese and Crackers sourdough bread- it's just delicious toasted buttered bread. It was the right texture and made it crunch. The crew appeared very hardworking and enjoyed their jobs. We were greeted kindly, and felt welcome. I use a walker, and was able to navigate the store, but note the space is kinda small. Since I don't live here, I'm going to do my best to recreate my sandwich at home. Cheese and Crackers- thanks for teaching me about a delicious flavor combination, and for providing an enjoyable epicurean experience.

Felt like feeling a burn. It's about $15 for an entree which is okay because you get a lot. Also has more authentic options that get even crazier. I got the Mapo Tofu. A great thing is it's not a recipe that uses pork. This is soft tofu with a spicy ass sauce. Could have used a few vegetables in it. This was still pretty good though.
