My wife and I have been eating at La Parrilla restaurants since the first location was opened in downtown Marietta over 30 years ago. We've dined in, at least, 8 of their locations, and, unfortunately, in the last several years, this is the only one where the quality and service have been consistent. This well-known Mexican restaurant has been a fixture in the Acworth area for at least a couple decades & is still known for good food & service & the typical Mexican restaurant vibe. I hadn't been in maybe 15 years until a few weeks ago. We had a group of 5 or 6 at lunch & were seated quickly & served efficiently. We got more basic lunch fare - like tacos & enchiladas, as opposed to some of their fancier choices. The lunch was good; we'll likely go back for dinner soon. read more

Is abusive to customers by not upgrading their ventilation system. The food is good and tasty BUT you need to shower from head to toe after eating there. It really doesn't make sense, since fast food restaurants are frying french fries and cooking bacon all day long and you never smell fried food or grease when you seat inside to eat. Again, is abusive! They should be able to afford upgrading their ventilation system because they have lots of clientele. I guess they don't care too much about the customers as long as they keep coming back that's all they care about... I would definetely choose another restaurant if I'm dining out on a special occasion and I'm dressing up... I can't even order take out because just standing inside a few minutes to pay for the order, will fumigate your whole body with that strong smell including your clothes, and even, your underwear. This place was great. Inside was a little noisy and we would've preferred the patio, but we were in such a hurry. We didn't think to ask. The fajitas were amazing. Chips just right. Our server Olivia was wonderful. We were in a big hurry to get to our campsite before they locked the gate and she really helped us out getting our order in and to us quickly. Food is always good. However, a lady decided to have a call on speaker phone for the entire place to hear. I asked the server for the manger and after 10 minutes he said the manager declined to come to our table or tell her to stop. "He didn't want to upset a customer!" I said what about us! Great place for easy and consistent American style Mexican dishes. Our chip baskets and drinks and always full and the salsa flows like the frozen margaritas from the machine. We love coming here after church. Parking is limited and this places is always busy. Expect a short wait and be prepared to walk from deeper into the Publix parking lot. read more

La parrilla has been around for years and since going corporate it has lost several steps. First step is being waaaaay overpriced for Mexican food. Second step was the amount and quality of the food. I ordered the chimichanga with brisket and it was a tiny burrito which would compare to the frozen burritos get Kroger. Almost $20 for with a tip! Let's just say, I'll be going to a number of better Mexican restaurants that are better, more generous portions and reasonably priced. Solid! Definitely will add to my list when I'm wanting something more authentic. Our first time dining here was on Cinco de Mayo and we were pleasantly surprised by how quickly they seated us, given the crowd. They also had a great atmosphere with the DJ! However, the server did let us know they had a "limited" menu and that was a little disappointing. I also didn't like the plastic cups and utensils. BEST SALSA IN ACWORTH! Queso cheese is great too! Chips were airy and crispy 10/10. The Nachos weren't the best, and the chicken tacos were a bit dry. I came here after a horrible customer service experience at Pablonos. I was greeted by a friendly hostess promptly. I was seated immediately even though they were quite busy. The waitress greeted me within two minutes and she had four other tables. She took my order and she was very nice, friendly, welcoming. She asked if I had any questions about the menu. She promptly brought me my drink order, chips and salsa. The meal arrived so fast. I ordered shrimp fajitas and they were excellent. She recommended a brownie dessert and normally I am not a dessert person or care for brownies but I must say I ate every bite of it and it was delicious. Everything was served very temperature hot, and condiments were fresh. I am a fan and will be back. The inside and restrooms were spotless. Great service and food. read more

Eliana, our server. Is ALL I can say. She is the most amazing server i have ever had in my life, and im not even joking. She was attentive, fast, personable, and GREAT AT WHAT SHES DOING!!! You need to give this girl a raise!! Our original server didnt show (they didn't know where she went), so we eventually asked if we could be served by someone and she stepped right up immediately and helped us completely. Not only is she an amazing server, but she is also a full-time student. If that's not beyond impressive then I don't know what is. The other people in our group had stopped to tell her that she is so amazing at what shes doing, and that it's sad that they've never had a server this good in their 60+ years of living. I will be returning to this restaurant JUST to visit Eliana. Cannot express how incredible she is. She does not get the credit she deserves, and yall are BEYOND lucky to have her on your staff. I've been here a few times. They are ALWAYS busy for dinner. Plan ahead! They are still fairly fast at seating you, but you can expect a wait. The ambiance is great. The place is clean and well kept. They have your traditional paint and decorations. They do have multiple TV's for sports and such in the bar area. The food has always been good. I've tried a few different items and been happy each time. The service is friendly and it's pretty quick once you sit. Last time we were there our server gave my little girl a balloon. We have been eating at the Dallas Highway location since 2014. We ordered from the Cedarcrest location through DoorDash because we moved in 2021 and La Parrilla completely screwed up my order. I've never had this happen at the Dallas Highway location. Very disappointed. read more

This place is a go to and the location is very convenient since we live so close by. Come here quiet often and all dishes we have had are quiet good. When we order take out the order is always right and typically is very fast. The drinks are also very good as well. I recommend a frozen margarita guava flavor, yummy! Dropping one star. This is the first restaurant that has asked me if I want to donate to charity when bringing my bill/check. "Would you like to donate to "insert charity here"? Anything helps." I've been getting it at grocery stores, fast food chains AND NOW La Parilla. I find it the equivalent of walking down city streets and being asked; "Can I have a dollar?" "Do you have a quarter?" "Can I have a cigarette?" I will not donate to your charities because I do not like this request for donations EVERY TIME I visit a business. Never disappointed in the Hostess they stay on top of the people and seat you very fast very professional. They have waiters that try to take care of you and all aspects you may need. We have dined with this location plenty of times and the food is pretty good and most servers are decent here. I dined with a group of 9 last night and it was horrendous. There was someone in our group that had dined and had the server we had and said "this is not going to go well" apparently she is an awful server and everything goes wrong. As it was busy we decided to stay with said server. BIG MISTAKE! We sat for over 40 min with empty drinks and no food. One of our plates came out and then the server asked me if I wanted two or three tacos and then proceeded to put in the rest of the order after one plate came out. We asked and she said " I put in one plate but then got pulled away" so I just finished now. So one person ate while the other 8 had to wait then 2 more plates came out and we had to wait even longer so it wasn't all at once. She never refilled drinks and by the end of service we had been there over 2 hours. The manager on duty offered a $5 discount to our bill! $5 was a slap in the face for the horrible service and cold food and the fact that we sat for 2 hours! The server never ever came back until she was ready to take payment. Meanwhile the only other table she had had plates piled up and from what they said a huge mistake on their check that she had charged them and then had to fix. The manager basically told us, this is all we could do. Within 5 minutes I could be at another Mexican restaurant that is just as good and will now receive all my service from now on. It's sad because there are some great servers there but it's hit or miss along with the food and they don't rectify anything when they mess up. Not worth the risk or my money to come back. read more

Yes!!! This place is as good as it sounds! Top quality food, staff and service here! I don't know what it is, but when the manager stops by your table once or twice every time you eat there, just to say hello and make sure there isn't anything he can do to make you meal more pleasant, I have to gush... Food is always good to very good here, servers are prompt and courteous (and they actually help each other out!!!), and they actually have an outdoor patio that's big enough to hold multiple tables. It's very nice! This place is also a truly family friendly restaurant. If you like Mexican, you should give this place a try! You will be back! read more
