Xixi (IG @xixi_dn) did a great job. Within an hour my full set was complete and perfectly to my liking. I'm very picky with acrylic as they tend to make my nails look kind of wide and bulky but she laid the acrylic on so well and nicely and pretty thin. And she shaped my nails very nicely. Usually I end up filling my nails a bit at home after getting them done because one or two of the nails look a little wonky but not today!--not with Xixi's expert work. I LOVE my nails!

Had to remind to use cuticle softener, and could've pushed back cuticles more, otherwise it was good. Lee did a great job applying the gel color. I'm not from here so I just popped in and appreciated the last minute accommodation.

Minimal service I came here for the first time since my usual nail salon is about two hours away and I was hoping to find something closer. I requested a full removal of builder gel, a trim back down to my natural nail length, and then a regular gel polish. The removal itself was fine, but I did feel a little uneasy because the technician using the electric drill was frequently looking away from my nails while the drill was still pressed down. Once the gel color was applied, I asked for what I thought was a fairly simple leaf design. The first attempt unfortunately looked very messy and uneven--almost like a child had drawn the leaves. I ended up waiting for another technician to finish her client so she could redo the design. The second tech did improve it, but the process took much longer than expected. Overall, the solid color gel application was fine, but it seems like more practice may be needed for nail art designs. read more

Location is easy to park at, which is a huge plus. Staff members are friendly. However, my last experience was not so great in that the quality of the pedicure was sub par. See photo - the paint was on my cuticles and the top coat did not cover the entire nail, especially the big toe. This left an odd shadow, and I notice it every time. read more

Horrible quality of nails. Didn't listen to what I wanted. I asked her keep redoing my French tip until she gets it right and she couldn't even do it properly. Literally crooked French tips. I wish I could give the barber a good review. He would have done a very good job on me. But his electric hair trimmer was so poor that it often pulled my beard hair to the point that it was painful. If he spends some money to replace his poor equipment with good equipment, I would give him five stars. But with his current equipment, I am afraid that I cannot recommend him. read more

I've had my nails done by Xixi twice. I've also had a pedicure done here. Never again. Both services felt rushed and while the nails looked beautiful, having a good atmosphere and customer service is crucial to me. Xixi was also incredibly quiet when speaking to where I couldn't hear her that well. I will say that if you are interested in a quiet appointment with minimal to no talking then she is a good fit for you. She was very kind overall but I prefer a more talkative and interactive manicurist. read more

I just have every unpleasant experience today. I made a couple appointments with Xixi, and this salon several times but I am really disappointed today. I was 15min late to my appointment today and I am not justified for being late but this happened before and everything fine. However I was informed today I can't do any design and I can only do color because she has another appointment coming up in an hour at 2. Plus she basically blame me for not sending her nails picture so she just assume I want to do simple nails. However these two are things I was never informed. I was never informed that if I am 15 min late I can only do simple nails, and I have to send her nails picture everytime I make appointment. Also, every time we do design is also almost two hours so when Xixi told me that if I am 15 min early we can do design in this 1 hour time slot is also unheard. Since I already have a design in mind I have change my appointment day and don't even know if I want to make appointment with them anymore. This is a very unpleasant experience and this is very unprofessional. The least you can do is to communicate with your clients and make everything clear. This all happened when I came in to the store and she is already serving the girl that has 2 o'clock appointment and I have to ask for all of these information to come out. read more

Studio salon is clean, neat, and relaxing. My family has been coming here for years. They provide pedicures for my older mom and dad and take incredibly good care of them, providing deep massage and scrubbing for their feet and legs. Recommend making an appointment first, but they do walk-ins too. I also regularly get pedicures and manicures here, and they are always excellent. Staff are friendly, gentle, and professional. Highly recommend for older people that need extra care for their feet/calves, and for anyone that wants a cool nail design from a great team. Location is accessible/free parking. read more

Got a mani/pedi here today with my MIL, we had a great time. The place was clean, updated and nice looking. But most importantly they did a great job on our nails! I like that they did not cut into my skin or over cut my nails. Additionally, there was spacious parking, best massage chair I've sit in so far, great selection of nail polishes and prices were fair. BEST NAIL SALON IN TOWN. Have been coming here since 2018. Every time I come here I love the way my nails end up! I've tried practically all the nail salons in Davis, First Lady nails, g-nails, myland nails, etc. My least favorite experience was definitely myland nails, within the same day of getting a set, my pinky acrylic fell off within two hours!! Now I live in Sacramento and whenever I have the opportunity to go to Davis I'll get them done here! I typically love really long acrylics but only have pictures of three shorter sets I've gotten done. read more

I needed a haircut but the barbers I usually go to we're all booked weeks out. I noticed pictures of male haircuts and decided to give this place a try. Sure enough I got respond right back and made an appointment the following day. Mask on and cash in hand and showed up a few minutes early. Friendly guy not sure how to spell his name but starts with a P. I told him I wanted a #1 fade and a little off the top. Within 30 min I was in and out. Xixi is hands down the best nail artist I have ever gone to. She is fast while still making your nails perfect, and it's an affordable price for the quality you get! I would recommend making an appointment as they sometimes can have a wait, especially if you're planning on requesting something more time consuming like a full set with a painted design. read more

The atmosphere was friendly and bright, although I like my spas to be a little bit darker and more serene. I was a bit nervous about the whole procedure but Kelly (I'm pretty sure that was her name!) was super nice and friendly! I was taken to a room where I had to seriously take off everything and wait for her all while being covered with two lil towels(eeek!). This being naked in front of a stranger thing is much easier after a long night of binge drinking... but I won't get started on that. Anyhow! She exfoliated my whole body with some sort of salt scrub, it really felt amazing. Afterwards I put my robe on and went into an other room where I jumped in a spaceship pod thing! She then put a seaweed mud wrap all over me and closed the pod. This thing was so rad.. it would vibrate and the temperature went up to 118 degrees! I stayed in there for 30 minutes. It was so relaxing I was very close to falling asleep a couple of times... but I was a lil worried that maybe I was actually fainting not sleeping because of the heat ha! Anyhow, this is an amazing way to detox after a week long drinking binge! I ended up sweating all the vodka away! I then took a quick shower to get all sparkly clean and this was followed with some body oil that she massaged on me. The whole experience was very different and fun! I want to try to come back again... this is a good way to shed that extra water weight some of us might be holding on to. I followed this up with hot yoga, what an amazing detoxifying routine!

Honey, my nurse, is cognizant of the cleanliness/asepsis in her practice which I appreciate. I'm a retired nurse so I'm very particular with cleanliness. She's also easy to talk too and makes you feel at ease during the session. During my consultation, she answered all my questions and then some during my procedure. No pain, no gain they say...well, on the contrary, there is no pain. I had microneedling and the numbing cocktail they have is AMAZING! Upon getting to the nail salon I was greeted by these two wonderful ladies and immediately loved their customer service. Lee did my dip powder manicure. She was very detail-oriented and very accommodating. She frequently asked if I liked my nails and if something needed to be fixed she would take care of it right then and there. I decided to go with a baby blue color and when I tell you she exceeded my expectations, SHE DID. I usually dislike getting my nails done because they either come out uneven or the nail tech cuts me but Lee was so meticulous AND she was quick. My pedicure was done by Lenna. She really took her time despite almost closing. The appointment lasted about 45 mins. I was charged $55 (very affordable for the amount of hair she cut off, plus blow dry and straighten). I used to pay about $80 at Scissorhands for "just okay" haircuts... but as an Asian girly, I trust my Asian hairstylists. Plus it's very decent pricing. This is my second time getting my haircut with Devon and I will absolutely keep coming back. My hair looks so much healthier.

I have never been treated so badly by ANY business in my entire life! The ladies were very rude, disrespectful, and ganged up on me. Here's the situation: I bought a gift certificate for a manicure (including tips) for my girl and they would not accept it because it was past the due date. What type of gift certificates/gift cards EXPIRE!?? So basically, it's as if I just GAVE them my money for NOTHING. I tried to explain that I did not realize my girl was pregnant when I purchased the gift certificate. I found out about her early pregnancy shortly after buying the gift certificate. Clearly, somebody who is pregnant should NOT be around chemicals, specially during the early stages of her pregnancy. In addition, after my daughter was born, her mother was way too sick to get a damn manicure. I tried explaining all this to them but they RUDELY refused to accept the gift certificate. I even said that if their prices went up, then I would be willing to pay the difference. This was very humiliating, partly because my girl and daughter were there as I was trying to plead for them to reconsider their expired gift certificate policy. I am NEVER buying anything from them and I am going to urge all my female friends to stay away from this place!!! I think if my skin color were the same as them, then I might have been treated differently. I shouldn't be treated differently because of the color of my skin. These ladies are obviously not mothers and do not understand what a pregnant woman or someone who recently gave birth has had to go through. By far, the WORST business in Davis! They were quick to take my money, but not quick to render the services to us!!! read more

This place changed ownership in then end of summer of 2017. Ignore reviews prior to this. I came to this salon following Kim (the new owner) when she left Ara Spa to start her own business. Kim is does amazing pedicures. Not only does her polish stay on forever (I get the next pedicure when it grows out), the pedicure experience is wonderful; a fantastic foot and lower leg massage. It really feels like a whole spa experience. I highly recommend Kim for a pedicure. read more

This is the only place I go to now to have my eyebrows done in the Sacramento area. I have been all over and haven't found anyone better. All the other places would ask who I had been to before and how excellent my shape was, and then not do as good a job. I now live in SF and I still come here when I'm in town because they truly are the best. read more
