The ice was finely shaved and made with a block of clear ice and the syrups were mixed house and tasty. I ate about half way down then asked for more syrup which the owner was more than happy to add more. She was really friendly and personable. There's apparently some bentos or plate lunches but I didn't see them or see prices for them. One of the regulars came in and asked for it but it was sold out for the day. There were a few parking spots in front in their parking lot. There seem to be a bunch of regulars. I thought the price was very reasonable and probably the best shave ice in Kailua. After I noticed the sign said Hilo style ice shave, not shave ice. I didn't see any difference but just thought it was odd that it's called ice shave. I wish there were prices listed for the add on's but it's a great deal. Next time I'll come earlier and try to snag a plate lunch.
