Disclaimer: This review is just for the matcha. If you're a matcha enthusiast like us, I wouldn't recommend coming here. I was really excited to try this place because of the good reviews. It was a Friday morning and parking was pretty difficult to find since all the street parking was full, but we were willing to make the effort for a nice drink. The seating area was nice, and we were greeted warmly by the staff, which made the place seem promising. However, as soon as we saw the dull green color of our matcha latte, we could tell it wasn't very good quality. When we tried it, the matcha flavor was lacking and it tasted mostly like milk. My friends got the mango matcha and strawberry matcha, but the strawberry puree tasted a bit off. Unfortunately, we really wanted to like this place, but the matcha was disappointing. read more

Accidentally stumbled upon this drive thru coffee shop when I initially planned to kill time at Windward Mall to wait for my lunch order at Adela's. The long line of cars intrigued me...after 11 AM, nonetheless! The wait time wasn't so bad, maybe no more than 10-15 minutes from pulling in to picking up my order. I asked the lady taking my order of their most popular coffee drinks. She mentioned their banana bread latte and a cold brew drink I forgot about, but I ended up ordering an iced vanilla latte... usually my baseline when visiting a new coffee shop. I believe good quality coffee shouldn't haven't to be masked by all sorts of flavors unless the coffee shop wants to highlight any in-house syrups and flavorings. The iced latte wasn't bad...if anything, the espresso was nice and strong! I didn't understand the long line before lunch, unless Holoholo is the best handcrafted coffee on Kaneohe, or that it's conveniently located across from Windward Mall? This is probably one of those coffee snob reviews lol... my husband makes lattes from our espresso machine every day and I'm in the middle of learning how to make lattes myself. There was a huge line to go to the coffee stand located in a parking lot just past the Plaza. The service was really good and the server was very knowledgeable about the items on the menu. Overall it was in generally nice location and I really enjoy getting the opportunity to stop by as I have been seeing it pop up on my Instagram feed lately. My friend took us out here and it's a little stand in a parking lot that you drive up to (across from windward mall). The menu is only up by the ordering area, so I would suggest using other people's photos of the menu so you have kind of an idea of what you want. I was craving lemonade so I tried the strawberry guava lemonade and it was so good! Just enough flavoring but still tart, which I really like. Our favorite coffee in windward!! Their lattes are smooth and perfectly balanced, not too sweet or bitter. They are located in an easy to get to parking lot across from the mall and have a simple system of ordering and pickup as you drive through; just check the menu ahead of time! read more

found this place on a whim and it was such a cute pop up shop! service was nice and relatively quick and located in a spot where there was ample seating/tables and some shade. parking might be a little tricky here or even finding it as maps takes you completely somewhere else. as for the drinks, i wish we had tried their coffees instead of their matchas because i heard those are really good...we unfortunately were a little disappointed by our matcha drinks as they were very watery/light. not much matcha flavor, if any at all, and all you could really taste was just the strawberry or mango syrup/puree. don't get me wrong, those purées were still very good, however, the drink itself just tasted like strawberry or mango waters/teas than matchas. i would love to come back to try their other drinks and hopefully update this review with a better rating! read more

Cute drive-through coffee spot in Kaneohe behind the target shopping center. Went through on a Monday morning and it was pretty busy, and understandable considering their large menu and friendly service. I opted for the blackberry pear lotus energy for $7.50 with cream. I waited about 5 mins for my drink. It was ice cold, refreshing, and not overly sweet. I liked the brightness of the drink and creaminess, it wasn't sitting heavy like coffee sometimes does and it started my day off lovely. Not only was I not impressed with any of the drinks we bought, I'm also very disgruntled that I was charged an extra $3 on top of the drink price when I asked for no ice and it was never mentioned, even-though when I ordered they did say it wouldn't be full because I asked for no ice (which I was ok with since I was driving it half way across the island and didn't want the ice to melt and water it down). They also charge an extra $1 for alternative milk (oat, coconut etc) and .50 for each syrup!! They should mention it when ordering - especially since we had a few cars in front of us and was no where near the menu... ps: the menu doesn't note anything about an up-charge for no ice!! Maybe wouldn't be as bitter if the drinks were actually tasty but the matcha drinks were watery and didn't have enough matcha in them - so JUNK. Will not waste my money here again!! My daughter was performing at Palikū theater for the weekend and I was spending a lot of time waiting. This coffee trailer is close by and I went to check it out after dropping her off. I went two days in a row and had a great experience both days. Day 1: I asked the barista for her recommendation for someone with a sweet tooth and she recommended the honey girl and I also added vanilla cold foam. It was sooo good. Very sweet but a nice balance with the coffee. 10/10. My husband got the Red Bull POG infusion and also liked it but the Honey Girl was the star of the show. Day 2: iced white chocolate latte with Mac nut cold foam. Oat milk. Also very very good. Although Honey girl is my preferred of the two. I want to try the Mana Wahine next time even though I'm not sure if I'll like the cold brew. The pictures look good. The barista was sweet and helpful and I was shocked with how quickly the order was ready 2-3 minutes max. I came in on Veterans Day since I was in the area. They must be very popular because there were cars lining out the parking lot. It's a little easy to miss because it's in the middle of a random parking lot, but you can't miss the crowd. It's a drive thru coffee shop. I had to patiently about 15 minutes to order. Their Instagram didn't have a menu and I couldnt find any recent menu pictures on yelp so I decided to wait till I got to the front to review the menu. There are a lot of options and the girl who took our order was very nice and knowledgeable. We got two drinks, one cold brew and one lotus energy drink. In total, it was around $20, but they were both 24oz so that's not that bad for the price. I got the Mana Wahine which had a strong lavender taste. The caffeine definitely hits. The ocean mist was coconut water, blue raspberry and green apple. That tasted similar to green river. Overall, I'd go back to try the other options. I hope that they open a store front so that it may be easier to accommodate all the people. read more

My order is always the iced macnut latte, and it never disappoints. The macadamia nut flavor is smooth, slightly nutty, and perfectly balanced with the espresso. It's not overly sweet, which I really appreciate. It's the perfect place to swing by before heading to the beach or starting your day. I stumbled across Holo Holo Drive Thru Espresso after leaving the Windward Mall. If you exit the back side of the mall near the blood donation trailer, you'll find their cute coffee trailer set up in the parking lot across the street--super convenient, and no need to leave your car! There were four cars ahead of me, but the line moved quickly. I waited just five minutes before placing my order, and only three minutes later, all four drinks were handed to me in a carrying tray. Convenient drive thru location. Service was pretty quick considering there was one person making drinks and one runner taking down orders and bringing the drinks to the cars. Their menu is quite large so I didn't know what to get. I tried the Coconut Grove which was one of their specials. At first you can taste the coconut flavor but then it had a weird burnt aftertaste to it that I did not like. My husband ordered an Iced Mac Nut Latte and his drink was good. My sisters were visiting from Alaska and this coffee shop was in her "Coffee Shops To Try" list. We stopped by on a Thursday afternoon and it was pretty busy but the line moved fast. The girl taking our order was very nice and friendly! It was our first time so she took the time to let us know their drink specials despite the line behind us. I went with the Cinnamon Roll Latte and it was delicious! My sister got the BBL (Banana Bread Latte) and it was perfect I almost wanted to switch drinks with her my other sister got an Italian soda and my husband got one of their energy drinks. Been wanting to come back to Holoholo after trying matcha at the Kailua location. This location is a drive thru, so I did have to wait in line, but did like not having to get out of my car. I got in line around 11:30am. There were maybe 6-7 cars in front of me, but I didn't mind. The workers were super friendly, as well. I ordered the Ku Kane & the Lilikoi tea.
