Z Asian closed, so we were forced to find something quick ... This shack with a long name - LA Boiling Seafood Crab & Crawfish - fed us, thank you. Good service and tasty boils. The oil made them extra yummy. In and out in less than an hour.

Definitely a hole in a wall restaurant on Colonial, but definitely a good place to come to! Service was quick and the people working here are really friendly. I know everyone goes for the various Seafood Boils, but don't overlook the Po Boy Sandwiches if you are in the mood for something different. I got the Flounder Po Boy and it was delicious! Nice and crispy on the outside while moist on the inside, signs of a perfectly cooked piece of fish. They also had just the right amount of seasoning on the exterior, with a good balance of salt and spice. Definitely check this place out if you get a chance and you are in the area! :)

This is our favorite place to get seafood boil in Orlando! We've been dining here for years - it's truly the definition of a hole in the wall as you might easily miss it when in the Mills/Colonial 50 food district. Parking is typical of restaurants in this area, but there are many options and if you have to park farther away you can quickly walk! The food is usually fresh, hot, and yummy! This most recent time was a little lacking in flavor compared to previous visits but the shrimp was high quality, easy to peel, truly "jumbo" sized, and fresh. We were served quickly and were provided with the usual gloves and bibs. Highly recommend for price, quality, taste, and service!

Small, seemingly family run business. Service was okay at first, but she warmed up to us as the meal went on. Food was good as we were looking for a low country boil (something many in our party had never experienced), and this was as close as we could find on Yelp. There were six of us, but three of us shared the low country boil. We ordered one for two, and one for one. Honestly, there wasn't a whole lot of difference (aside from the crab) between the two. Beers were cold, food was good, it hit the spot!

Order takeout today and it was so delicious! I am very particular about my seafood and crab legs for sure and they hit the nail on the head! They were packaged well for travel and by the time I got home they were still very warm! I just tried a pound and a half of snow crab legs (mild) with potatoes and the flavor and seasonings were on point!!! Definitely something I'd order again but possibly with other seafood too! Customer service when I walked in was great. They were very warm and friendly and my food was ready to go as soon as I got there. I will definitely be returning!

Great service paired with great prices, this is my new favorite casual hang. You don't find restaurants like this anymore it's almost nostalgic.

Went here for my husbands birthday, all he wanted was snow crab and he said it was some of the BEST he's had in Orlando. We got cajun and garlic butter medium heat and it was sooo good with the rice (must have)! One order was 1.5 lb snow crab legs with corn and potatoes, one is .5 snow crab with deveined shrimp. They do not skimp here, it was filling and delicious. Service was quick too.

I took a rather large party to the restaurant. The tables were in place and ready. Felicia, our waitress, handled the group with professionalism . The rue of the gumbo was delicious & Chinese beer was good, like an IPA.

OK, let me start off by saying a 5 star review must be earned, I don't easily give them away. That said here is one of those rare occasions. The stars are for the absolute best steamed crabs I ever eaten. Now mind you I've eaten and cooked a many of crabs in my day from all across the east coast. These jumbo crabs were cooked to perfection and so flavorful from the garlic butter sauce they were prepared in. Also gotta give kudos to the side order of wings that were crispy yet moist to the bite. Don't expect decor, ambiance or a romantic setting this place is all about the seafood.

This place is never a disappointment. Everything is always so good including the BREAD. You can never go wrong with any of the flavors for the seafood seasoning.

Our other seafood boil place had stopped serving lunch so we decided to try LA Boiling Seafood for lunch. To be fair, we came in through the back door, but the stench of old raw seafood was overwhelming. This place is pretty small, the decor is just okay and the restaurant is non-descript. The food however was very tasty and service fast. We tried several different meals, including the shrimp boil, crawfish boil, crab legs (varying sauces and spice levels), and the fried shrimp basket, all very delicious and portions were large. All meals are served in disposable containers with plastic silverware. Service was fast and the seafood was cooked perfectly. I would definite return, but by the front door this time.

I love blue crabs and this is one of the few places I can find them. When they have them they are always a great size. I usually order the 6 blue crabs or the fried 3 blue crabs. Always large or xl and they rarely disappoint. I'm from a beach town so the price isn't exactly great but the size makes it worthwhile for me. The seasoning is pretty good as well. Definitely not what I'm used to but I like that it's a different flavor. I've had wings from here before as well and they're pretty good too! The beignets are a great palette cleanser because the garlic is there. Glad I found this place when I'm missing home and it's a great central location.

Mood lighting, great artwork on the walls, and poppin' music. During our stay, the music might have actually been a little too poppin'. We had to really approach shouting to be able to have a conversation with each other. Service was good. We had a very nice server who took good care of us. They were out of a few food and drink items, but that might have been our bad. Our visit Was only two days after Mardi Gras. So, no points deducted, just be wary of maybe holding off coming here until they can replenish from Mardi Gras. As for the food, I started off with the Cajun Dip (spinach, cheddar, monterey Jack, brie, mozzarella, garlic bread, tri-color chips). Nice little dip. A good mixture of spinach earthiness and cheese, not too salty. Chips were good and crunchy, could have had more of that awesome bread. But overall a very nice app. As for my entree, I think I had a nice jambalaya. I can't find it on the menu right this moment, but I'm pretty sure that's what it was. It was really nice. Well-cooked rice, well-seasoned, and a good amount of shrimp hidden inside that tight mold. Very good presentation. Very nice dish. Overall, it was a good time with people people and good food! This place is right by my work, I've already been a few times, and I reckon I'll keep on coming back.

Our server Brett was amazing and made the whole experience even better. We started with the gator bites, and for the main dishes we had the shrimp & andouille cheese grits and a po' boy sandwich with slow-cooked red beans and rice. The mains were absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and seasoned perfectly. For dessert we had the beignets, and they were sweet, flaky, and full of flavor. The perfect ending to the meal. To drink we had the Hurricane and the Hemingway. The drinks were definitely strong, but absolutely worth it. The music, atmosphere, and overall energy really reminded me of New Orleans culture. Their hurricane is strong and authentic. Jazz music flows through the restaurant and everywhere you look has color, glitz and glam! You haven't had shrimp and grits til you've had them as grit cakes, get the shrimp and grit cake: Monica style, if you don't like spice, maybe don't get it but it's delicious otherwise. The combination of the crunchy fried exterior and the creamy grits inside is such a yummy experience. Lastly, you have to get beignets and an espresso martini. As a beignet obsessed person, it pains me to say that their bread pudding is the superior dessert. I'm not a HUGE fan of the croissant flaky style of beignet that's become the norm for most places, but that's what they have here. I'd much prefer the classic beignet with the pocket of air in the middle. But otherwise they're still amazing and the espresso martini is delicious. Sarah B was an efficient and friendly waitress! If you need a NOLA fix, this is the place to go! Laissez les bon temps rouler!

The décor is pretty good and a reminder of what you would see in some new age vampire movie. I started off with the Black Magic Lemonade that I have to say was very tasty. I think for the most part any drink you order will be pretty good. From what I see the mixologist are on a bit higher level than the average ones you encounter at most bars. It was the highlight of the entire meal along with the great service from the waitress. Now to the main part of the review covering the food. The website advertises that Voodoo Bayou is "where Southern charm meets bold Cajun flair in an atmosphere that's as lively and unforgettable as the cuisine itself. Known as the premier destination for authentic Southern-inspired dining, Voodoo Bayou offers an indulgent experience with every visit." Now is this marketing or just the actual truth. I went with the crawfish and shrimp etouffee. Overall, the etouffee itself was ok but the rice at times was crunchy. Usually when that happens the rice is not cooked in enough liquid and kept at high heat. The consistency was not there and with each bite it was like what I would get. I mixed the rice with the etouffee in the hopes of hydrating the rice a bit more, but it was just hope. My wife took one bite of the shrimp poboy she ordered and it was a no. Going back to the great service it was noticed as the waitress came over and noticed our reaction. We said nothing as she mentioned it looked like my spouse was not enjoying her meal. I told her my order was not bad but not the best. The oysters Rockefeller were a good appetizer and did I mention the drink. The manager came over and asked if she wanted something else and she declined. The meal was removed but I am going back to saying the kitchen could have been off. The booth that was right behind me had issues with their food. What got me is that it was an issue with a burger. A burger. Part of their meal was comped. The food was not reminiscent of Cajun. If I go into a place that says they have a "Cajun flair" and I ask if you serve boudin and the answer is, "What's that?" then I should have known at that point. If you know then you know. Anyplace claiming Cajun better have boudin. Living on the gulf coast and I am not talking of just my experience with food in New Orleans, but Breaux Bridge, St Martinville, New Iberia, and the whole Acadiana area of Louisiana the food at Voodoo Bayou was way off target. For many this could be their first taste in Cajun food and many think after this visit this is how it should be. Bless your heart. This is what results in many people thinking Taco bell is actual Mexican food. Service and the drink were great but overall, this is a one and done with a not so happy visit on my first visit.
