I picked up dinner from La Brasa Grill and ordered the Half Chicken Combo with cilantro rice, sweet plantains, and a side of black beans. Overall, I enjoyed the meal. The chicken was cooked really well with crispy, grilled skin on the outside while still staying juicy on the inside. It wasn't dry at all, and the char from the grill added a nice flavor. The cilantro rice was okay, but the sweet plantains were my favorite side. They were cooked just the way I like them: soft and lightly caramelized. A lot of places don't cook them long enough, so they end up firmer than I prefer. These were exactly how I like them. The black beans were fine, but nothing really stood out about them. The only thing I'd change is the price. For the size of the container, $4.00 felt a little high. I think a price somewhere between $2.50 and $3.00 would feel more in line with the portion. One thing I would definitely recommend is trying the sauces. I had both the garlic sauce and the cilantro sauce, and they added even more flavor to the chicken. If you're ordering here for the first time, I'd suggest getting both. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and would order it again. First time this restaurant, I was hungry and they weee the closest to me at the time. I was there right at 11am when they opened, they have a drive thru which was very convenient, there are lots of seating inside also. I ordered the quarter chicken dark meat with white rice and black beans. The chicken was nice and hot, fresh off the grill. It was also seasoned well. The rice and beans were also really good. This is my first time visiting La Brasa grill. My wife received a coupon in the mail for a buy one get one free offer, so we figured we'd give them a try. When we arrived the employee working the counter didn't speak English so she asked another associate to assist us with her order. Come to find out, the way the offer works is you have to buy two of the same meal and get two different sides which didn't really make sense, but we went with it anyways. My wife decided she wanted the New York strip meal with shrimp which I believe was a number 10, so we ordered two of those with two different sides. When our meals arrived (within 5-minutes) they came without the shrimp which was disappointing, when we looked at the receipt we realized they changed us for two #8 meals not number 10's and our order did not come with shrimp; regardless, the staff felt bad that there was a mistake with our order so they made us one side of shrimp as a compliment to our meal which was very nice. Overall the food was good, but some things could have been better. Our steaks had lots of grizzle on the larger end, the salad was very bland, and the vegetables were just typical crappy frozen veggies. If it wasn't for the BOGO offer I would be a bit more upset about the quality of the food when compared to the price I paid. I can get a much better meal at La Granga or Texas Roadhouse for the same price. Another thing I wasn't too crazy about is if you want to refill your soda you have to take it up to the counter and the staff will refill it for you. The restaurant and restrooms were clean and organized and staff were very friendly even though they had difficulty understanding us and there was a minor communication issue with our order. They were very apologetic and made up for the shrimp issue for one of our orders at no additional cost. I could see myself returning here again in the future but I would opt for a different dish and avoid the frozen vegetables and go for something made in-house if that's an item they offer. read more

We came here March 2025. I had a buy one get one free coupon on any meal. I picked number 10 which was grilled New York steak with shrimp for $18.99 but They brought the meals to the table they were just the steak without the shrimp. I guess there was some miscommunication at the register. I tried to explain to them but some of them don't speak English but in the end they ended up giving me one set of grilled shrimp and they did not change me. My two sides were plantains and steamed vegetables. The fried plantains were delicious soft and sweet. The vegetables however were horrible something you get out of a Save-A-Lot frozen vegetable bag with no seasoning. I pushed them to the side. My steak was pretty good. They cooked it medium rare there was grizzle around the side but no worries we took that home to dog and she enjoyed it with a bag of the tail. Scott got the same meal but he got a salad and sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries were excellent. The salad was good. Lettuce tomato and some house dressing nothing fancy. They didn't have the sauces on the table so I had to get up and ask for them. My favorite was the cilantro dressing. We ordered a drink for 99 cents, the drink machine is behind the counter so if you want more you have to ask. But they did give free refills. I think I'd come back here again and seafood bowl for $10. The Shrimp they gave us was very good and had perfect seasoning. This place is located in a shopping plaza with plenty of parking. I went to check out this place as it has recently opened in Sanford. I believe this is the first location in Central Florida as it is more common in South Florida. I really had a great experience eating here for the first time. This is a fast-casual Peruvian food restaurant. You can find rotisserie chicken, arroz chaufa, Peruvian ceviche, lomo saltado and more. There are also some items that are popular in other Latin American cultures. I ordered the 1/4 chicken with a side of white rice, maduros and a salad. My husband got the special arroz chaufa ( Peruvian Chinese rice) which had beef, chicken and shrimp. We also got a side of yuca fritas. You will order your food at the counter and someone will bring the food to your table. Also, they will pick it up after you are done. The service was great and the restaurant was clean. So I've always seen this place and decided to stop by and try it out. First encounter through drive thru was the employee didnt know english... I had asked what was in the house fried rice and it took a while for to answer.... so I opted for the shrimp fried rice and a side of sweet plantains. It was ALOT of food. It may seem a little pricey but the amount you receive is worth it. It did come with some sauces but none that really matched my liking. The plantains were good as well. The only odd thing was the tails were still on the shrimp which I found odd.... as I went to eat one and was welcomed with a weird taste and found that it was the tail still on the shrimp. I ordered the 1/4 chicken BOGO special on Uber Eats. The food was ready when I arrived to pick it up. Nice service from the cashier. The food was good. I like that the salad comes with a dressing that's really nice. Tostones are nice and crunchy, they remain crunchy even when they're not fresh. Chicken was small but juicy. 2 stars now because I couldn't even try the food but could change IF I even think about going to this place again. First the on hours here need updating. I thought they closed at 11p but turns out it was 10p although I got there at 9:35p. I waited at the drive thru speaker for 5 mins with no answer. And it looked like the person in front of me when I pulled up to the window seemed to be sitting there for a while too. No one stated they were closed or could've at least waved us off. I had to reverse the whole length of the drive thru and attempt to go inside only to hear an employee say they're closed. Mind you it wasn't even 10p yet. The service here is always awful. The cashier can hardly understand you. Last time I ordered my food tasted burnt. So I asked the cashier to make sure they didn't burn it. She just took items out of the order that could be burnt, which was not what I asked for. I don't come often because the lack of communication between the customer and the cashiers.
