Got my damn order wrong I asked for no damn onions and they put hella onions on my order

La Granja does me right every time I come here. I've dined in here four times now and every meal has been on point. Today I went with the half chicken which comes with white rice, black beans, and sweet plantains. The chicken was falling off the bone, tender, juicy, and hot. You get a lot of rice and beans too so you're not leaving hungry and the sweet plantains make a great little dessert at the end. On top of all that, I always try every side of salsa, hot sauce, and dressing they have, so I'm super stuffed; I couldn't have asked for a better meal. The staff are always friendly and efficient. I put my order in turned around to get my drink and 20 seconds later the pager was already ringing in my pocket. I didn't even have time to load up all my condiments and get a table before my food was ready, now that's crazy fast! The restaurant is well kept and they have lowered the overall volume of the music in the dining room which I appreciate. I just can't believe this place isn't busier on a Saturday at dinner time. Even with great reviews this isn't a good sign; regardless, I will continue coming back to support them when I keep getting great meals like these at this affordable price point. We came here for a late lunch January 2024. This was our first time and it was excellent. I got the chicken and my husband got the churrasco steak with chimichurri sauce. So good! The chicken was cooked to perfection very tender and full of flavor. I had the sweet potato fries that were delicious fried bananas sweet and yummy. Scott got the garlic potatoes and a side salad. I love that they had six different sauces. Each one having a unique flavor. Restaurant was nice and clean and the owners were very kind and happy. Prices are reasonable. Really enjoyed this place for lunch. I ordered for pick up on Uber eats. Food was ready within 5 minutes. When I got home I open the tray to see a really good portion size for a lunch entree. It was the 1/4 chicken special for $11. I felt that the portion was large and the food was very fresh. Chicken was nice and juicy with well seasoned skin. Tostones were large and not greasy, salad was basic, iceberg lettuce, tomato, pickled onion. The onion sauces are really good too. I have always have a love and hate relationship with La Granja. I have only visited other locations a couple of times but I decided to give this new Sanford location a try. La Granja is a fast casual restaurant serving Peruvian food with a few twists. By this I mean they have added some items to the menu which are not typical Peruvian food side dishes. For example beans, maduros, plantains etc. We ordered the 1/4 rotisserie chicken that comes with rice and beans and lomo saltado ( Peruvian style beef stir fry) . The food overall was good and the sauces to complement the dishes were good too. My favorite was the garlic sauce. We also ordered Inca Kola which is Peru's most popular soda. This was my favorite growing up so it is always part of any Peruvian meal when I go out. The service was good, the staff was friendly and even the manager was going around checking on people's food and making sure all was good. That's a nice touch specially if they just opened the new location. While I'll pick another more traditional Peruvian restaurant I think La Granja is a good choice for a quick meal without spending a lot of money. Plus portions are big. read more

I was skeptical, I had driven past this place many times and it wasn't till today that I ate here. And honestly, I wish I had known sooner - the prices are very reasonable and the portions are large. The flavorrrr - the flavor of my entire plate was perfection. My chicken was moist and I'm picky with chicken. The food after we ordered came out quick. I would say max 10-12 minutes. The manager even came by our table to ask how our food was which was a surprise to me and was not expecting that. When we got there to order the lady behind the counter was very friendly & helped describe some of their dishes. Our food came out fast & hot. As for ambiance it's a casual atmosphere since you order at the counter & pick up when your order is ready. After you're done eating & leave your trays & whatever on the table & they will clean up after you.
