We stopped in here one night as we hadn't made dinner, and were out running errands most of the afternoon, it was a last minute call to come on here. The restaurant was empty when we arrived. Since it was our first time, we needed a moment to look over the menu, as we stood in line, we were asked 3 times if we knew what we wanted. Of course, I didn't, but then started to feel rushed and had to just pick something. (The staff here seemed annoyed to be working.) We both ordered and then sat, waited about 10 min before the food was ready. The food came out, and everything looked ok. The steak and shrimp option I had was good, steak was seasoned well, and looked how I liked it. The boneless chicken Jason has was so bland, and dried out he didn't even finish it. The chicken was very thin, which I felt was the reason it was dry, unfortunately he hated everything lol. I stopped by to pick up some food to go since I wasn't feeling well and didn't have the energy to cook. I ordered the steak lomo saltado, which comes with two sides--I chose white rice and French fries. Unfortunately, when I got home, I realized the fries were missing and had been replaced with corn without any notice or explanation. On top of that, for the price of the meal, I expected a more generous portion of steak. The serving was so small that it was barely enough for my child, let alone enough to share. You order at the counter. The smells emanating from the kitchen were so delicious, it took a minute to figure out what we should get. Decided on a family meal of a whole rotisserie chicken, fried rice, garlic potatoes, and of course fried plantains. Food was ready in no time and we took out to go order home. You have to wait for extended periods ... as they claim food is cooked to order but when you receive your order after waiting 25 to 30 min....the order is WRONG... why is it wrong??? ... ill tell you why because NO ONE in the restaurant speaks English and half of the time they have no idea what you are saying. So bad that they CHARGED MY CARD TWICE... and then when they realized the mistake GAVE ATTITUDE about that. I had to leave my home to return to the location to get my missing items and try to discuss the refund of the double charge. I say fast food lightly because most Peruvian spots are only dining service but here you order at the counter and bring it yourself to the table. I come here once or twice a month to purchase the family meal at a good price of about $26. The chicken seasoning is so FLAVORFUL and JUICY. La Granja is another similar restaurant but the chickens here at La Brasa is comparably a lot more flavorful and juicy. We order the Rotisserie Chicken family meal with white rice and black beans (although there are other options including salad). And it's filling for 4 people to be able to share. 4 stars for the chicken alone that makes it a great meal - the sides are nothing special. We have gotten fried yuca here before and they were stale so I would not recommend. They have some house sauces and their orange sauce is very delicious! I dip my chicken in it! We usually do pickup order and items are nicely packaged. They have an app to make ordering quick! Find it on the App Store. As for dine in, perhaps it's because we've been through the pandemic but only once did I see a diner inside. When you are in a rush and have no time to cook dinner, I would highly recommend this location. I sometimes will get a steak rice and black beans and split it with my son. He's a light eater. I can't believe this place isn't rated higher. The menu is expansive, the food is hot and fresh, and the service is so friendly. The manager, Jason, welcomes us personally as if we were family members and we've only been there like 4 times. He checks on us, brings out special sauces and once even a dessert just because. All the girls who work at the counter are friendly and smiley- no attitude at all. They always have a ton of to go orders packed up and waiting for delivery drivers, so efficient. Another thing about La Brasa is their chicken is marinated so well that the flavor is out of this world and the food is always fresh and never seems like it's been sitting around waiting for a customer to order it. The 1/2 chicken had NO FLAVOR whatsoever, the yuca was clearly a frozen product that they reheated (and failed at as it was ice cold when I got it) and the mixed veggies were devoid of flavor as well. The side salad was more like a sad salad, a sliver or two of onion and a tomato. Hardly worth the money they charged. Super disappointed in everything. Second time there and the food was still good. First time we dined in, it's like a fast food restaurant inside. Second time, we ordered at the drive through. I like their quarter chicken breast, cilantro rice, and tostones. I've also had the beans which was standard and good. I love their sauce station, so many sauces to choose from. I'm a saucy girl so I drench my food with the sauces. I like that they load you up with sauces even when you order from the drive through. This is a good option for when you don't feel like cooking and you want a fairly healthy meal. The rotisserie chicken is definitely on point! The service was good and the food is even better. The chicken noodle soup is around $5 for a large container. Lots of veggies, potatoes, seasoning and chicken breast. I also have tried the green cilantro rice. You can get 1/4 chicken rice and beans with one side for around $8. If you're taking your food to-go, because the staff close the box and bag it, they let you see your food to confirm you are satisfied with your order. The empanadas are pricey and in my opinion aren't the greatest menu item. Small in size. Good thing about their empanadas is that they bake instead of frying. In the spirit of trying new things while we are on vacation in Florida we decided to get dinner on Jan 7th at la brasa. My wife had the pollo saltado and I had the grilled pork chops. Everything was delicious. It did take the food a while to come out of the kitchen but it was freshly prepared, so no argument there. I would've given 5 stars but the guy that answered the phone didn't know what kind of dressing was put on the garden salad forgive me but you should know what dressings you have available but maybe I'm crazy... not! I'm a regular here. Their beef stir fry is excellent and I always get it for my wife. I like to eat light so I always get a steak wrap. But the quality of the steak is always bad so I thought I'd try the chicken wrap instead. They sell 1/4 and 1/2 chicken and I expected the same kind of meat. But surprise! However the chicken was dry. Steak was dry. Utterly unseasoned. The only saving grace was an empanada. White sauce was the only thing that actually made the food edible. La brasa has overthrow La Granja! The chicken is so juicy, the seasoning on the chicken is amazing, so much more flavor. The rice and beans are as good as it gets. It has more sauces available for the chicken and fries. The restaurant ambience is clean and organized. The staff is really friendly and it doesnt feel like a corporate standard, but a family one. They also have plenty of desserts! We had the dulce de leche with condensed milk! Out of this world. Bathrooms are clean and filled. The food is really good as well, it has a variety of peruvian food and it also have plenty of national drinks. I will definitely be coming back to this location! They also have a fast drive-thru. My family and I eat here roughly 2-3 times a week. For the past 3 weeks we have had different experiences through the drive-thru and tonight was the final straw. You will be losing a customer who spends roughly $380-$420 monthly over sauce quantity even when we are willing to pay for the extra sauce. First week in this three week period we were give 5 white, 3 green, and 2 red sauce with no issues for our meals, second week we were told in order to get the sauce we had to pay for each sauce which we did, and now tonight when we asked for the sauce your window person said in order for us to get the amount of sauce needed we were not able to pay for the additional sauce needed and we would have to pay for an additional meal since it is 2 sauce per meal which would not have even gotten us the total sauce needed. I find this to be absolutely ridiculous as the sauce container are not enough sauce to begin with and also the fact we were willing to pay for the extra sauce.
