We changed our mind and decided we'd like to eat at the restaurants but the staff wouldn't allow us. They said if you order over there phone you can not eat in the restaurant because it's already packed. When we asked for a manager they told us the manager was unavailable, I offered to leave my number so they could call me but the girl wouldn't take my number. The pollo saltado combo, which comes with rice and beans, is just as delicious. The chicken is pan-seared, then stir-fried with tomatoes, onions, and fries. The chunks of chicken are packed with flavor from the sauce and the searing, and the beans are a great texture, which I would place on a spectrum between refried beans and black beans right in the middle - not completely mushy, but mashed enough that individual beans have lost their shape. At $8, it definitely costs more than the rotisserie chicken, but it's a huge portion and definitely worth it. Besides, $8 for a solid meal is still inexpensive. Despite the fact that you might be fit to burst with the chicken and the rice, don't forget the sweet fried plantains and the salchipapas. Chicken was good, but the problem started when they took my initial order wrong for one of the items. I get home to see I had maduros instead of tostones. Then they are rude and not much customer service by blaming me that it's what I ordered. No, because I repeated and specifically asked questions about the tostones when I ordered it. They wanted me to bring back the maduros to get tostones. They agreed to deliver it, but wanted the maduros back. WARNING: why do you want food back? Beware you are not getting someone else's returned food!! Never have I had a restaurant want food back for the correct food. Then I get the tostones and they tasted NASTY!! Pale, Dry, and flavorless! Obnoxious workers. Dry as the Sahara desert fried rice and sides. Thats why they give you sauce with the food whether you ask for it or not. The chicken is decent though. Look at the other reviews. This complaint is not new. I am not just a disgruntled complainer (although I am). The workers (and owners) just don't care because people keep going there. I won't go back because they act like common courtesy and customer service is against their policy. I had to lean over the counter and get my own plastic knives and forks (yes its a classy joint, make a reservation). Why did I have to do that? As soon as they put the bag down on the counter with my food in it, they were on to the next hand full of cash and couldn't be bothered to finish with me first. Oh and yes, it is a cash only place, no credit cards here (they don't want to pay Uncle Sam his share). I say this about every cash only place. Credit card fees can be passed on to customers in the price but credit card records mean transactions are reported to the government. They can't hide from that so they would rather not accept credit cards. Don't let them tell you its because it costs them too much. Anyway, if I have to choose between this place and the other 4 restaurants in the area with rotisserie chicken, I will choose one of the other 4 every time going forward. read more

This place right here is the bomb! Their chicken is super flavorful, love their ribs and fried rice. You Ave to order the robs early cause they sell out most of the time. I always order a whole chicken 3 to 5 pieces of ribs french fries and a small order of fried rice to take out his seats anywhere from 3 to 4 people... love it. The rotisserie chicken here ROCKS as well as the delicious sauce they serve with it. Not to mention the fried yucca. No question, an excellent spot for take out. I did veer from the chicken to try the tripe a few weeks ago and was very disappointed...not much flavor and it was sitting on top of french fries which were soggy because of all the liquid from the dish. The food taste and quality went substantially down in this place. I ordered the Lomo Saltado and the steak was mushy, oily and just terrible. I asked the waitress for half a chicken instead and was told i would have to pay for the steak anyway. I only took one bite and found this policy ridiculous. I guess a place with surveillance cameras over the counters need every penny they can get. The roasted chicken here is the best in the neighborhood! I come here to pick up a whole chicken for dinner and soups since we don't have any grocery stores that offer them around here. It's really clean inside too, but I don't like many of the basic menu items from here. Rice is always greasy and the beans always taste like dishwater?! The rotisserie chicken here is awesome. It comes with this green sauce on the side that I wish I knew how to make because I would drink it instead of water lol. I have missed classic Peruvian chicken. For like $10, I got excellent coffee and a large portion of chicken and rice. My favorite part was the yellow sauce.
