It used to be a good bagel. Now it's not worth it. I don't know what they changed, but now it's closer to Dunkin' Donuts or Starbucks, which lacks the handmade quality and chewy bubble distribution of a truly handmade dough. A bit sad because they were a reliable Local NYC Bagel at LGA before taking off. To add to my sad, the electronic kiosk for self-ordering did not have an option to request an iced coffee or even an iced tea without forcing a choice to add milk, and the screen is so big you're typing your personal name or phone number for your order at a size and view everyone in line can see it, which felt like an invasion of privacy. I'm sure this was some investor's brilliant idea to streamline things but it now makes Zaro feel like another corporate entity that lacks uniqueness, attention to detail, and is starting to distance human connection and consideration from the product and experience. read more

Of course I had to get a dozen bagels to take with me on my recent flight to Florida because where my parent's house is you can't get good bagels. All they have is Publix which can't compare at all. When I saw this Zaro's location in Terminal B it was a no brainer. Bagels were surprisingly fresh and tasty even after the flight and travel time. Friendly and fast counter service. If you're looking for quick , fast, service this is the place to go. Fast service is something always needed in the airport and they provide just that. It is a walk up and order establishment and you wait for your name to be called for pickup. I needed a quick pick me up so I opted for a raisin bagel (my favorite), it was a huge , fresh, and toasted to perfection. Excellent and fast service!! The line at Dunkin was wrapped around the store so I decided to try this spot. Short line and fast service. Prices are a little steep, but it's expected at the airport. Ordered a medium iced vanilla latte and a cinnamon raisin bagel with plain schmear. The vanilla latte was pretty good! Not too sweet but just sweet enough. The bagel, toasted was really good! I have always been a fan of zaros family bakery as the sweets especially the black and white cookies and sliced rye bread are my favorite. Took a chance at this zaros at the airport as we all know the airport can be bad for food joints but I was surprised as this one had a good selection of fresh sweets and prices are ok and big bonus the black and white cookie was fresh and the bread was also fresh and warm . I have been getting these bagels for years! Always good and super consistent. The scallion cream cheese is top notch and they don't skimp on it! I hate when I get a bagel with only a little dollop. For an airport bakery, it's not bad. The bagels are fresh and service is quick. I had an afternoon flight and Zaro's made my everything bagel with veggie cream cheese quickly. My ice coffee came out before the bagel. I made my way to the terminal and had time to spare. It's an airport cafe so the vibe is fast paced. They don't have vegan cream cheese for bagels. I hope this will change in the future. Business sales would likely increase. Overall, the food is good and service is quick. Everything is clean and sanitary (from what I could see). July 10, 2024 - I actually had this last year, but I did something so stupid and put it in my bag and left it in the overhead compartment the entire flight back to Toronto. They are a big name in the city so I expected to see them in the airport. In terminal 2 they are located near the other local restaurants. The prices here however are much more than in the city. $5 for a cookie is a lot. I ordered an avocado chicken sandwich with a cold brew. I was pleasantly surprised with how good the meal was. The chicken was tasty and flavorful. The coffee was bold and strong. Normally I don't expect much from airport restaurants but this one did the trick. I wouldn't say it is as good as other locations in the city but if you are looking for a quick meal you should stop here. read more

When it was my turn to order, I wasn't entirely sure which flavor to pick. To be considerate, I let the person behind me go first and took a small step aside to get a better view of the food display. Once they finished ordering, I stepped back to the counter, ready to place mine. Before I could even speak, the cashier immediately questioned whether I was cutting the line, using a condescending tone that felt both dismissive and humiliating. I was genuinely shocked--rarely have I been treated that poorly in a place of business. No matter how good the food is, no one should have to deal with that kind of disrespect. I really want to give you zero stars! I was there yesterday 11/16 before noon. I ordered a sesame bagel with cream cheese and a cup of coffee. About $10 at the airport is about right. But!!! The bagel was stale, probably from the previous day. And it had no taste. I felt like I was eating straw. You should learn how to make good bagels from places like Brod Nosh Bagels, or Hudson Bagels in Manhattan. read more
