This is more of a 3 1/2 not 3. I liked the price for gel nails with a design $25, not bad when I've spent so much more. The ladies seemed friendly enough. One gave me to another lady when her regular client walked in the door, but she offered me a water bottle and on a hot day, that was greatly appreciated. The lady that took over my gel manicure commented on my "picked at" cuticles and short nail bed, what can I say, I have small hands. The nail design on my right hand is crooked and towards the end when their "regulars" started pouring in, my manicure was rushed for their more lucrative clientele. The color I showed them in the photo I had on my phone was not yhe color i ended up with, but that's fine because my end result matches fine. It's ok, this was my first time and I will possibly try it again, unless I find someplace better. Overall the experience wasn't bad, maybe they do only deserve a 3. I also failed to mention she cut my pinky and I started bleeding, what can I say, I'm a bleeder. read more

I was looking for a new place to get my nails done since my last one was getting a bit pricy, so I decided to try this place out because of the awesome yelp reviews & I was not disappointed! They just gained a new regular for sure. I was a bit skeptical at first when I arrived by the outside look, but the inside was very clean & they are also expanding into the place next door which is cool. The staff is super friendly and I fell in love quickly. They care about providing you the best service and take the time to learn your names & talk to you. They were adorable and beyond awesome. My nails came out perfect! They really took their time and their work showed that, the job was great! The girls who were helping me out were Jennifer & Tiffany I believe, so I would defiantly recommend them. But all of the girls were super friendly so I feel like you would be in good hands with any of them, including justin who came up & introduced himself and made sure I was having a good experience. Generation Nails is the best nail salon in the area! Ive tried other places but it just doesn't compare! I have been coming here for many years and always have a great experience. Justin and Jennifer take great care of you when you come in to get a mani/pedi. They recently just expanded the salon and have made the salon bigger and better. The remodel looks great! The prices are affordable and the service is great! I always get the spa gel manicure and they have many great colors to choose from. Also, they are great at nail art and designs, especially around the holidays! The spa pedicure comes with a foot scrub, massage, and is finished with a massage tool. I feel like it's maybe more like 2.5 stars, but I guess 3 will be fine because they're all very nice there! They're quite expensive though! For a gel manicure and a regular pedicure, it was $70!! My gel manicure wasn't as nice as I had hoped for the price (they chipped after two days!) and the pedicure was my grandmas and they had bumped her toe with her shoe and didn't say anything and didn't fix it so needless to say, I won't be back just because there are so many other places to go to. I went to get a pedicure in July 2015. When I arrived there were a few customers there, but I didn't have to wait at all. The salon was very clean, and I was happy to see some tools soaking in barbacide. Michelle was the woman who did my nails. She did an AMAZING job. Seriously the best pedicure I've had in at least a year. Plus, the price was fantastic...I think it was $27 including the callus scrub. I will definitely go back. read more

This place is by far one of the worst salons. It's dirty and they do a terrible job with everything. The women who waxed me was so rough and she over plucked my eyebrows so bad. I was devastated. I looked terrible. The nails job was another story. It was sloppy and the gel started lifting after one week. Never again will I go here. I requested a pedicure w/ a particular manicurist. I'm there 5 minutes until the woman I requested says abruptly I have somebody. The lady at the front says you can come back at 2:30. I tell her I'll take someone else then she tells me after sitting a while that the other manicurist is busy you come back later. Here we go again businesses in a predominately African American neighborhood being rude. I don't care how many black customers you have your manicurist was rude and the other manicurist acted as though he didn't want to do my pedicure. I'll gladly give my money to someone else. I LOVE Generation Nails! This gem of a nail salon is really the best place that I have ever been to, and I have been to a million nail salons!!!! The owners and nail technicians are SO sweet, and take their time when doing your manicures and pedicures. They give the best foot massages, and my nails always look perfect when they are done. Their gel manicures LAST at least 2 weeks! They just remodeled this location, so they have extra chairs and space, making it easier to get a seat. I would recommend making an appointment because they are popular, but they do take walk-ins if you decide to get your nails done at the last minute. I've been going to generation for 7 years, In between occasionally I'd visit different nail salons my friends have been to but was never satisfied as much as I would be here at generation.. They can do anything from amazing designs to just regular colors.. I have NEVER been disappointed in they're service or what they've done for me, I've gotten just about anything you could think of from acrylics to my eyebrows being done.. they're super friendly and always personalize people's visits.. they know my sisters my mom and even my ex boyfriend. (lol) they get to know everyones name and make them feel welcomed. Every person I've recommended generation to has loved it just as much as I do, they always try and take you as fast as they can and since they remodeled recently they have more chairs and are able to take even MORE people which is so awesome. Very nice people here! They have a plethora of colors and the prices are listed on the wall so there's no guessing game. I didn't catch the name of the lady that did my manicure, but she was quick, yet very thorough. I'm pretty shy, so it was nice to not feel too awkward when I can't even manage small talk. When she painted the nails she was very meticulous and left no bumps in her job. Other places I've gone to have left them so bumpy, this is the first set of gel that I've had done that look pretty smooth when you look at them on the side. Worst experience I have ever had! I was in the area and stopped in to get a fill and was disappointed. My nails weren't competely covered and the acrylic was so thick! I was unhappy so the owners told me to come back the next day and get a new set on the house. I went back the next day and the lady who owns the shop refused to soak my acrylics off... she ripped them off of me and made my nails bleed. She was rude and upset when my friend who came with me refused to let her do her nails. I am NEVER going back! read more

The salon is clean and the manicurists are friendly. They do a good massage here and time it so you know you are getting the same service every time. I really love Generation nails! I used to get my nails done here about almost a year ago. I recently had a set of acrylics put back on at Apple Nail, but they didnt last at all and were poor quality. I found out Generation Nail moved to La Habra so went there to get them filled and they had to take the old set off it was so poor of quality. They were super excited to see me! They remembered me from a year ago! So nice too. All the equipment is brand new. These people are absolutely horrible. I went with my friend and we both ended up with cut cuticles (bleeding) and our fingers burned from something they put on it. They continue to burn even now. I would really love to see if they're workers even have cosmetic liscence a because I didn't recognize half their doings to my nails. I've been to several nail salons before and this has been my all time worst experience. I know they just opened recently and I will be overjoyed to find out when they close for good. read more

I've been coming here for 2 years now after a co-worker recommended it, and every time I go, I get the same great experience. The price is already a great catch (spa pedi starting at $15), but the best part of this place is their service. I've had a pedicure done by almost everyone at this salon and their work is always consistent. It's clean, sterile, and each staff is hard working. I've been to countless nail salons over the past 10 years but this place definitely takes the cake. It makes me feel comfortable knowing that each staff is happy working here, and you can tell by their work and customer service. I've only had to wait more than 10 minutes to get seated once, and that was on a busy Saturday before a major holiday. Otherwise, I usually go after work on a weekday and there seems to be just one spa chair waiting for me :) They are open seven days a week and I've seen them keep the store open past closing time to accomodate customers' schedules. Worst nail experience ever!!!! New to getting my nails done in Fullerton and chose Generation Nail based on reviews- wow! What a nightmare! I have never written a bad review on yelp but this place deserves it. To start they take over an hour and twenty minutes to do gel- it took 3 coats of just the color not the other steps of the process to make it not look watery- that's how cheap the color was! As a result of the 3 coats of paint the paint looks lumpy and awkward. The nails were so poorly done- paint all over the cuticles. It was so bad my co worker commented on how bad it looked- very embarrassing. I was unhappy with the whole experience but I didn't want I say anything because the woman who did my nails was nice although Terrible at gel. I called and asked to speak to the manager and the evil man who works there hung up on me. I called back just hoping they would accommodate me and try and fix it he could care less I was a disatisfied customer and rushed me off the phone again. It was the worst nail experience of my life- do not go here if you are looking for quality!!! read more
