Such a great little shop! Service is always friendly and fast. I love the bread, my kids love the pizza and my husband loves the cannolis.

It was a Friday morning in October when my wife and I returned to Connecticut for a wedding. We had to wake up and go to Marshalls to grab a dress shirt when we noticed that Chimirri's Italian Pastry Shoppe was located a few spots away so we stopped by to grab some baked goods for both a sugary breakfast and a gift for some friends we were about to visit. This small bake shop reminds me of Connecticut so much because of all the delicious bake shops around and I was very happy to be able to order a big chocolate chip cookie and some sort of marble style cookie with chocolate to go with it. We also grabbed a bunch of random cookies in a box for our friends and they absolutely loved them (I may of snuck a few too). Both of my cookies were solid enough, though I have to admit that this Canadian isn't the biggest Italian cookie fan, they tend to be a little dry for me but both still tasted good. Overall, Chimirri's Italian Pastry Shoppe was a great stop and we enjoyed everything we ordered. Would I give it five stars if I could order a gooey chocolate chip cookie? Probably, but this might be the best cookie for you.

Delicious cookies. Not over powered with almond extract like I've had at other places. Variety of cookies and pastries to choose from.

Hartford cream pie was the best thing I had from here. It was not too sweet, but tasted really good. Cranberry orange square was a good plain simple cake I had. I also had a 3 scoop gelato - almond, hazelnut and pistachio. It was good. Arancini was ok.

We used Chimirri's for our wedding cake. Lorena was great to work with, they delivered the cake directly to our venue for us. The cake turned out exactly how we requested, even with two different flavors for the layers. The cake was delicious. I highly recommend Chimirri's for your wedding cake!

Chimirri's is an Italian bakery in the plaza shared by businesses such as Utsav and Bed, Bath and Beyond. Got the makings of a "pretty nice little Saturday" right there. #oldschool I occasionally stop there for cookies, bread, pastries, cold bakery pizza, dessert or their CT famous Hartford Cream Pie (see what they did there?). They do a good job. This week, I visited Chimirri's for a cheese Danish and a crusty sesame grinder roll. What the cheese Danish lacked in my favorite type of cheese filling, it made up for with uber-freshness and ample icing. The fresh grinder roll was a great vehicle for my home assembly of ham, cheese, local tomato, pickled peppers, basil and Italian dressing. Awesome bread like that can really take a sandwich next level. Check out Chimirri's for your Italian bakery needs. Four Stars.

WOW.. So, I found this place because I got my COVID vaccine down the street and wanted some dessert before (what I thought) the side effects of the shot kicked in. Lo and behold, no side effects, but that didn't stop me from eating a TON of desserts. My personal favorite was the cannoli. Delicious.

Great cookie selection that is perfect for the holiday season & beyond! We recently tried almond cookies made by a neighbor and went looking for them at Chimirri's do that we would not have to make them ourselves! Lol! Found them and they were fantastic at Chimirri's! Two kinds - Almond Cookie and Almond Mac (GF) - both are delicious! A nice crunchy exterior with soft interior. Yummm!!! I also got the raspberry pockets, apricot pockets, raspberry kiss, apricot kiss and chocolate lace cookie. What a selection! 2 lb box is $30. We got 2 dozen Almond cookies & Almond Mac for $18.50. All the cookies are super fresh! We will be back for more!

"And tastin' defeat, lovin' that sweet surrender" (Bread - Sweet Surrender) You might as well surrender now, because I don't care how strong your will power might be, it will be no match for the sweet things that will tempt you in Chimiri's . Cakes, cookies, pies, biscottis, cannolis, eclairs, pastry squares, danishes, turnovers, cupcakes, brownies, beautiful towering platters of cookies, and beautiful wedding cakes. Pricing is super reasonable too ! We bought a half pound of coconut chocolate cookies, a Nutella pastry square and a wedge of Hartford Cream Pie and barely cracked eleven bucks. That's a pretty good value for some top notch and top of the line fresh goodness. What a totally sweet place !

Italian Fruit Cake - my absolute favorite.

I have the same photo on my phone of all my birthday cakes through the years from Chimirri's. I request the same cake every year for my birthday and it HAS to be from Chimirri's (and each year I take a picture). The Italian Fruit Cake stuffed with whipped cream, fresh strawberries and peaches. TO DIE FOR! Countless cookie platters, cannolis, and desserts have filled our tables during holidays and special events. This is one of the only Italian bakeries my family trusts! Most recently we tried their cherry pie and it was wonderful! Didn't taste like your typical cherry pie and that's what I liked most about it! From looking at this little shop stuck inside Wethersfield Shopping Center, you wouldn't think much of it, but step inside and forever be changed!

I stopped in an hour before before closing time on a Sunday and, while the selection was less than usual, it still included enough delicious looking pastries that I had a difficult time making a choice. I finally settled on a pair of chocolate mousse that proved to be delicious. Also included in my order were 2 slices of Sicilian cheese pizza for lunch that were outstanding. Lastly, the employees have been uniformly friendly.

Stopped by this gem while running to UPS. Small local bakery in a big plaza, so if you blink you ll miss it. Tons of delicious looking breads, cakes, cookies and pies. I got two slices of pizza, a slice of cheesecake, and a red velvet cupcake all for $10 dollars! I really loved the bread on the pizzas, really flavorful and fluffy. The desserts were super rich, more on the custard side but not a problem for me. Overall, It's always great to support local small businesses and I'm happy I stopped by for lunch.

I popped in because the parking lot was mostly empty. It wasn't particularly busy in the cafe either. There were two small groups ahead of me in line. I order my food and black iced coffee to go. I received my food. It even had to be heated. And I had to wait 10 minutes for them to give me my black iced coffee. Even though there are only two or three people waiting in the drink area. And that was after I said something. So who knows how long it would have taken. This isn't because of lack of effort. The baristas were doing things. They're making lots of drinks. But it's not clear for whom. They finish the drinks and they don't call people's names. Maybe they're for to go orders? I understand that restaurants need to make choices about how they run things. All I can say is, that it's not a good experience to get all of your food and you have to wait for a black iced coffee (a drink that takes very minimal effort) for 10 minutes. Even though you're one of only a few people in the drink area. I'm not going to change my review score. But these experiences definitely affect how often I visit.

"She got muffins for sons, she got cornbread too Sweet rolls…read moreand jelly, boys I'm really tellin' you She had the baker shop boogie It's the nicest thing in town" (Willie Nix) We had a wonderful visit to Bake Market today and walked out with a ton of high-quality stuff for under $39 before tax. Our haul included a big tray of eggplant parmesan ($11.99), a small container of chicken salad ($7.99), a big container of Street Corn Salad ($11.99), a serving of Mango Pineapple Bread ($2.95) and Coconut Zucchini Bread ($2.95), and an Everything Biscuit (just $1.49). Bake Market has refrigerated and freezer cases on the walls with entrees and pastas and sauces and salads and desserts. It reminded me of the Pasta Vita store we used to visit in Avon. We split the chicken salad for lunch on Wednesday and enjoyed it very much, it was heavy on diced chicken and light enough on the diced celery and mayo that it was very hearty and not overrepresented by the rest. We decided to split the Everything Biscuit with lunch and I really liked the texture and savory taste of the everything spice. We split the Street Corn salad for Friday dinner, and it was a big portion of sliced Romaine, diced bacon, sliced radishes, roasted corn, tortilla strips, and grated Cotija cheese. It was very good; the lettuce was super fresh with plenty of bacon and corn. We split the Mango Pineapple Bread for dessert and that was excellent too. It was dense, sweet, full of flavor, and quite wonderful. The Coconut Zucchini Bread was so-so. I didn't think it had much of a flavor, and besides the blandness it was incredibly messy with shredded coconut everywhere. Our Bake Market sampling ended with their Eggplant Parmesan. It was a massive 2-lb tray that cost just $11.99. And how can I NOT mention that containers of fresh pasta AND sauce were included! We made four servings out of it. The eggplant parm was made out of a very thick single slab of breaded/fried unpeeled eggplant, and not the multiple layers of thin slices stacked up lasagna-style you customarily see. It had plenty of sauce and plenty of cheese, but how was the eggplant itself? I gotta tell you, when I saw that thick slab, my radar went up because I had a feeling it would be rubbery, tough, and unappetizing. But my doubts were short-lived after my first bite. It was delicious and tender and full of flavor without a hint of grease. Honestly, it was one of the best representations of eggplant I've had in a while. So, there you have it, a nearly perfect score on a variety of foods, and a very satisfactory $39 haul that scored high on quality and value.

Naturally, I sprinted here after seeing on social media they started selling the viral crookie…read more(cookie croissant) and it was SO worth it. I didn't know what to expect, but it was delicious -- the perfect mesh of flaky and doughy textures with the slight warmth was divine. I also saw they had pistachio matcha lattes so I decided to try one. It was surprisingly pretty tasty despite the color not being a very deep green. They also offer several samples, which I was excited about, but I was disappointed because they were all salty -- even the zucchini bread that I expected to be more neutral/sweet. The bagels were also very flat. Maybe their sweets just happen to be better?

And that adorableness comes in twenty flavor varieties - peanut butters, candies, fruits, cookies, and of course...chocolates. They cost between $1 and $1.20 each depending on the quantity you want. I bought a box of fifteen for $15. I had some time to kill before my appointment in Rocky Hill, so I also ordered a small coffee, lemon, and almond donut to enjoy on site. Now that's easier said than done because the store is small and only has a counter with two stools. Luckily, both were vacant so I settled in, drank their excellent freshly made coffee (small for $3.50) and savored my little donut treats. Indulge By Palazzo also specializes in coffees and protein shakes to help you wash down those donuts, and it looks like they are set up to sell ice cream in season.
