All I can saw is wowow. This definitely has to be the top bbq sandwich I've tried in California. I normally don't pick bbq sandwiches due to the heavy sauce. This sandwich was amazing. Full of tender meat that didn't need bbq sauce but was paired with a nice aioli dressing. The service was great and food came out quick. Restaurant was clean with a nice industrial feel to it. First timer! The store is kind of hidden in a plaza so make sure you check for the sign and not blindly follow GPS like I did lol. Love the exterior and interior design- super modern and industrial. Menu was also easy to understand and straightforward. They offer sandwiches (with meat choices of brisket, pulled pork, chicken), sides, and just meat option (sold by pound). Plenty of seatings and takeout order was really fast (10 mins?). Great service. I picked up the 405 and 101 sandwiches for to go- both with brisket and no mustard. The brisket was really tender and juicy and both sandwiches were really flavorful. The 101 and 405 were similar as both had the caramelized onions and the same bread (and brisket), but the 405 had mushrooms and arugula while the 101 had red cabbage and a different cheese. (Love the cleaver naming system lol). The sandwiches were good but definitely on the heavier and pricier side. I saw on their IG that they had other menu items at the Chinatown location so maybe I'll check out the other location next time. Overall, if you love meat, this is the place to go! read more

I was brought here for lunch. It's only my first time but I think I'll be back to explore more of the menu. I think the nod to local freeways is a clever touch. I ordered the 710, which is a brisket sandwich with barbecue sauce and fried onions. The first thing I noticed was the big chunks of brisket. The meat was slightly dry in some bites and still tender. Other bites with the sauce was more juicy. The sauce is tangy with a little kick. I really liked it. The fried onions were a bit more chewy, almost stale. Still the sandwich was very filling and I especially loved the bread. It has a nice crunch on the outside and soft inside. Service was friendly and also quick. Next time I'll try the 405. read more

The problem was never the food... it was the service and attitude from a particular employee, especially after fuqqn up our expensive orders. The nerve! Lol ...But back to the good stuff. This place has fully redeemed themselves with me. I still love the food! I've been about 4-5x this year and they've gotten my order correct each time, thankfully. I'm so happy about that in itself! Now the prices have gone up, but again, super good! I always get the brisket fries... I haven't tried anything else. Nor do I want to.... If it ain't broke don't fix it! It's edible but not worth it. I ordered this off of Uber Eats. It was so plain and the white rice tasted off. Almost as if the rice wasn't washed correctly. The brisket is okay. Tender but no flavor it had a flavor of as if someone used a butane torch to heat the meat up. I had a bit of green tomatillo salsa left over from my dinner last night and heated it up and added the brisket to it. To think I'd have to improve my lunch. I can scarf down a lot of food but this....I didn't even finish... sorry. But I probably won't be ordering from here again. That quality isn't worth the price. This was my first time eating here After seeing a post on Instagram. As soon as we walked in the line was extremely long and moving even slower. The workers in the kitchen were only wearing one glove on their hands and touching everything in the kitchen. They were using a plastic fork and spoon to grab the food from the serving stations. Which means the food was not made using the techniques of Safe-Serve!!! The cashier was this young adult name Gian A. His attitude was very nasty. I asked him did they take cash because there was a fake $100 bill on the plexiglass and it stated no bills over over $50. Ok so anyone would assume you could pay with cash. Not the case here!! Card only!! Which I didn't like that because my choice on how I wanted to pay was taken from me. He answered with a very nasty attitude and tone. So I placed my order because we had already waited more than 25 minutes in the line. I ordered two 710 sandwiches with the BBQ sauce on the side. I waited for my order for another 20 minutes or so only to have my bag placed on my lap and not in my hand and it was not made the way I asked for it to be made. I'm not sure I would ever come back to this place. I dont care how good the food is. The customer service alone made this place nasty. For a business to be established since 2015 you gotta do better. I got a salad with pulled chicken and a side of Brisket. Even though I would ask for the dressing on the side next time. Every bit of the salad was awesome. I love arugula, mushrooms the pepper just gave a good kick without being to spicy. The pull Chicken had a great bbq flavor, and I'm not talking about smothered in bbq sauce, I'm talking about a Smokey bbq flavor that just hit the spot. The brisket was a bit fatty but the meat was just great, Smokey and juicy. I would of ate the fat and all but I'm trying to cut out a lot bad stuff my diet. We were in Artesia on a rather hot day and was looking for something filling but still healthy. Found this place and decided to give it a try based on the reviews on yelp. SO worth the it and I'm sad there aren't any branches closer to us. Boyfriend ordered their tacos and I got their protein bowl with strawberry lemonades which tasted like real strawberries! I know. The food was good but had a couple of flaws. Let me start with the good things I liked about the place . We ordered Brisket tacos , loaded fries w/brisket , and the brisket bowl. Every single item was delicious and flavorful. The only down side in my opinion was the temperature of the food it wasn't as warm or hot as I'd like it to be didn't feel as fresh to my liking . Other than that the food was great ! They could do better with having cups for their lemonade I couldn't get lemonade because of that . Not a big deal but kind of a bummer . Also the place was really quite. Felt like I had to whisper to talk to my girlfriend for half of our stay at the restaurant there was no music it it was dead silent . First here's what I think they could improve: - Maybe serving corn bread with their "by the pound menu", although the bread they served wasn't the best I think corn bread as a default is what completes any rib or brisket experience. - Possibly serving honey with their bread to make the entire meal more savory. - While I was provided sauce, I don't think the little tub is enough for the entire 1/2 rack. They do give you more if you ask but it would be nice if it was already provided. What I loved about this place: - Their meat is a actually juicy and tender as advertised in their photos, especially in comparison to some other places. - Atmosphere is a 10/10. You smell the smoked meat when you walk in as well as the decor and lighting really match what they are serving, meaning it's a simple interior with dim lighting during the day.
