    Togo House fish n chips

Fast service, and great fish & chips. I got their house fish with shoestring fries and had a great time. The fish was crispy and satisfying, same to the fries. Their house tartar sauce is also delish. Will def stop by again.

Welcome to Artesia! The fish here is delicious, fresh, crispy, and affordable. On my first visit, I ordered the cod. It was so good that I came back the very next day and tried the Big Artesia, which I believe was flounder. Both were excellent. I prefer the shoestring fries over the steak fries, but it is nice that they offer both options. The parking lot is small and can get crowded, but the food is absolutely worth it. They also have shrimp on the menu that I still need to try, so I will definitely be back!

So its only a soft opening decided to try , first impression the wild caught fish small in size compared to there "Artesia" fish and for almost $20 i think the fries should be a little more ., it definitely had a small amount of fries for that price point but the fish was good and flaky it was seasoned well not greasy at all actually a lot of fish with just one bit just looked smaller thats all then there other fish they sell which is massive in size, overall im sure they are still testing until there true opening in August

Shrimp is tempura style frozen pre breaded, v ry little actual shrimp. Fish also seems pre breaded frozen uniformly pieces (wild cod) pretty disappointing for over 25$ to get something I could have made in the air fryer from the frozen food case.

First walked in because of a social media post ..walked out happy ;) their servings of the fish was huge and very tasty! This is our first spot in Artesia and so many residents ran to get it and they seemed very pleased! Nice small business and pretty much it's more of a take out. You could sit and face the wall, but it seems more for a waiting area. I just really love supporting small new business owners and blessed to meet the people who make it better for the community!

Wild cod with steak fries. So hot and fresh!

Finally a fish and chips close to me! Ordered the Wild cod fish with steak fries. Loved how you are given the option of fries. Food was so fresh and not soggy. Service was amazing. Owner was so nice. If you pay cash, you get 2% off. Definitely coming back. I saw on the flyer you can also order delivery. Might I suggest you don't. Food is best fresh out of the fryer. At least if you take it to go, you know when your food will make it to your home. Would definitely come again. Got a coupon for $5 off on grand opening Aug 2. Will for sure be coming back!

Food was great! I got the Artesia house fish n chips. The service is great, it is my first time trying this. I added a photo of my dish. Next time i will try the onion rings that was recommended to me by them.

Noticed this place while picking up some pizza. Tried it the next day and I was not disappointed. Shrimp was nice and crispy/crunchy on the outside and plump and juicy on the inside. Fish was also nicely crispy on the outside with just a bit of chewiness that makes biting into feel great. The inside was fluffy and tender/flaky and was cooked perfectly. Seasoning overall was balanced and nice, it wasn't too salty and didn't need any extra. The tartar sauce was very nicely made and I can't really describe it except to say it was among the best I've had. I used it to dip everything (except the fries). Shoestring fries were okay, they kind of look and taste like McDonald's fries but better quality. I'm waiting for them to cool down completely to see how it tastes cold. Wait for the food is what you would expect since it is a small place but I went when it was empty and waited about 5-7 minutes for my order. Staff was also friendly and gave extra sauce. Overall, great place! I'll be back for the grand opening and probably order the family meal.

    Wild cod and steak fries

I'm always looking for new spots to try and found this one. I got the wild cod and steak fries. The fish was cooked really well, it's crispy, and it doesn't fall apart. You get all the tartar sauce you can want as well as vinegar, lemon, and tabasco sauce. The guys there are cool, friendly dudes as well. It definitely filled the hole that the shutdown of H Salt in Downey left behind. The only thing to note is that it's really more of a takeout spot as there are only a few seats inside.

As a family of five, we were excited to see a fish and chips restaurant open in Cerritos, but we're disappointed with the food. The fries and the fish were too soggy, but the onion rings were crispy and delightful, which is why we are giving this place a 3.

I love finding hidden gems in random places. Did not expect to find a English style chip shop in the middle of Artesia. I was curious and was expecting an upgrade from a long john silver. What i got was a what the English call a Proper Chipy. Perfectly crispy, tasty and flaky center. Ordered the Pollock, it was a beautiful large filet compared to a Cod filet. Delicious with bright squeeze of lemon dipped in tartar sauce and a beer, magnificent.

I ordered 3 fried cod fillets, large coleslaw, 3 free tartar sauces but gave me 5 plus soggy lemon slices.

I thought I'd check this new fish & chips near my house. The sign outside still said "Soft Opening". They pointed out to me it was one week past their soft opening but not quite a grand opening. I ordered the cod only and large coleslaw. Upon the first taste I picked up a small fried fillet of fish and the crust immediately broke and slid off the fish. So I had naked fish to dip into tartar sauce. The tartar sauce was the best thing I tasted not the best but it was FREE. I asked for 3 and they gave me 5. All the staff mumbled and didn't communicate well. The crust sliding off fried fish usually means that the batter did not adhere properly, often due to the fish being wet or the batter being too heavy. Additionally, frying at the wrong oil temperature can also cause the batter to separate from the fish. As far as ambiance, there wasn't much to enjoy but new menus to ogle at, that's all. I think I'd make out far better by air frying my own frozen cod fillets and buying 1 lb of Starter Bros. Coleslaw for the price I paid for 1/4 pound at Staters. I doubt I'll be coming here again and I wouldn't recommend it unless they tried to make my experience better.

I ordered the Artesia House Fish (8 oz Alaskan Pollock), and it was lightly battered, perfectly crispy, and really tasty.

The fish was perfectly crunchy and fresh as can be. The couple working it (Hi Michelle) were so sweet and hospitable. They have a special $9.85 (or something like that under $10) for 2 pieces of fish, 2 pieces fried zucchini, fries and coleslaw. Such a steal of a deal. Truly cannot recommend this cute little hole in the wall more. Vibe was great. When I got home my 5 year old said "what's the smelll, can I have that?" And ate my second piece of fish for me. Guess I'll have to go back for more.

The inside looks like it is was an H Salt's, which is what i was looking for. On the other hand, it looks like it hadn't been updated since the 70s, except for a few fishing signs and plants. The menu looks like the original one. It's that old school fried food thing, The woman who takes your order fries the food. I got mine to eat here. She brought the food to my table. It's frozen fish in that famous triangular fish piece that no fish looks like. The fish has good crunch but little actual taste. The tartar sauce does not taste like it was freshly made and it's a little overly sweet. But the friend fish with the vinegar and tartar sauce was what i was looking for. This is the kind of place that is reminiscent of what H Salt was. Maybe my memory of what this tasted like is inaccurate. But it just doesn't taste as good as I remember. But that could be me or the place, or both. If you want this kind of place, it'll work. Just don't expect much.

There is metered street parking and it's not too hard to find a spot. The decor is also beautiful and it's a wonderful ambiance with consistent GREAT service. On the real real- I am disappointed in the food. Each time. Every time I've been here I actually don't eat the food beyond a bite or tie because it's just not good. However, I will say if you are looking for a cute place to people watch on second street and grab a cocktail then this is perfect. I've tried over half of the menu and I've never been impressed with anything. I never can even get past one or two bites. I kept going back to give them another shot, but at this point, I've decided I can't recommend anyone to eat here, especially for the price point. This last visit I had an amazing bartender and preserved a poke bowl, ceviche, and shrimp cocktail. None were good and I can't even call them satisfactory. I had two bites of the poke and it was bland, boring, and actually tasted bad. Same with the shrimp. The ceviche was also off and my friend and I left full plates and no questions were asked as to why and if we liked the food. We didn't. Very cute place, friendly servers. Mediocre at best food, and very expensive. This 11th chance leaving disappointed (and hungry) was the last chance. I tried.
