Wanted to find a boba place closer to us and saw that this place has taken over Lee's Sandwiches. It looks pretty similar inside but with a new, focused menu - mainly sandwiches and milk teas/smoothies. We ordered a chicken bahn mi and two milk teas - all were pretty good! Absolutely love this place. To the point that I hate it at the same time because I spend way too much money here their variety is all delicious. I spent more than $50 on food and drinks here but then they refused to give me ice water. Like regular ice water. They refused water? It's water. It's supposed to be free. I am not just coming in here asking for water and not buying anything. I spent $50 here. All I wanted was a glass of water. Uhhhhh ok. That's just poor business practices. What a way to turn your customers off. And when I asked them for water they said oh we don't give water because we sell it. Are you serious? It's the principle. Okay before I say anything else, EGG ROLLS. They are so flavorful over here! Their egg roll game is fire. I came here for some breakfast and was so excited to see how much stuff they had in there. Been here twice already and I like how they made their pastries, baguette and spring rolls the day off. You can taste the fresh quality by doing it this way and their banh mi's are pretty good. I often stop by for a Banh mi & drink before I go to work. I haven't seen a huge line for this place yet, but I'm surprised it's not super busy! They have mochi donuts, Korean hot dogs, and a bunch of Vietnamese & other Asian snacks. I love the thit nuong banh mi here- it's almost as good as the places I go to in SoCal! My friend has been obsessed with this place ever since I introduced it to her. We've come for pretty much everything. I tried their coffees and the strawberry matcha latte and the matcha latte is definitely my favorite (but I'm more of a tea person anyways). Their coffee with sea cream is a close second though! I've had the potato mozzarella and hot Cheetos corn dog and I highly recommend both. My friend accidentally dropped her corn dog and they were kind enough to make her another one for free. I also tried the bowl and they definitely give you a good portion. The only con about this place is that you have to buy 3 mochi donuts at a time, but I personally don't mind since I bring them home to share with my boyfriend anyways. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Nice atmosphere, very clean. The menu looks great and I look forward to trying some of the Banh Mi items. La Ca Bakery & Cafe in Hayward has some bomb "Rice Dogs", banh mi, Mochi Donuts , and boba ...amongst other things! We ordered the Original, Half Mozzarella, Potato Mozzarella, Sausage Cheetos, and Mozzarella Cheetos Rice Dogs!!!!...ALL of them were YUMMY!!! The Mozzarella ones passed the cheese pull test too!...lol! The hubby ordered a Salami sandwich which was simple yet delicious!...they bake their own French bread daily !!! Have you ever had a hard time deciding between having Pho or a Banh Mi?!...well look no further!...this place sells a Pho Banh Mi (La Ca Pho-Mi)...lol! The Mochi Donut flavors change daily and we tried the Honey Dew, Matcha, Tiramisu, Cookies & Cream, and Funnel Cake flavors!...all chewy and delicious! Pretty good! Considering that this is one of the only banh mi places in Hayward where we live, it is pretty good. I got a grilled chicken banh mi and the bread was perfect - a bit crunchy on the outside, but didn't cut into the roof of your mouth, and soft on the inside. The meat was well seasoned, I would just say wish the cucumbers were cut thinner. I also got 2 pate chaud - one chicken and one pork - both great. All in all, if you're craving a banh mi or Viet takeout deli place, this spot does the job well. So I ordered a bunch of stuff to try as I'm someone who always likes to try multiple things at a time. Potato Corn dog was burnt and gross. I've had the Korean style corndog many times and this was easily the worst I've had. The pork bun was cold on the inside and I was expecting sweet pork inside but instead it was ground pork with an egg and sausage rolled in that and I was not a fan. The Banh Mi was pretty decent the bread tasted fresh and the bbq pork was pretty good just not a big portion inside.
