This little gem has been hidden away in Lakehills for awhile, so when I found it I was sad it had taken me so long to check it out. This is a little Tex Mex eatery with prices and dishes you hope to find in a non chain restaurant. The chips were not homemade or if they were didn't taste homemade. The salsa was hot. On my second visit I only sampled these because my first visit I filled up on them and they weren't worth filling up on unless you have room for your meal as well. I ordered the Ladies special with a cheese enchilada, a puffy taco and refried beans and rice. All of these items were delicious. They were exactly what I hoped for. The plates come with a foil rolled tortilla that I never had room for. My friends both ordered the charro beans and said they were very hot/spicy, the operative word being VERY. I like spice and mild heat so I did not try these beans, which you can order to replace refried. On my two visits we got desserts to go, including carrot cake, cheese cake, pecan pie and apple pie. All of these were very good. On our second visit the employees were cleaning ceiling fans and light fixtures while there were diners in the rooms. I commented that the dust and dirt flying around and settling on my food I could do without. Perhaps they can clean after they close. Staff was very friendly, food was tasty and quick, and price was on point. When I visit Lakehills this is going to be a regular stop for a quick bite of Tex Mex! I'd like to check out the breakfast tacos too.

Little gem tucked away up in the hills by Medina Lake. Mostly locals visiting but the best place along the road to get some food. Always clean and pleasant with fresh food. Full bar too and outside seating for the right season. Oh, and breakfast too, which is hard to come by out here!

Good food. The restaurant staff was friendly and quick. Food came fast and was hot. Large red cups are a welcome for the sweet tea. The restaurant was clean and cool, not too busy for a Sunday. Beats fast food and is worth a stop. Most meals are less $10.

We were greeted by the same friendly employee when I visited the prior week, and she gave us each a stamp punch card - after so many you get a freebie coffee. FYI they also serve smoothies, not posted yet, and they can make them dairy free! My friend and I shared a Rueben sandwich and chicken salad croissant. Great flavors, but for me the Rueben shined! Lots of flavor. $1 more. My decaf latte with oat milk ($2 extra) and sugar free Belgian cookie syrup was nice. The price for the oat milk was steep, I don't think I've ever paid that much extra. I may skip it next time and go for the caffeine free teas. I ordered a hippie bar and honey glazed pecans to go. I really enjoyed the hippie bar- peanut butter, gluten free oats, chia, seeds, and dried cranberries. Lots of seating inside. There's a conference room- free of charge for ministry meetings and a mic area up front. The owner stopped by our table and greeted us, I just love supporting this local fam owned business. Oh and when we visited the women's restroom... I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful sky ceiling and bird sounds. So soothing and relaxing... I felt like I was transported to a gorgeous serene garden. Big smile on my face!

I wasn't overly optimist when we got there. The bar and grill had more of a bar feel than a grill feel and didn't seem overly clean, and we were the only people in the place the entire time we were there. The burger made up for it though! Juicy and cheesy with fresh veggies and a tasty bun. They have a burger, a double, a triple, and one with 4 patties!! The American cheese made it just perfect. Onion rings were good, nothing too special but nice and crunchy.

There is a roomy dining area above and another on entry where there is also a small bar area. Ordering is at the counter from a wall menu. Lots of variety of burgers. We got fried pickles, a chicken sandwich, a burger and a patty melt with onion rings. The patty melt was buttery and nicely prepared. Total for 3 with 2 drinks and the appetizer was about $75 with gratuity. I would image this could be quite a rocking venue on a Friday or Saturday night. Good for family dining or meeting up with friends. Parking onsite is generous. Definitely a Texas vibe if you find yourself in the area!

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant…read more I ordered a chicken biscuit with bacon and, after getting home, noticed the chicken appeared undercooked when I bit into it. I stopped eating it immediately, cut it open to check, and returned to the restaurant to request a refund. While I appreciate that my refund was processed, the way the situation was handled was extremely disappointing. The employee who assisted me was dismissive from the moment I walked in. When I tried to show my receipt, I was cut off and told it wasn't needed. The interaction felt unnecessarily rude and unprofessional, especially considering I was returning food due to a legitimate food safety concern. What bothered me most was the complete lack of an apology or acknowledgment of the issue. A simple "I'm sorry" would have gone a long way. Instead, as I was leaving the restaurant, I overheard the employee loudly telling the kitchen that I was "complaining" about my food being raw, despite the fact that I was still within earshot. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. Undercooked food can be an honest error. However, customer service is how a business responds when something goes wrong, and unfortunately this experience was handled very poorly. Because of both the food issue and the way I was treated, I will not be returning.

Every plate…read morecame out looking like it belonged on a menu cover, and more importantly it actually tasted that good. The eggs benny, the potato flautas, the burrito, the donuts, all of it. Portions are huge too, and for the quality you'd expect to pay way more than you do. But the real reason I'm writing this is our server, Ryan (the guy with the cool hair). He was fantastic. Genuinely warm, super attentive, and kept checking in and apologizing for any wait even though the place was slammed for brunch. Found out he's fairly new and you honestly couldn't tell. He made the whole experience. Management, take note. This guy's a keeper. We'll be back!

He truly made our first visit here special. The restaurant is modern, clean, and inviting. Since the place is popular expect some wait time but seats by the bar are based on first come first served rule. Food and drinks: Good selections in both areas. Our dishes were well prepared with generous amounts of seasoning and good flavours. All elements paired well with each other. You can order here alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. Pricing: $$ - standard prices and well worth the service and quality of food.
