Over 395 miles from LA and this was the best Mexican food I have ever had! Michele at the bar was amazing and recommended the M.V.T. Aka the Most Valuable Taco and it was delicious.... Life changing..... some would say amaze-ness! Down to the Elote and the chips and salsa I left so full and happy! Next time I'm in town this is my 1st stop. Please give this place a chance you won't regret it.

We haven't visited in a long time because the last visit left us really questioning why we would visit again. I think today was their redemption. I changed from 2 stars to 4. The options for Mexican in our area are pretty limited. All things considered, if you're looking for Mexican, this is one of the best options in the Fairfield, Suisun City, Vacaville area. I don't think this is authentic Mexican. I think it is more California Mexican. But it is good food and the service today was especially attentive. We were seated in the bar area. As soon as we were seated, we were served chips and salsa. They had a fun moment when they put on the party lights to wish someone happy birthday. I had my usual order, Tacos Tapatios. They were really good. The beans with the. chorizo are my favorite. The tacos were good. My husband ordered the chorizo and eggs breakfast. We both enjoyed the food. I will put the restaurant back on my list of places to visit. Thank you for a lovely lunch!!

Chicken bacon ranch Quesadilla

Came in craving some good Mexican food and this place definitely delivered. We started with a chicken bacon ranch quesadilla that was perfectly grilled--crispy on the outside and cheesy on the inside. The sides of guacamole, pico de gallo, and sour cream were fresh and flavorful, especially the guac. For the main dish, I had enchiladas topped with both red and green sauce, and they were delicious. The sauces had great flavor without being overwhelming, and the melted cheese on top tied everything together. The rice was fluffy and the beans were creamy--solid sides that complemented the meal well. Service was quick, and everything came out hot and fresh. Overall, a really satisfying meal. I'd definitely come back!

Came here for lunch on a Friday afternoon. The atmosphere is friendly and is perfect to catch a game or just hang out. My quesabirrias were really good. Crisp exterior with tender, juicy birria beef. Loved the ingredients in the consome, though I wish my tacos would have a but more onions and cilantro to give it more depth. Still great nonetheless. My wife liked her plate. Her only comment was that the ratio between the tamales masa and the chicken wasn't balanced as the masa was a bit excessive. The chicken seemed a bit overcooked but had good flavor. Would definitely come back again.

Wow!!!!! I had one of the best burritos I have had in a while! It was taking me a while to find a nice brunch place that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg! Well here it is! Walking in to this restaurant it's so charming. We walked over to the bar and found a couple of seats. We were immediately greeted with chips and salsa. The chips were warm and the salsa was different from anything I've had before. It was so good! It's more on the runny side but very tasty! The bartender gave us our menus and let me tell you.... There is so much to pick from!! There were so may different options from seafood, fajitas, tortas, burritos, enchilada plates, salads and so much more. Their margaritas come in two different sizes, so definitely got the larger size, it's $3 more and I mean you get a lot more. I ordered the blue margarita, and it was so good. It's a margarita with blue caracau. For food I took out bartenders advice and got the carnitas burrito with guacamole, sour cream, rice, beans, etc. and when it came out to the table it was so huuuuuuuuge! My partner ordered the chipotle quesadilla and man that meat had so much flavor. My carnitas were moist and there were chunks of meat! I don't know what size the tortilla was to wrap all that in there. If you get anything, ask for a side of the jalapeño sauce.... That had so much flavor, the really need to sell that in a store! So, I was still thirsty and needed to have another cocktail. So I ordered the Cadillac which comes with a little bottle of Gran Marnate that you pour off on top and it gives you that little bit of sweetness. I of course got the large one... and it took me forever to finish lol. I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!!!!!

One of my favorite restaurants in the area for Mexican food! Friendly service, massive portions, and the most delicious food. My go to's are the veggie fajitas and chili relleno, but I also love the enchiladas (try the green sauce!) and burritos. The margaritas are giant and great for sharing. Place is always packed so either expect a wait or come for an early dinner.

We came as a big group (30+) on a Friday night. The place was packed but since we had reservations they had everything all ready for us. The service was friendly and for the size of our group the food came out relatively fast. I ordered the house burrito (w/Shredded Beef) and I made it mojado with the jalapeño cream sauce. The burrito was huge, delicious, and the sauce was to die for. Everyone else in the group raved about the food and I will definitely be coming back when I am in the Suisun/Fairfield area.

The staff was friendly and the food was great. I'd order the al pastor tacas again. They were tasty but the beans not so much. I wasn't feeling their beer selections so I didn't partake.

La Cabana and Ramses & Blanca are close to my heart. Such down to earth, loving people who care about community... and make amazing food in huge portions! How can you go wrong? We have been supporting this business for over 25 years . we used to go when it truly was a shack on Main Street. Every time I go there is a wait list because the restaurant is so popular. My heart fills with pride every time I see how many people love this restaurant. The food is amazing, good home cooked recipes, traditional, Mexican food. I know we always just eat chips and salsa when we go to a Mexican restaurant, but you've got to get the verde bean dip!! you'll want to lick the plate! We recently went for my sister-in-law's birthday and these are the pictures that we took. I brought home my leftovers and had food for three days.!!! They have taco Tuesday happy hour, all kinds of price, discounts, and bundles. You can go to watch sports on the mini TVs they have around the restaurant.. you can sit in the bar for a more casual high top atmosphere or sit in the restaurant, or even outside on the patio. All kind of drinks and tequila!! We love la cabaña and support this family forever!!

Up here for a few days for business, La Cabana was within walking distance of my hotel so decided to give it a shot. So glad I did, great food, big portions, great beer on draft and friendly service. When you walk in it feels welcoming, the greeters said hello and we were seated right away. Chips and salsa came out immediately and soon after our server came to take our order, they have the timing down and it shows. Our meals came out pretty fast, so wait time was also positive. I got the Tacos Tapatio which is 4 street tacos with beans topped with meat, grilled onions and radish. It was excellent and they give you a ton of food. Paired my taco with a giant 25 ounce mug of Modelo, perfect. The chips and salsa are decent, but the salsa is very mild, so yourself a favor and ask for the Habanero salsa, come in a verse with a bit of the habanero added, mix it up and it will give you a nice spice, they way it should be. Love the decor inside, murals on the walls, lots of decor and for some reason a sexy pirate lady, not sure how that goes with the vibe, but let's go. Go out and check them out, homestyle Mexican food, support the business and have a great meal. Enjoy!

Service we've gotten here has always been pleasant and quick. Lots of seating is available and the food is good. They offer a little bit of everything.

The best chips and salsa!

We love coming here whenever we have a craving for Mexican food. I'm a creature of habit and almost always get the same thing. The bistec encebollado is so good! I swear that plate could feed two people. I can never finish the entire thing, but it's great to have leftovers for the next day. Their rice and beans also are my fav! I don't normally care for other places when it comes to rice and beans, but La Cabana hits the spot every time. Let's talk about the chips and salsa...I could eat just this and be full. It's usually the case when we go here. I get full off this and by the time my meal arrives, I have no room! I guess that's a good problem to have. The waitresses are all so nice and friendly. It makes the experience that much better. I can't speak to the rest of the menu, but I know that hubby loves all the dishes that he has gotten thus far!

Kids chicken tenders with fries

If you're really hungry La Cabana will definitely deliver to your expectations - perhaps more. Their plates are extremely generous and I really underestimated how much food comes in a serving. They do have kid's menu along with some crayons and their menu is up to date on their website. Just make note that the Menudo is only available on the weekends and often sells out before mid morning. For both my kids, I ordered from the children's menu and their plates was more than enough for them. They had the chicken tenders with fries and quesadilla with steak (requested steak on the side and it was a large portion). My kids wasn't able to eat half of their meals so to go boxes were needed for their food. I ordered their steak and shrimp quesadilla and I did not realize how large that quesadilla was. The quesadilla itself was delicious, great flavors and I enjoyed their pico de gallo. Not even a full slice of the quesadilla got me full - box certainly needed (and lasted me about three days). My mother ordered the mango shrimp salad and offered some to me. It was amazing. Honestly, if anyone ever asks for a salad recommendation I would highly suggest that specific salad. Mom couldn't finish it either - Box requested. The last plate ordered was the tacos with carnitas. The tortillas came on the side and the carnitas was super tender. That plate was needed to be boxes as well. The service was good. It got busy in the dinning area as the dinner rush had just started and it was getting louder by the minute. I'm surprised that La Cabana has always been in the downtown Suisun area and I had yet to try their dishes. I usually come here for the side small quesadilla and a michelada in the bar but now I know what to get when I wanna get a meal!

If you're a seafood lover, I highly recommend the ceviche and aguachile -- the portions are generous, packed with flavor, and always incredibly fresh. I'm also a big fan of Taco Tuesday. Four tacos for $10 is such a great deal and definitely worth stopping in for. I usually grab a seat at the bar, order a cold beer, and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere that makes it so easy to relax and unwind. The vibe here is always chill, the music sets the perfect tone, and the service is consistently great. Special shoutout to Juan behind the bar for always helping make the experience even better. I want to try their other bean style. Hubby got three item combo- chicken tamale, chile relleno and taco. Again, generous portions that we had leftovers. And they were still good then. I'd love to come back and dine here. Thinking hubby and i can share the nachos. Seems like everyone raves about them. Decor gives a fun setting. Spacious seating and plenty of parking.

Walking in, I was immediately greeted with smiling and welcoming vibes from the ladies at the front and told to take a seat wherever I'd like to sit. The hit for me is that MENUDO is available on a non-weekend! I've been craving it and when I ordered it (on a Tuesday), I hoped it would be fresh and it was! The broth was savory and flavorful as is but with the added oregano, dried peppers, onions, and cilantro to my liking- it just made it even better! The best part was that you can either order it with pata or no pata. Shoooot, you don't have to ask me twice! I said I want the pata hahahaha that with tender and not overcooked tripe was just what I was wanting! If you love menudo, this is a place I'd recommend and go to get it regularly. The MICHELADA MARISCADA is tasty! It's a mixture of seafood in a sweet and tangy sauce. For those who do not like spice, this is a great option. I was with someone who doesn't like spicy food and isn't a big fan of Mexican food but MAN! she killed the entire plate! So now we have a place that we both can really enjoy together. Will be back!!

It was about $60 for a to go order of 6 tacos and a quesadilla and a drink. While the food was good, not sure if the price was worth it considering all of the other Mexican food options nearby. Also, the tacos didn't come with any sides (rice, beans, etc.) which was unfortunate for the price. The In-Between: We found this place on Instagram based on a video review someone did. Unfortunately, the food is where things fell apart. When I walked in, I asked if they had a super burrito since I didn't see it on the menu. The gentleman taking my order said they did, so I ordered a carne asada super burrito. A regular burrito on the menu was listed at $8.99, but my super burrito came out to a little over $16 after tax. I also noticed Yelp lists the super burrito at $10.99, so maybe the prices have changed, but that's still a pretty big jump from the regular burrito. The burrito itself was huge, but after the first few bites, I was honestly disappointed. The carne asada was unusually stringy and fatty, which isn't something I've ever experienced with carne asada burritos before. I kept eating, expecting to get to the guacamole, sour cream, and salsa, but by the halfway point I decided to cut the burrito open. It turned out almost all of those ingredients were packed into the very bottom instead of being distributed throughout. The guacamole also had a sour taste that didn't seem right. I also noticed the burrito I received looked nothing like the photos posted here on Yelp, so I'm not sure if the recipe has changed since those pictures were taken. As someone who loves burritos and rarely passes one up, this was, unfortunately, one to forget. The free fountain drink and chips were a nice bonus, but they couldn't make up for the burrito itself. I genuinely wish this restaurant the best because the staff were excellent, but the food just didn't live up to my expectations.
