    Lobster enchiladas

We saw the videos of influencers dining here (and we even saw some posing for their phones by the bathrooms) talking about this place. We also saw the reviews on yelp that were pointing to the contrary. We decided to give it an honest chance and a group of us went last night (Saturday night). This was our experience. One of the first things you notice outside is the sign saying there is a two hour sitting limit at your table. Then when you first walk in you're hit by a wall of music. It feels like you are entering a club rather than a restaurant. The staff at the front is very nice and professional. We were taken to our table and 25minutes later our waiter arrived. He took our drinks order and left. Other people showed up on occasion to refill water and bring water containers to the table. Some bread was dropped off which was nice. 42 minutes later our drinks arrived. While we were drinking water and eating bread our waiter participated in several birthday celebrations. This involved the music being pumped up to eleven. Bear in mind that the music was already at a solid nine with the base thumping on the regular. So when a birthday kicks off you get the full treatment. Also the waiters are all occupied with that so service stops. Since there were parties all night you can imagine what that was like. So yes, nearly an hour after we arrived our waiter finally decided to ask what we would like to eat. Since we were starving we ordered appetizers, our main courses and some more drinks so we'd have something to eat while waiting for our food to be prepared. We made it clear that the appetizers were to come first and he said he of course and that he understood. A few more birthday celebrations later about twenty minutes later the appetizers started arriving. It came in a couple of waves with only one of our party not getting theirs. Less than five minutes later our main courses arrived. There wasn't even enough space on the table for all the food especially since there were empty glasses and plates that nobody was coming around to clean off. So we started stacking things on the bench next to us doing our own table bussing. We asked the runner why the main courses were coming out now since the same runner that delivered the appetizers. She just shrugged and ran off. About ten minutes after our main dishes arrived our friend finally received his appetizer. No, I'm not joking. The food was "ok." The filet mignon was just a sliver of meat, not even an inch thick on a slice of onion. It looked like a slightly thick slice of sausage except the filet had no flavor. The mole was definitely not mole. The shrimp that was on top was over cooked and dried out. The lobster enchiladas were small and didn't have much lobster. The rice and beans were completely unappetizing looking. Other people had similar issues with their dishes unfortunately. Our party mentioned the octopus was great, the bread served in the beginning was good, the appetizer of cheese fondue was good. The chicken and shrimp on the fajitas was dry, and the lobster on the lobster spaghetti was dry. The mole was definitely an 'American' flare. Wrapping up our experience when we get our checks in our little pirate box even though we were six people table that paid in 3 different checks, they still tacked on a mandatory 18% tip plus an extra 3% for using a credit card to pay. In summary this was a disappointing experience from the protray on social media and the restaurants website. For a place advertising themselves as a high end modern Mexican restaurant it was anything but except for the prices. Also, at $16 a shot for Jameson that's just crazy. If this was truly a high end restaurant where the service is impeccable than I would have no issue with that. But at a place that is pretending to be such it's just insulting. We've ate at plenty of those and it's worth it. I would not expect modern Mexican to include hamburgers, spaghetti, or traditional ribeye steaks as restaurant fare. It felt like a confusion or at least lack of commitment to the theme. Sadly, this was a prime example of instagram influencers not reflecting reality. The service was extremely poor. The food was mediocre at best. Honestly we would have had a better experience with far better service at the Chevy's next door where the service is better and the food matches expectations. After dinner we all talked and agreed that this would be the first and last time we come to this restaurant.

I've been to MPD a few times. I held off on reviewing because my experiences were uneven. I'm glad I gave it a few tries. Here are my ratings based on basic criteria: Food: **** Service: *** Ambiance: **** The food is fantastic here. I will preface my experience has been brunch only. I've never had dinner. I will say that their verde sauce here is one of the best I've had. I love me some verde sauce and these guys bring the noise. I especially enjoy the verde crema sauce. OMG. Their Chile Quillas Shrimp with Crema Verde is super good. Also this Tres Leche French toast was addicting. MPD has good to great food. I rated service a 3. We came right before 2 and advised us that they were in a changeover from brunch to dinner. We were fine with that. We ordered dinner type food. What we didn't expect was to wait 1 hour for our food. Most fine dining places shut down for the turnover, but MPD stayed open. Better to close and reopen for dinner. The saving grace is that we've been back for brunch a few times without an issue. The service was very good since. The ambiance in MPD is a visual feast for your eyes. Upbeat music is playing in the background and lots of giant projector screens playing various scenes of Mexico and aquarium life. I can tell this place gets down at night. The furnishing and decorations were all of high quality. No expense was spared. Great place, great food! Just don't go during the turnover.

Really fun drinks! Food had good flavor. The service is a little over the top- trying to be something it's not. First off- no salsa is available to go with the chips. The waiter told us the owner doesn't like "messy items". There is NO salsa and no ice water.....in a Mexican food restaurant in a parking lot in Fairfield. Next you get chilled water (no ice) and they bring a giant platter of sliced fruit to go in the water. Kinda of weird for but ok. Give the people what they want- ICE. SALSA. Next we were brought out house bread....to go with our Mexican food?? (Would love chips and SALSA!). The bread was literally like a Hawaiian sweet roll with what I joked tasted like lays potato chips on top..... it was VERY LITERALLY lays potato chips crushed on top like a gourmet item LOL. JUST WHY?! They also didn't want any bags on the tables. They have a coat rack next to every table they want you to put things on- including my friend's birthday gift that was in a bag. The waiter checked in like every 5 seconds. He told us how the owners really want a "elevated" experience. Talked about no messy items yet again. It was too much and did not make for an enjoyable experience. This place is not made for Fairfield....

Steak Alfredo. Steak 10/10. The Alfredo sauce was too milky and buttery, would not order again.

The only con was food so let me get into the pros... Plenty of parking! Had a reservation for 7 on a saturday and was seated right on time. Server was great! Attentive, funny, and very helpful with the menu. There's 2 large spaces people are sat, one is more lively and loud the other more private. Lots of people dressed up for celebrations. For birthdays they bring out a sign, sparkles, turn up the music and CELEBRATE. Depending on what you order you might get a margarita cart pulling up to your table making your drink in front of you. Speaking of drinks- YES. ORDER THE ALCOHOL. Not only are the bartenders good, each specialty cocktail has a cute little theme to go with it - perfect for PICS. Now food, I suggest getting a cut of steak and some sides. Everything else is just okay and not worth the price AT ALL. Check out my pics for reference. All in all. If youre looking for somewhere to celebrate, take a bunch of pictures, and just a fun time all around, make a reservation. Not pictured was the ceviche appetizer - which was delicious!

Food was not good and it's overpriced. The place is really nice so I can see why it makes people want to come. I got the chilaquiles verdes spicy and they were not spicy at all! They don't have a good flavor either. The steak was basically all fat and chewy. Disappointed. Would not come here again.

Steak taco FYI $10 but it was so good

I thought I posted this review already but I guess not lol. This place was a VIBE. I feel like this place is good for celebrations, ladies night or just a sexy date. We came here with a few couples and we just wanted to celebrate love. Now they don't do anything special for anniversaries, which was unfortunate because I love a celebration but it's still cute just know, if you want any royal treatment....... You're the one paying for it here lol oh and I forgot to add the food was good but pricey

I think this is an interesting culinary addition to the options in Fairfield/the surrounding area. I've been 3 times for dinner, and I'll say that it is a very specific experience, and whether it's "worth" it depends entirely on what you're looking for. DO come if you want: ambience, a drink, a small bite. Don't come if you're starving. The prices are on the high side and the portions are not large. The service is good, however, be aware that they will try to upsell you. RECS: the Camarones Costa Azul are delicious, as well as the Grilled Cauliflower. The grilled octopus is tender and yummy. The Enchiladas Verdes and both shrimp ceviche options are very doable. PROCEED WITH CAUTION: the Esquite is a decent app as well, though I feel this one could use more flavor, which I could say for many things I tried - although it's worth mentioning that I am picky and prefer my food highly seasoned; I requested and wore out a bottle of Cholula... The Lobster Mac & Cheese is 97% mac & cheese. The tacos don't have much filling for what they cost. The fajitas are bland and they charge for extra tortillas. One of the servers outright told me on one visit that the food is for a "certain palate." I knew exactly what he meant. It feels like touristy places I've been to in Tulum. The flavors here are a bit muted, but it is still a nice spot to go for a date or a drink with friends, or if you want to treat yourself to an elevated experience. **It can be noisy if you're trying to have a yap.**

Worth the drive to "Far-field"! The food was great. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. Octopus, tacos, enchiladas, fajitas, chicharrones guacamole, cauliflower & ceviche were amazing! Our server Javier recommended all the best dishes and speciality drinks. Flights of margaritas is a must try. The atmosphere and ambiance was like a Vegas restaurant. Alive and thumping music. Definitely puts you in a good mood. 7 people, 7 appetizers, 7 main courses, 3 desserts & a ton of drinks for $720. Would I come back? ABSOLUTELY.

I've been to this location twice now. It's definitely an experience going here. First let me start off by saying if you're sensitive to flashing lights and loud noises this place is not for you. Also not a great place if you're looking to have a cozy quiet conversation with someone..... BUT if you're out to have a good time and for some of us relive our college party days this is your place. The ambiance is over the top club vibes Service is also over the top with wait staff there almost as your personal concierge for the evening. Starting off with what slice of fruit would you like in your water glass. No one is ignoring you here. Food is good. We had the guacamole with chicarones and ribeye. Which was superb. We also had the shrimp ceviche that was probably the best thing we had that night. Beware the sauce is in carry's a lingering heat but is fantastic. I ordered the Waygu burger and others order the fajitas all tasty. Finally the lemon mousse which was a same to cut into because it looked so much like a real lemon sitting on the plate. Definitely someplace to experience.

This is the Picanha steak (but with the skirt steak sides)

I saw a ton of 1 start reviews here and it made me a bit nervous, but we gave it a shot anyways and I'm glad we did. Five star all the way! The food was delicious, the vibe was fun, and the service was excellent! We had the fried lobster appetizer,The Picanha Steak, and the chicken enchiladas with mole, and rounded it off with the Tres Leches. The mocktails were delicious as well. Highly recommend!

Very fun, loud, club vibe restaurant. If you're looking for a new place to chat and have a super chill experience, this might not be the place for you. If you have light/strobe sensitivity you might not wanna go. We had brunch here. Good service. The music was kind of loud. Everytime a table ordered special shots the music got even louder and staff would come around with sparklers etc. The food was good! Chilaquiles and I think tres leches French toast. I got a Mexican coffee and it was delicious. It's a beautiful space! This is a very fun and lively, party vibe restaurant. Great for a celebration or birthday! But it can be a little overstimulating. I would go back!

Awwww man I wanted to love this place so bad but No! This place is all for the looks/ambiance and nothing else. They put all the love in the interior design but no love into the food. We ordered fajitas, birria tacos and skirt steak plate. Fajitas looked not cooked enough and very light colored. Birria tacos tasted like meat from a can and tacos were not even folded. Skirt steak was tough and lacked flavor. All the food lacked flavor and was very disappointing! By the way, the employees kept dropping glasses everywhere and seem very all over the place. Never came around clear off our table so we didn't even have enough room for our main courses. I can go on and on about this place but I just won't be returning. Felt like I was robbed without a gun. Save your money and go else where. This place ain't it!

If you're looking for a new spot that serves infused Mexican food with a fun, energetic vibe, this is the place. The ambiance is great-beautiful décor, a DJ playing upbeat music, and live shows available for an additional cost. It's perfect for celebrations like anniversaries, birthdays, and bachelor or bachelorette parties. I came here on a double date and highly recommend making a reservation, especially for a later time. Since we had a late-night reservation, we decided to order several appetizers to sample different items from the menu. We were welcomed with a complimentary esquite for the table along with bread, which was delicious. We ordered the Guacamole with Chicharrón de Ribeye ($28), Queso Fundido ($13), Aguachile de Ribeye ($38), and attempted to order the Tuétanos ($18), although that dish never arrived. The only issue with the queso fundido was that it came with just two tortillas for a table of four, but we asked for more and they were happy to bring them. We each had a couple of margaritas and cocktails, which ranged from $14-$18, with other premium options available at higher prices. There is also a photographer who walks around taking photos, which are later printed and offered for purchase. The restaurant has a two-hour dining limit. Because the servers are also involved with the shows, service can be a bit slow at times. Overall, our experience was good, though there were delays with drinks, table service, and one forgotten food item. Despite the minor issues, we enjoyed the atmosphere and food and would consider coming back to try their brunch

Call them around 5:30 pm at night. The owners dont seem to understand how to run a business properly. They need a lot of fine tuning.

Located inside the Westfield's Mall at Solano Town Center (forever known to locals simply as Solano Mall for short). Better have your credit card on point or a wad of cash to see a good time here. We ate before arriving, looking to move beyond the basic pub food offerings. So, can't really comment on the burgers n' such. It's pretty much an unorganized and haphazard way of seating yourself when entering. We found a table close to the bar and with good sight lines of the big screens. But, signs at the tables say wait to be seated by a hostess (?) Took awhile to be acknowledged by a server, but we weren't in a terrible hurry either. Started with rounds of drinks. Non-drinker myself, my two 12 oz. canned non-alcoholic brews were $9 a piece w/o tip. My buddy had Blue Moon yard flights that were about $15 per. Your basic well mixed drinks range from $15-$20 per, with call drinks priced at market-bearing prices. The "eatertainment" chain also gets their hooks into you with their play passes. These are the cards that you can purchase for you & your kiddos if you wanna play their fancy, state-of-the-art video games. The venue pushes these pretty hard. They have very nice big screens showing the latest sporting events with no cover charge typically. Big plus there. But, of course, you're paying one way or another through the upsell. Server Tiffany was a sweetheart and took good care of us. Be sure to take care of your hard-working servers folks! The armed security guard-bouncers were (surprisingly) friendly & cool too. By chance, we bumped into old school homies who are well known in the music industry. They were looking to enjoy the place, drinks and the game on the semi-low. Linked up and exchanged rounds of drinks with them after they shotted us out. Separate bathrooms unattached to the mall were clean & welcoming, always a blessing when drinking of course. Look into adding the Dave & Buster's app on your phone to reward your spending. Why not get some credit for your purchases? And finally, if you drink, please do so responsibly. Use a designated driver or rideshare for the benefit of everyone (PSA). Thank you. Enjoy.
