I love when places don't premix the filling: I like seeing the cheese separate from the meat. Oftentimes when premixed you can barely see, or taste, the meat. Our main courses were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The tamal was delicious, yes I'm also a tamal snob. Horchata was great, too. What can I say, I have zero complaints. Plantains were sliced thin and fried, sweet and ripe, they were served with a rich cream sauce. Pickled onions were also offered we they were very good but I don't eat onions. My SO had a breakfast of eggs, corn tortilla, large slice of white cheese, refried beans and plantains. He ate all the beans and made an egg sandwich with the rest.
