Food and service was great. We ordered the flautas, pupusas, and crane asada tacos and everything was amazing. Good portion sizes, food is authentic and delicious. 10/10 would recommend and would go back

Usually, the best food for different ethnicities comes from the mom and pop shops that are not chains. Because of this, I often seek out the hard to find and often unknown locations. This is how I found Taco Loco. Smashed in between a Chinese and Cuban restaurant, you'll find a quaint location offering some bakery items and a taco stand in the back. Upon arrival, you'll find you might be at a loss for for where to go. Without a sign, it's unclear you're suppose to walk straight back to the counter. Once you're there, the menu is quite simple. Tacos, sopes, quesadillas, flautas, tostadas, and menudo. Meats include carnitas, asada, pollo, camarones, tripa, al pastor, chorizo, and barbacoa. Once you place an order, just sit down. They provide table service. You can choose any drink in the coolers (but again, it's not clear). Once the arrived (which is made fresh to order and takes a minute), it was pretty good. I ordered 1 pollo taco, 1 asada taco and a camarones sopes with a side of rice & beans. Flavors were on point but the rice and beans left a lot to be desired. There was a lack of flavor and the rice seemed like the frozen variety. Overall, it was an ok place with AMAZING prices (everything is $2). I'd visit again but it wouldn't be a top pick. They do offer breakfast though! I'd be willing to try that.

We've found our new taco spot! My husband and I each tried 1 pollo, 1 carne and 1 carnitas taco. The resturant is a little hidden spot, very clean and they wash hands and utensils a lot. The tacos were amazing! Covered in onion and cilantro and were delicious. Their pepper sauce was so flavorful. I liked the carne best, pollo came in second. The carnita was a little gamey for my liking but still really good. I had to to order another carne because it was so good. We bought 8 tacos and 2 waters. Our total was $19.08. It was delicious, cheap authentic! We will be back for sure!!

Late lunch with my wife and I think we just found our new secret spot! The tacos we're great! We're going to work our way through the different options but man, hold on...we just ordered one more taco each. Ok, so look past the decor. Go straight back to the kitchen. Order. Sit and wait to have some tasty authentic tacos. The service is great! The ladies who work here make sure you get exactly what you want how you want it.

I have to say even my teenage daughter was impressed. The tacos were all great. The Carnitas Tostones is a gem. I make these at home and I can say they did an exceptional job with combination of fresh veggies, meat and sauce. Of course the Chicken Burrito Bowl was the freaking bomb!!! And took the show. We all loved that one. Better than one we had at Fort Lauderdale By the Sea at a fancy restaurant. The service was great Andrea was on top of our needs and remembered everything we asked for. She checked in with us very often. The look inside makes you feel a burst of happiness with all the vibrant colors and decoration. And omg the music choices were all my favorite so I felt in heaven happy . Will be back to try them soon.

I ordered the ceviche and the mushroom taco. The ceviche was fresh and flavorful, though it was served inside half a pineapple, which I found a bit impractical and, in my opinion, an unnecessary waste of food. The mushroom taco was the only disappointment, as it lacked flavor and the mushrooms tasted more like canned than fresh. Fortunately, the rest of our group was very pleased with their meals. Overall, the restaurant offers a pleasant atmosphere, good service, and very reasonable prices, making it a nice option for a relaxed meal near the beach.

It's so good I've already gone two weeks in a row and I'm pretty sure it's about to become a regular thing for me. One of my favorite parts about this place is that the owners are actually the chefs in the kitchen, preparing all of the dishes themselves. They're incredibly friendly and even come out to chat with guests, which makes the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. The barbacoa tacos are hands down my favorite. The meat is unbelievably tender literally falling apart and so juicy and flavorful. I also tried the campechano tacos (a mix of chorizo and steak) and they were sooo good. Perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor. And let's talk about their chipotle salsa... I'm obsessed. I was putting it on everything on the table. It has the perfect smoky kick and just elevates every bite. The guac and chips were good, though they didn't quite stand out compared to how incredible the tacos were. But honestly, those tacos alone are reason enough to keep coming back. Safe to say I've found my new Taco Tuesday spot . Can't wait for my next visit!

Hands down, some of the best authentic Mexican tacos I've ever had!…read more I stopped in for lunch at Habaneros Mexican Taqueria in Pompano Beach and was absolutely blown away. This place is the real deal. The tacos are cooked to order, so yes--it takes a little time. But wow, is it worth the wait. I had two tacos: asada and carnitas. Both came out hot off the grill with generous, juicy portions of perfectly seasoned meat. The flavors were rich and fresh, and the texture was spot-on. What really set them apart, though, were the homemade corn tortillas--warm, slightly chewy, and clearly made in-house with care. Just fantastic. I skipped the cilantro (not my thing), but the freshly diced onions added a nice crunchy contrast. And the salsas--oh man. They brought out two squeeze bottles, one red and one green. The green salsa was my favorite: cold, zesty, just the right amount of heat (about 5/10), and full of flavor and texture. The red salsa had a deeper kick and great flavor too--definitely not shy on the spice. A final squeeze of the lime wedge brought everything together perfectly. If you're in the area and love tacos, this spot is a must. I'm already planning my next visit.
