Decided to give Maria's a try the other day and I'm disappointed that I waited so long to try them. I'm always looking for great tacos and I was very happy with everything I got but one was a stand out for me. I tried the queso tacos four different proteins, carne asada, al pastor, carnitas, and cameron(shrimp). Each protein was seasoned to perfection, topped with cilantro and diced onions (shrimp had pico) also some carmalized onions and got two of there homemade salsa warning the red one is HOT they are not playing over there lol and a few fresh veggies (radish,cucumber,limes). Now for me personally the carnitas was chefs kiss so damn good best carnitas I've had yet in Florida. Can't wait to go back to try some other stuff. Keep up the good work read more

All I can say is amazing! We orders 6 tacos (2 chicken, 2 pulled pork, 2 chorizo) and one chicken tostada. The tacos were extremely flavorful and we all loved them. Omg, one of the most delicious Mexican food I've tasted. I randomly drove by the food truck and decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did. I tried the al pastor tacos and the carne asada tostada and it was so so so delicious and I had to go back and order a second one! Food is fantastic! My favorite go-to for authentic Mexican for the last 20 yrs has been Mexican Supermarket in Pompano. That place is still my favorite but living in West Boca, it was always an inconvenient detour on my commute from Hollywood. This place is so good and so close to being equally as good but directly on my commute home that I no longer need to inconvenience myself and add time and stress to an already not-fun commute. Welcome to the most delicious tacos y mas I've had from a food truck, ever. These guys really know what they are doing. The service is quick, professional, and polite. They asked if we would like to add on all the extras like sauces, beverages and some sort of ice pop (can't remember the name). Now let's get to the food-- We tried their nachos which were delicious. You can tell they make their chips fresh. If they don't, then wow. Magic. The toppings were fresh and packed with flavor. I love that they didn't sog into one another and maintained their independence. We got it with steak for the protein which, again, was packed with flavor. The only recommendation I could possibly add is to toss the chips in a little bit of salt. The second meal we ordered were the quesabirria. These were hot, tasty, and not super greasy which I feel like is always the case w birria. The birria broth was excellent and a perfect portion for the entry. The real star of our order were the Barbarcoa and chorizo tacos I got just to sample other flavors. I would 100000% order the barbarcoa on the nachos for the next order. These were both my absolute favorite. I don't know what other words to describe them other than delicious, flavorful and buy them. read more

We love good Mexican food, and this food truck is amazing! Everything we tried was so good--honestly, we tried almost every taco on the menu, and they're all fantastic. But the tamale? Maria's Tacos y Más - Nachos with Chorizo & Steak -- "The Food Truck That Had No Business Being This Good" I only review nachos. One plate, one standard. And this one is at a taco truck in the Exxon station at Beracasa Way and Palmetto. Don't let the address fool you. I'll be honest. I don't really eat at food trucks. Novelty stops, not places you expect to outcook a restaurant. Then I went through the internet's top-ten nacho lists, discovered the internet and I have very different standards, and the quest demanded a wider net. Maria's was on the list. I pulled in with zero expectation of being impressed. I was impressed. The menu is clean -- homemade tortilla chips, melted cheese, pico, pickled jalapeños, avocado crema, cotija, cilantro, onion. Every single ingredient belongs on a nacho. No mystery feta hidden in the queso. Julio, who works the truck, told me to get the chorizo AND steak. Julio was right. Write that down. The chips are homemade and held up all the way to the bottom, zero soggy chips, including the layer under the refried beans, which is more than nachos twice this price have managed. The cheese (likely Oaxaca) had a proper melt. Both proteins were seasoned and cooked correctly, chorizo bringing smoke and spice, steak bringing substance. And the jalapeños had actual heat that built as I ate, which in this series is cause for celebration. I've eaten too many decorative circles that contributed nothing. The Fork Rule got violated, but for the first time in the series, by enthusiasm, not failure. The plate looked so good coming out of that truck that waiting wasn't an option. The fork was a choice, not a rescue. It came out hot and fast -- 3.5 minutes, the quickest plate I've clocked. It was warm by the time I ate it, but that's on me: there's nowhere to sit at the truck, so I drove 15 minutes home first. The kitchen did its job. My commute undid it. Ordered from food truck and expected great tacos and nachos. tacos were stuffed with mostly fatty inedible pork a dab of sauce and taco shells just soggy dry and way too thick for such a small taco. Nachos were mostly just chips topping very skimpy nothing to eat! basically very disappointing since food trucks usually have great food. this was poor quality and portion. the only thing fresh and good was side of guacamole. read more
