This restaurant is conveniently located right across the street from the Mamaroneck Metro North…read moretrain station. The decor is tasteful and elegant. They have several tables in the front and additional seating in the back. Our waiter was very kind and accommodating. To drink, I had a mocktail. I was worried it would be too sweet because it included sprite and cranberry juice, but it was actually very pleasant and bursting with flavor. For my main, I had the frittata. It was tasty. Some of the broccoli rabe was a little tough to chew, but not too bad. It was topped with a generous portion of cheese. I loved the tender mushrooms. My husband got the cozze. The portion of mussels was large and he enjoyed the sauce. We also shared the cinnamon french toast, which was delicious. It didn't even need syrup as it was perfectly sweet with the cream and berries on top. Even so, they had several syrups to choose from including amber and maple. Looking forward to coming back to try the dinner menu.

Shared three appetizers: grilled octopus, Puntarelle salad and the mussels in a smoked tomato sauce. Everything was delicious but the mussels were superb. The entrees we tried were the gemelli, gnocchi with lamb neck and the paperdelle with duck ragu. These were also well prepared and tasty. We enjoyed a bottle of Oddero Nebiolo which enhanced every bite.

A very pleasant dining experience with lovely mosaics and pictures on the walls. One of our favorite neighborhood go to spots for lunch or dinner. I had high hopes for this place given the reviews but it was simply not good. We came for lunch…read morearound 11:30 (Google states they opened at this time) but they did not open until noon. The place was surprisingly busy and there were only 2 servers which resulted in slow and inattentive service. The menu is ambitious and interesting but the food tasted very bland. We started with the Asian ribs and jalapeno poppers. Both looked unappetizing. The ribs were dry despite sitting in a pool of sauce which tasted burnt. The jalapeno poppers looked like something I would make at home and tasted that way as well. My wife's burger was OK, although she ordered it medium and it came pink so she had to send it back. My pork mojo bowl was ok, but underseasoned as well. Surprisingly the mojo sauce was bland as well when it's typically bold and garlicky. Overall I don't get why this restaurant has such stellar reviews - the food overall was bland and looked homemade. I wouldn't come back.

They had a live band that was setting up on a Friday evening around 8. Their old fashioned that was good. Unfortunately the food was below average. The empanadas were oily. The buffalo chicken wings barely had buffalo sauce and also felt oily. The fries on the mini burgers arrived cold. The service was good. When we mentioned the cold fries, waitress brought us a fresh batch of fries. She also gave us a free juice mocktail that was a nice touch. Full marks for drinks, vibe and music. The food wouldn't be what brings us back.

I was not disappointed with this decision because later, it does get cramped with people and the live band (live music fridays and saturday). The crispy chicken bites were delicious, so crisp. The aida flatbread was good, however it was not my top choice because of the texture and amount of toppings. Drinks were strong but I am not complaining about that! With the live music it does get loud, you're pretty much screaming at your partner. I would recommend to try but it does seem like a spot with regulars.
