The venue itself is breathtaking and spacious, allowing you to host not just a wedding day, but an entire wedding weekend your guests will remember. The team goes above and beyond to listen to your vision and thoughtfully incorporate every detail, making the experience even more beautiful and personalized. We would recommend this venue--and this incredible team--to anyone. We stayed from Friday to Monday (with a Saturday wedding). While a majority of our family, and bridal party stayed on site, we had plenty of others that stayed at htoels near by. Early on in the process, the Villa del Paraiso team recommended Vista Hermosa which worked perfectly as they provided shuttles to and from our venue throughout the weekend. Additionally, the food is amazing! Villa del Paraiso's chef, Jorge, and his wife, Ame, are truly exceptional. I've been to many weddings, and it's often difficult for food prepared for large groups to come out warm and flavorful--but they absolutely delivered. We had countless guests tell us it was the best wedding food they'd ever had. Everything was served warm and prepared perfectly. My husband, Jake, and I are so sad our wedding weekend is over. We wish we could relive it and work with this amazing team all over again!

We toured the venue over a year ago and knew immediately that this is where we wanted to get married. The Villa and views are stunning! It's is unlike any venue we've seen in California or Mexico. We planned the wedding from Northern California and the owner and planning team were extremely helpful from start to finish. They not only helped us plan the wedding, they helped us plan a wine tasting tour for 60 days the day before the wedding and a pot- wedding brunch for 120 guests. The Villa was big enough to house our immediate family & wedding party for the weekend. The wedding coordinator and staff took exceptional care for us the day of the wedding!

Las Gaviotas, located 42 kilometers south of the San Ysidro border crossing is one of the premier…read morecommunities in northern Baja. The entire perimeter is fenced in with a security guard at the entrance who keeps tabs on everyone in the complex. A 2 bedroom home can accommodate 4 guests, and they are strict about this. You will not be allowed to have additional guests even for a few hours, therefore it is very safe and private. I love the architecture which ranges from Mexican Baroque to traditional Spanish Colonial and the entire compound has cobblestone streets and cement walking paths. There are several little gardens of roses and other lovely flowers making this a great place to take walks and enjoy the scenery. The large pool/jacuzzi area has plenty of lounge chairs and shaded seating, a shuffleboard court, a gym, and a banquet room. There is also a large surfing beach with several sturdy palapas for all guests and owners to use. A visit to Las Gaviotas is certainly a treat. I love to relax, enjoy a good book followed by a leisurely walk, then swimming and a relaxing dinner when I visit.

If you have teenagers there's not too much to do for longer than 3 days. About 3 miles down you can rent atvs which we're a blast!!! We stayed in house 137- the only issues we had was a broken umbrella which wasn't a huge deal at all especially since it was pretty chilly during our stay and the showers are not ADA. I had to get into the shower and help my mom in as it's a tub with no way in except about 2 feet high and no rails to hold on to. We will definitely be back!!

Preservation great start to let our kids be aware even on vacations. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, spacious and a great open space kitchen. They place had us at the views and the host alone. A definite come back visit is a must. Although remote and private, perched on the hill, the accessibility was great to the tide pools, Bufadora town, grocery, kayak activities and restaurants were all walking distance. For an additional fee, there is a border to door service that is available and highly recommended from the host. Just ask the host and it made our travel hassle free and worry free. I stuffed the hole with a hand towel and slept with my airpods in but that was just inexcusable. Definitely hope to have better luck in the future, would be happy to try again. And yes this place is 1000% FAMILY friendly so if you dont like kiddos at play, stay away.

So only one room (the one with the electric heater) was nice and somewhat cozy. At some point it was warmer outside the house than inside of it. That may be good for summer but it was the worst for winter. Also the lock for the place did not work, so we had to leave it unlock when we left. Keep that in mind. Also there was a party somewhere near by that did not stop until 4:40ish am. We were exhausted the next day so it was not the best experience and we wont be back. The staff was friendly and welcoming though. I give them that much.

It's gated, clean and has both a private golf course and a hotel and restaurant in addition to homes. We really wanted to like this place, but the owners, who are mostly expat's, have their heads so far up their butts that this was by far, the WORST vacation we ever had. I have 4 little kids. Kids make noise. I got a notice to keep it quiet, during the day, like 11 am... Are you kidding me?! My kids had to stay in doors, with the windows closed until we left to go to the beach. Our place had no AC, so just imagine how hot it was... The next morning, some kids were yelling at the pool and others running around the neighborhood making noise. IDK if they got a notice or not, but this place is just BS. To top it off, on July 4th, there was a golf cart parade complete with American flags and glitter and, you guessed it, loud noise. Hey, I love the US and celebrating the 4th is in my blood. But don't put your retired, I'm better than you rules on tourists. The same tourists from your same home country. Come on...

He and his wife Antoinette obviously have love for family, water, and sharing their beautiful home in Mexico. Excellent directions to Las Gaviotas. It's been years since I've driven to Baja and I had a little difficulty navigating in TJ coming home. Great location! VERY SAFE! Security is tight and the guards are friendly. We took advantage of the great surf every day, sandy beach, volleyball, community pool, and hot tub. Met several people that live in the community. Super nice folks. Mark gave excellent recommendations for restaurants and things to do. We simply ran out of time to enjoy all that is offered. $8 taxi ride to Puerto Nuevo for lobster--a must. Good place to purchase a little something to remember your vacation. New restaurant across the street had excellent food and service, located next to the market. You can also get tacos, also next to the market. We brought most of our own food so we did not need to go anywhere unless we wanted to. Did not need to contact the English speaking housekeeper as we had no problems with the property. We will definitely be returning!!!
