We recently had our wedding at Villa del Paraiso, and it was truly magical. From the very first point of contact, the entire process was effortless and seamless. Tim, Ciara, and Ruth worked diligently to answer every one of our questions promptly and thoroughly. We had nearly a two-year engagement, and even though we booked the venue far in advance, the team consistently made us feel like a top priority every step of the way. The venue itself is breathtaking and spacious, allowing you to host not just a wedding day, but an entire wedding weekend your guests will remember. The team goes above and beyond to listen to your vision and thoughtfully incorporate every detail, making the experience even more beautiful and personalized. We would recommend this venue--and this incredible team--to anyone. We stayed from Friday to Monday (with a Saturday wedding). While a majority of our family, and bridal party stayed on site, we had plenty of others that stayed at htoels near by. Early on in the process, the Villa del Paraiso team recommended Vista Hermosa which worked perfectly as they provided shuttles to and from our venue throughout the weekend. Additionally, the food is amazing! Villa del Paraiso's chef, Jorge, and his wife, Ame, are truly exceptional. I've been to many weddings, and it's often difficult for food prepared for large groups to come out warm and flavorful--but they absolutely delivered. We had countless guests tell us it was the best wedding food they'd ever had. Everything was served warm and prepared perfectly. My husband, Jake, and I are so sad our wedding weekend is over. I got married at Villa del Paraiso this summer and cannot say enough great things about the planning experience and the wedding weekend! We toured the venue over a year ago and knew immediately that this is where we wanted to get married. The Villa and views are stunning! It's is unlike any venue we've seen in California or Mexico. We planned the wedding from Northern California and the owner and planning team were extremely helpful from start to finish. They not only helped us plan the wedding, they helped us plan a wine tasting tour for 60 days the day before the wedding and a pot- wedding brunch for 120 guests. It's a private resort you can easily pass by on the highway without knowing, but if you were to stop and take in the ambiance, you will be blown away. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They made sure to take care of the wedding party and all of their guests. The moment we drove past the main entrance gate we were shocked at the world we entered. Of course one thinks MX is not safe ect. but coming into this place you felt in your own oasis. I found this gem with LOTS of googling and I am blessed to have had my wedding here. Tim and Erika plus the many other people who keep up with the place do an EMMA-zing job. Tim is who you meet and deal with the house rental and Erika takes care of the event coordination. (IF you decide to throw an event, you don't have to.) We booked this place TWO YEARS in advance and of course the pandemic hit in 2020. Nobody would have suspected something like that would happen. Of course these led to very difficult times for us and them, while planning our wedding . However all of us were able to overcome any issues and luckily led to a very memorable week! We thank Tim for trusting us at the beginning to rent his beautiful estate. Everything is pretty straight forwarded and transparent from the beginning and they will work with your budget. However one has to be honest with themselves if you can afford it or not, in order to not waste their time. In which we completely agreed on especially because we look very young, but we knew our budget very well. I remember seeing another family the day we toured the house and saw how it didn't fit their budget. At the end of the day this is a business but I can honestly say we left feeling treated like a family after our event. We went from a 120 guest count to 30 people! Which shows the accommodation the house and staff brings for ANY TYPE of event. I almost forgot to mention, they do small updates to the house and overall maintain it very well. I was able to see some new furniture in the house! In regards to their vendors they have been working with all of them for a long time and have created trust worthy relationships, which speaks volumes. After attending a friends wedding at this venue/vacation rental I have to give this place two thumbs up. Unlike many venues in this area who have allowed their accommodations to become old and outdated, the owners of this establishment seem to have a keen interest on maintaining the look and aesthetic to a degree higher than its surrounding competitors. Upon entering through the gates you will find an extremely clean and very well kept lot with ample parking space for all of your event guests. The main house has a very modern ranch-style charm with a wonderfully large fireplace for those cold beachside nights and decadent furniture including real cowhide slinking stools surrounding an indoor bar. Outside of the main house on the patio is an infinity pool and jacuzzi overlooking the Pacific with fire pits located on the left and right side of the pool, and another outdoor bar with grill. Between the main house and the smaller guesthouses (which are not that small) there is a large green space for events which could easily accommodate over 300. That night the staff were very prompt and helpful to the point that you could not put down your drink before the waiter had another sitting in front of you. The best part of the venue is that unlike their contemporaries who usually shut down at midnight it wasn't until well after 4 am when the last guests had left and were heading on their way back to the less luxurious, but adequate accommodations awaiting them in Rosarito. The only issue I had with the place was the relatively difficult to see signage out in front making it easy for those of us who do not know what to look for to accidentally miss this place on the free road that goes to Ensenada. read more

BE PREPARED TO BE INSULTED IF YOU DON'T ACCEPT HIS QUOTE AS IS... I must admit the place is nice and I would've loved to have my wedding there. During our visit Mike appeared to be very pleasant and informative. He indicated not once but at least twice that our "event could be customized to however we wanted. We can work together, you can remove and add whatever you want after I send you the initial quote." We let him know that we did not want this big elaborate thing, we wanted it on the simpler side. My fiancé told him what he wanted as far as the tent. I even went as far as to ask him if he wanted to know what our budget was. He indicated he did not need to know. " I know exactly what you are looking for. Big family party. I got it. No, I don't need to know your budget." "Just send me pics of your ideas and I will send you a quote." Two days later I send him some pics and even indicate "small but vibrant center pieces." That evening I receive a quote, which I review with my fiancé. I then respond to Mike with those items I wanted to remove (some flowers for the ceremony, restructure the sweetheart table, cocktail hour waiters (not reception waiters), request to modify the elaborate tent set up he had (his quote nothing like my fiancé indicated) and change my guests from 80 to 60 (his base price was $20 per guest, but since my fiancé asked for special menu costs went up to $26.00) and then I had a few questions. Mike now begins to respond in bits and pieces, rather than compile one message and/or revised quote and perhaps indicating there were minimums in certain areas that had to be met. In his responses, he begins with "this is turning more into a dinner thing requires different structure"....we'll talk on phone tomorrow. Next day, no phone call but I receive a message that says, "sent you email" which includes comment "I didn't realize how scaled back you were going to be" and makes a comment about being "embarrassed" with the taco guy as far as amount (I never requested any changes to the taco guy) ends it with referring to "issues". At this point I'm already a bit offended and even wondering "WHAT ISSUSES?". Mind you I have responded to any of these messages. But he keeps going on with the jabs / insults. I then receive his email with the revised quote, upon reading the message he indicates, " I can see money is an issue", "rental cost is most like creating this pain" (he has no idea what my budget is and I never even mentioned ANYTHING about the rental costs) and indicates that I just want dinner and music under a tent. Wow! Again, I had not responded to anything other than what I asked to be removed and he has no idea what my budget is. FYI Mike, I am a County Employee and my fiancé works for the State so yes we could've certainly afforded it, I would just rather put my money somewhere else than in flowers and curtains! Word of Advice: DON'T ASSUME! read more
