A prime seafood restaurant? Yes!…read more We landed in Miami for a long getaway weekend and our room wasn't ready at the Kimpton Epic. We weren't dressed appropriately for the dining room but they were gracious enough to let us sit in the bar area and I'm so glad they did. First, service was impeccable. Everyone was kind and friendly and super helpful in sharing places to eat and things to do during our stay, especially Mickey, the GM. I started with the Spicy blackberry margarita and it was an excellent choice. It was the perfect blend of sweet with a touch of heat/spice at the end. It was so good that I had two during LUNCH! The King crab linguine caught my eye on the menu. I typically don't do pasta dishes because of the carbs but I couldn't resist today. And I'm so glad I did. The huge pieces of king crab were probably some of the best I've ever had. The capers added a nice touch. The linguine was cooked and seasoned to perfection. My husband loves Key lime pie. I didn't think we had room in our tummies to hold it but thankfully they have a petite version. That size was perfect. I'm not a fan of key lime pie because it's so dense and tart to me. That was until I had key lime pie at Truluck's! Their version is light and airy and not lip puckering tart. It was amazing. I think we are going to go back to this spot before we leave! It was just that good.

I had the filet mignon and shareable sides for the table; warm delicious bread, mash potatoes, broccolini, etc. The food was good, however, I was not "wowed" by the meal. Service of course was 10/10. Truluck's is an upscale restaurant and always deliver great service the moment you step in the restaurant. Parking is valet or good luck finding parking in the surrounding area.

Even…read morewith the place being completely packed, the service was top-notch--attentive, friendly, and surprisingly fast despite the crowd. The Food If you're craving snapper, look no further. It was incredibly fresh, perfectly fried, and full of flavor. Tuna Tacos: These were the star of the show--absolutely amazing! Conch Fritters: Delicious and seasoned just right. Baby Back Ribs: These were just okay; good, but they didn't quite hit the heights of the seafood. Drinks & Atmosphere The cocktails were fantastic and well-crafted. Beyond the food, the vibe is what really makes this place special. It's a very "pretty" location with great waterfront views, making it a perfect backdrop for a meal. It is also very family-friendly, so it's a great choice for bringing the whole crew along. Great seafood, excellent service, and a lovely atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit! My friend and I waited near the hostess stand for a bit and felt overlooked as everyone was understandably focused on the situation. A simple "hello, welcome, we'll be right with you" would have gone a long way. Having worked in hospitality for many years, I know things happen behind the scenes, but guest communication is so important. After a short wait, the manager stepped in, apologized, and got us seated, which I really appreciated. From that point on, the service was excellent. Everyone was attentive and helpful, and I especially want to shout out the food runner, who was personable and made a great impression. One thing that could have been handled better: our server took our drink order but never mentioned happy hour. When we later asked for the menu, we were told it was only available at the bar. Since I use a wheelchair for mobility, getting onto a bar stool would have been difficult, so I felt that a more accessible accommodation should have been offered. You'll see in my video I was the 4 top right next to the bar. That said, the food was good, and I still had a nice time with my friend. With just a little more attention to communication and accessibility, this could have been an even better experience.

Enter fresh Florida fisheries I popped in on Saturday morning and was immediately impressed how fresh all of the seafood looked and how organized it was basically you order at the counter. The staff is super knowledgeable and they will prep your fish for you however you like. Then they give you a number for your order when you pay, and then you wait for your number to be called. I knew I was looking for for tuna, and my eyes definitely wandered at the selection of fish! The person who helped me was super friendly, suggested the amount that I should be ordering for the party size and was able to clean the fish for me. I also thought that the price was super reasonable for fresh locally caught tuna it was 2499 a pound I got a little bit under 3 pounds for just around $70 and it was incredible. I will definitely be back to explore more of the seafood options that they have. Fish is something that I love to eat, but don't often buy from a grocery store because I get a little weirded out at the quality. Knowing that this is so close to my house with high-quality fish for a great price will make me a returning customer for sure. Parking is pretty chill and easy in their front lot and I'm sure you can park down the street if it's a really busy day. Will be back.

If so, I…read morewould have come at a time where I was hungry and for a mere five dollars had them prepare my meal for me. But that being said, I found it to be a very nice fish market. Now there is a huge downside that you immediately encounter when you arrive. The parking lot is exceptionally small and people are parked every which way, except in the spaces. Getting to the actual building will take some time. The neighboring lots have pretty clear signs that they will tell you if you park there. So you're stuck dealing with what it is. The fish variety is good, although not great. If you're looking for strictly local fish, you'll probably find what you want. Several varieties of snapper and the fish looked wonderful and fresh. Some of my favorites like hogfish and grouper. You can buy the whole fish and they'll fillet it for you or you can buy fillets if they have them of the fish that you want. But the part I missed is having them cook it for me. Now that is something I would like to try next time The downside is they strictly local fish. You won't find any flatfish and I was surprised that they did not have any U4 or U6 shrimp which I like to use to make paella. In addition, I did not see fresh scallops. They did have some nice lobster tails although I did not see other shellfish. Some people have said the prices are reasonable; I found them about 20 to 30% higher than other fish markets I visit. The people here are really nice in the market is attractive. I will be back as I said to get a meal cooked for me in part because it is closer than the fish markets I usually visit and also my curiosity after reading other reviews. I recommend this market if you have the patience to wait for a parking space. If you're looking for the larger shrimp for paella look elsewhere
