Ceviche mixto de pescado y camarón
    Sandy M.

The food was outstanding we enjoyed every bit of it. As soon as we opened the door we were greater and told to pick our seat. The menue was explained and best dishes recommended. As far as the ambiance goes it was relaxing and pleasant. Other bad reviews on yelp are incorrect I have been coming to this restaurant for years food and service has been consistent. I do recommend this restaurant to everyone.

I like the Ecuadorian food in this places, the encebollado de pescado is delicious, the exact amount of yuca and onion. Served hot and fresh. The service is prompt, and our waitress was very for friendly. The only think o don't like is the noise, epithet the hace the music to loud or a karaoke space for others to sing and it's todo loud.

I love me the food of my people, but I was sadly disappointed in not only that quality of the food, but also the service. Apparently they weren't sure if they would open, but they did for New Year's Day. The staff was rude and also looked overwhelmed but still we waited forever for our drinks, which included a cup of water. Also everything except for one plate was either cold, which makes me believe they took it out of the fridge and nuked it, or completely not cooked. For our main entrees half the table had to wait an additional 25 mins, basically everyone else was done with their meal, by the time we got our plates. It's almost as if they forgot about us. Overall I was disappointed and don't think I'd want to go back.

Love coming here for delicious and typical Ecuadorian food! From the moment you walk in you feel like family. You are seated right away and given time to make your decision from many options. If you are not sure of what you are ordering you can point and choose from the wall. Don't let the strip mall location fool you . It is as close to homemade great tasting food you will get!

Thanks Miami yelp! For helping this 1/2 Ecuadorian LA girl find this amazing Ecuadorian restaurant in Miami! The only thing that I know about Doral, is the fancy Doral country club and golf course. So when my GPS (Charlie) tells me to turn into a medical plaza, I think that he is off his rocker. "Charlie no!" says I in frustration. But sure enough, he was right. Again. You would never expect to find a great restaurant like this one, turning out savory, from-scratch Ecuadorian food here! Fast food-casual. Free mini-mall lot parking. I walk in standing on my tippy toes in excitement to try a new Ecuadorian restaurant. The Ecuadorian flag is everywhere. Ecuadorian soccer jerseys and kitchy Ecuadorian chotchkies are available for sale at the resister. The place is PACKED on the weekend. Filled up. Every table has a family. All smiling. How did they find this place?!! Do they also have a Charlie?!! Have they also made friends with the kind folks at Miami yelp who graciously steered them here?!! Who are all these people who found this gem, in the middle of nowhere, in the back of a medical plaza, on a street that you would never drive down. The only business totally invisible to you even if you were driving by. Even if you were in the plaza for other reasons, you would still probably miss this place. So how in the hell is it packed with people?!! And why are there only three yelp reviews?!! Ecuadorians, and all my Latin brothers and sisters, get on yelp! It is super fun! You are missing out! Plus, I am taking away all of the first-to-reviews from you. Like candy from a baby. Believe the hype on this one friends. I am an now an addict when it comes to writing reviews! You can be one too. Addicted to the narcotic pipe that is yelping. The walls are filled up with colorful pictures of the dishes served here along with specials and signs printed up via fliers, all strewn about. I came out with a fellow Ecuadorian. A local yelper who had not a Charlie nor the brilliance (no offense girl) *pats self on back* to seek out yelp's help for Ecuadorian restaurant advice. We are giggling like school girls, wanting to try everything. Everything sounds good on the HUGE menu of comidas tipicas Ecuatorianas. Traditional Ecuadorian food. -Written in and English and Spanish. Drinks. My friend ordered a naranjilla juice. They offer to mix your fruit juice with either milk or water here. She tried the milk. Naranjilla is a fragrant, tart, refreshing fruit that I do not imagine mixing perfectly with milk. It did not. Order this one with water friends. I ordered maracuya juice. (Passion fruit) The sexiest of all fruit, passion fruit smells like tropical perfume. It is very tart and exotic. (five stars) Much to my chagrin they were out of humitas (busy weekend!) so we ordered a bolon mixto and an empanada verde. I have read about the bolon many times in my favorite cook book in the world: "The South American Table" -Written by a woman, native to Ecuador, with beautiful stories woven throughout the book, alongside the tastes, travels and recipes of all of South America. I treasure this book. (most recipes are gluten free!) The bolon mixto is a ball of green plantain with stringy white cheese and chicharron in the middle. My friend did not love this dish. So I snagged the majority of it in trade for the majority of the empananda verde. My first bolon outside of Ecuador. Crunchy green plantain chunks with bubbling cheese center and the occasional extra crunch of extraordinary chicharron. (pork rinds) The Bolon mixto is not for vegetarians. The empanada verde (green plantain empanada) was filled with stringy white cheese, perfectly light and crispy on the outside. (five stars) In Central and South America empanadas are made with a variety of shells. Many, like the empanada verde, are wheat-free and gluten-free. For an entree we split the fritada. Garlic pork, sweet plantains, Andean popcorn, Andean corn and salad. I love this dish. This dish is like steak and potatoes to Americans. The pork was salty, sweet, and succulent. Carmel flavored , with onion, garlic and cumin. I do not love cumin, but it was neat to see a new spin on the classic Ecuadorian dish. The salad was lemony, with red onion and cilantro. The plantains were enormous, tangy and sweet. The Andean popcorn (choclo) was crunchy and savory. Like gluten free croutons! They soak up the tart lemon from the salad and taste even better. What a treat to find this place. My new favorite Ecuadorian restaurant in Miami! It had once been Barzola, now taken down a notch to pay homage to my new favorite. Thanks again Miami yelp!

A suprising little jewel I found while looking a round for a place to eat while on a lay over. The staff here understands some English so I had yo resort to some pointing and charades but the food was just oh so worth it, being both very affordable for the amount and quality I received and being just so delicious. I've never had Ecuadorian food before but if its all like this then I'm a fan! Though I do have to pint out that it seems like they add gratuity automatically to the bill, so be on the look out for that if you don't want to tip twice.

The few times I have eaten here the service and food was great. Excellent quality and the flavor excellent My favorite dish is the cazuela mixto. The Moro and skirt steak was delicious. The deep fried breaded corvina was also delicious. For now the plates I have tasted have been excellent. Although, I haven't tried the encebollado yet!

    Decepcion de bolon
    Fernanda A.

I ordered bolones for my no Ecuadorian coworkers. Was a shame! Please see the pictures. No words. Chupe mixto was good but I found only 1 shrimp. Fritada was good.

Enter fresh Florida fisheries I popped in on Saturday morning and was immediately impressed how fresh all of the seafood looked and how organized it was basically you order at the counter. The staff is super knowledgeable and they will prep your fish for you however you like. Then they give you a number for your order when you pay, and then you wait for your number to be called. I knew I was looking for for tuna, and my eyes definitely wandered at the selection of fish! The person who helped me was super friendly, suggested the amount that I should be ordering for the party size and was able to clean the fish for me. I also thought that the price was super reasonable for fresh locally caught tuna it was 2499 a pound I got a little bit under 3 pounds for just around $70 and it was incredible. I will definitely be back to explore more of the seafood options that they have. Fish is something that I love to eat, but don't often buy from a grocery store because I get a little weirded out at the quality. Knowing that this is so close to my house with high-quality fish for a great price will make me a returning customer for sure. Parking is pretty chill and easy in their front lot and I'm sure you can park down the street if it's a really busy day. Will be back.

If so, I…read morewould have come at a time where I was hungry and for a mere five dollars had them prepare my meal for me. But that being said, I found it to be a very nice fish market. Now there is a huge downside that you immediately encounter when you arrive. The parking lot is exceptionally small and people are parked every which way, except in the spaces. Getting to the actual building will take some time. The neighboring lots have pretty clear signs that they will tell you if you park there. So you're stuck dealing with what it is. The fish variety is good, although not great. If you're looking for strictly local fish, you'll probably find what you want. Several varieties of snapper and the fish looked wonderful and fresh. Some of my favorites like hogfish and grouper. You can buy the whole fish and they'll fillet it for you or you can buy fillets if they have them of the fish that you want. But the part I missed is having them cook it for me. Now that is something I would like to try next time The downside is they strictly local fish. You won't find any flatfish and I was surprised that they did not have any U4 or U6 shrimp which I like to use to make paella. In addition, I did not see fresh scallops. They did have some nice lobster tails although I did not see other shellfish. Some people have said the prices are reasonable; I found them about 20 to 30% higher than other fish markets I visit. The people here are really nice in the market is attractive. I will be back as I said to get a meal cooked for me in part because it is closer than the fish markets I usually visit and also my curiosity after reading other reviews. I recommend this market if you have the patience to wait for a parking space. If you're looking for the larger shrimp for paella look elsewhere

The reservation process was easy, when I called to ask about the corkage fee ($25), they answered quickly and directly. Upon arrival, we were seated in the adjacent room since the main dining area was full, but the secondary room was comfortable and quiet, with only one other table in use. Our server was extremely friendly, offered thoughtful recommendations, and gave us plenty of space to enjoy our food and wine. Their wine glasses are excellent, and everyone we interacted with was warm and welcoming. We started with the Ossobuco Croquettes, truly some of the best we've ever had. For the main course, we ordered the special of the day: an apple wood short rib braised for eight hours, served with risotto and a Caesar salad. The combination was phenomenal. The short rib was incredibly rich, generously portioned, easily enough for two, and we still took a quarter of it home. To finish, we had a honey ice cream with pear tartar that was absolutely off the charts. We had an incredible experience overall. We also met Williams, one of the chef owners, and we're already planning to bring my CWG (Couple Wine Group) back for a blind tasting paired with their fantastic food.

My only complaint was that the lighting was way too bright but I am guessing for dinner the lighting is more dim and cozy. It is a Mediterranean restaurant so the decor had lots of blues and whites and wood and it all worked. Our server had an emergency and she had to quickly leave but the young man who took over, Wazhun, could not have been kinder. Our food was delicious and nicely prepared. We had the short rib empanadas and they were bursting with a well seasoned and juicy short rib filling. We also ordered the Roasted Cauliflower au gratin and omg was that amazing. Perfectly roasted and tender cauliflower in a creamy, goat cheese sauce but it didn't taste too goat cheesey. The sauce was more creamy with the perfect amount of cheese - amazing. Very delicious. My mom had the lasagna, which had bechamel and bolognese and she was raving about it for days. My sister had the pumpkin ravioli. The raviolis were cooked perfectly and had some crispy prosciutto on top. The delicate sauce was creamy and decadent but not heavy. Naughty but worth every bite. My husband had the lentil and quinoa salad and I never thought I would like those grains together but the lemony dressing and the addition of feta and sun dried tomatoes made a dish that is s very healthy also taste really great. I had the butternut squash salad with salmon and I didn't realize how much I liked it until I stopped to take a sip of my wine and the salad was almost gone. The salmon was a generous portion, cooked perfectly and was on the side. The squash was sweet, sliced into thin rounds and presented almost like carpaccio with arugula and goat cheese on top and the maple dressing tied it all together. We also ordered a delicious, crisp, and earthy bottle of Sicilian wine and finished off our meal with a creamy, hazelnut tiramisu. All in all a fantastic meal and we will be back.
