We came by this spot after an afternoon walk through one of Vista's nature trails. My wife spotted the taco Tuesday specials sign and we made a point to visit on the way back. It was pretty quiet when we arrived and we were seated right way. The waitress was very friendly and attentive and brought us chips with salsa and warn queso to enjoy as we waited for our drinks. We ordered some tacos a la carte to take advantage of the Tuesday special and a plate of Quesabirria tacos with rice and beans. To drink we ordered a Mango margarita and a Modelo Negra. Everything was very fresh and flavorful and the price made a great deal. We also shared a slice of flan for dessert. It was a nice treat. We just discovered La Casa de Marisco last week when we were driving by and picked up some Tortas to go, they were so good but what first impressed us was how friendly and welcoming the owner is. We returned for brunch today and were absolutely blown away on the quality the ambience and how clean the restaurant is. We will definitely be back for dinner and drinks soon! read more

Good food and cold beer and I love the beautiful girls and the music and the service is amazing

I had been craving seafood for a while now and stumbled upon this place on yelp and Google Maps. Upon looking at the food and reading reviews I decided to give this restaurant a try last night. I usually feel anxious when dining at a restaurant because that's how I've always been. This restaurant and their workers were very very kind and attentive to my family. I ordered a michelada and it was very delicious!!! So cold and crispy with a hint of spiciness !! The food arrived and the portions were perfect-- honestly everything about the food was delicious and presentable. The bathrooms were very clean too and so was the dining room. Finally! An amazing, fresh, friendly Mexican restaurant that Vista truly needed! The environment is inviting and very clean. From the start, the salsa was incredibly flavorful and tasted freshly made -- and they even brought out complimentary queso. The Michelada was hands-down the best we've had in town. The dishes are packed with flavor, beautifully presented, and come in generous portions. They definitely don't skimp on the seafood or the meat. If we had one suggestion for improvement, it would be to turn the music down a few notches. Otherwise, this place is a fantastic addition to Vista and we'll definitely be back! read more

Was very disappointed with food here. Orders a shrimp taco and it only had 3 shrimps with a stack of veggies. The shrimp tostada was horrible! 3/4 of it was veggies. The tostada de camarón had bell peppers! We ordered a guacamole which didn't even have tomatoes and had excessive onions. Overall wouldn't recommend The server was not great! Took forever to get our order then, had to repeat our order multiple times to get. Even after that she brought us a plate that did not belong to us and got the drink ordered wrong. I've ordered the same dish for this restuarant before. Unfortunately, this time it was unexpectedly too spicy for me to eat so I sent it back. Rather than ordering something else and waiting, I ended up sharing my husband's meal. When the check arrived, I noticed it was still included, so I politely mentioned it to our server, who was kind and understanding. She apologized and went to speak with someone in the back. What happened next truly shocked me. A woman -- who I assume is the manager -- came out and, rather than approaching the situation calmly or with curiosity, immediately became confrontational. She abruptly told me they wouldn't be removing the item, with an intensity that felt aggressive and unnecessarily hostile. I tried to explain that I'd ordered and eaten the same dish just last week with no issue, but she repeatedly interrupted me and dismissed my concern, essentially blaming me for not liking the food. She continued to berate me in front of other customers, my husband, and her staff, making the situation incredibly uncomfortable and humiliating. I eventually left the restaurant in tears, completely shaken by how I had been treated. Even as I write this, I'm still trying to process what happened. I've never experienced such unprofessionalism in a restaurant. My heart goes out to the server, who handled everything with grace and kindness. I genuinely hope she isn't subjected to the same treatment behind the scenes. Sadly, I won't be returning. read more

This place is new and getting its bearings. I had the Torta and it was good. The waiter are learning the menu so have patience but they are sweet people. You can tell they put care into the atmosphere and love having booths. They have house made tortillas that are a 10/10. Ask for extra salsa, the red one is so good! read more

My partner suggested we go here because a couple weeks ago, she ordered aguachile and really enjoyed it here. So we went today after work, and I ordered a chimichanga and she ordered aguachile again. After trying the aguachile, we both decided it was much too spicy and sent it back. No worries, the chimichanga was large enough for the both of us. However, when we requested that the aguachile be comped, our waitress went and got her superior. When her superior came, I'm not sure if it was a manager, the owner, or the cook, she very forcefully continued to tell my partner that the aguachile is perfect as is, and if it was too spicy for her, that it wasn't their problem. My partner pointed out the fact that she had been here before and enjoyed the aguachile, but this time it was inedible. Yes, they ended up comping the aguachile, but not after a heated argument that made both of us uncomfortable enough to not wish to return here again, at least under this current management / ownership. I really didn't care much about whether the aguachile was comped, I was willing to pay its cost to get out the door faster. I totally understand wanting to push back on comping a dish, and if the conversation had proceeded calmly and reasonably we probably would have dropped the issue. Instead, the bigger issue is that the way we were treated keeps us from returning on a future day that the aguachile would've been just how my partner would've loved it. read more

We went for my husband's birthday and I saw the waiter asking the owner if she wanted to join them to sing the happy birthday and she said no she was just sitting in the table starting all mad. We came to eat here for Mother's Day and, unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. Throughout our meal, we had three different servers, and although each of them was very polite, they repeatedly forgot parts of our order. The food also didn't meet our expectations -- the shrimp, in particular, had a chewy texture, which made it clear it wasn't fresh. To make matters worse, it was one of the hottest days in North Country (around 90 degrees), and the AC was not turned on. You could tell how warm it was just by looking at the staff, who were visibly sweating and flushed. While everyone we interacted with was kind and courteous, the service and overall experience didn't align with that same warmth. We hope they're able to improve in the future, as the staff clearly care, but execution matters. read more

A pleasant surprise hidden off Vista Way...bright and airy and an extensive seafood menu. The waitress was sweet, the owner, her mother. Daughter needs practice in English but very attentive and trying hard. The food was very good, a lunch of fresh fish tacos, burritos and sandwiches all made to order so be prepared to wait. We were there for lunch, and the daughter also serviced a lone patron at the bar. I read the variety of reviews and hope the unpleasant service mentioned is now a thing of the past. the customer is always right! read more

This restaurant shows promise, mainly for the seafood and variety. The Service was too slow. Carnitas tacos had a really nice flavor, but a bit dry. They need to fine tune the menu- (the Shrimp Taco i ordered was really more like a Tostada.) The Octopus Tostada had too much cucumber.
