Very instagram worthy! I heard that they get new owners and did a complete remodel. Be prepared to wait if you have a a big group. With just us two we were seated right away. Very busy for a small town! But the drinks were fantastic and looked so beautiful. The food was tasty and arrived quickly.

The food was amazing and so was the ambiance. The service was quick, and although the waitress didn't come back very often, to ask if we needed anything or refill's, we were completely understanding .It's so new that they might be short staffed. Either way, the food was so fantastic, we can't wait to go back! The parking isn't great if you have a trailer or a boat behind you coming off the lake, but we did park across the street at the church as it wasn't a Sunday.

My sister and I and my twins and niece tried this place after visiting the alpacas . Best decision ever. We went at a random time so the resturant was not crowded. They completely set up the table ( chips, water, kids water, silverware etc.) Before seating us. The ambiance in this place is magical. My sister and I kept saying how amazing it would be to have a girls night or margaritas here before an event. They thought of everything when decorating this place! I mean for all those Instagram influences would LOVE the decor. Everywhere you looked there is some photo op. Even the salt and pepper shakers are amazing. I had a passion fruit margarita which was sweet but after 2 I felt it! We ordered food too which came promptly and was delicious. The portion sizes are huge and we took boxes home. The waitress was the absolute sweetest and was so good with the kids too! And when the bill came it was totally affordable. Definitely will be back!

Absolutely amazing! The ambiance is perfection, so much attention to detail! We loved the music, the lighting, the custom tables, the plants - it was gorgeous. Only feedback here is to cushion the booths, they were pretty uncomfortable, so we moved to the bar after we ate. The food was divine! I got the special of the evening, which was spicy shrimp tacos with peach salsa. The presentation was stunning, and the flavors were incredible. My husband got the mole burrito and the mole was the best we ever had, and that's saying a lot since my husband is from Tucson. For dessert we had the churros and they were just right. Our server was nice, she was pretty quiet. We enjoyed chatting with the bartender when we moved over to the bar. Overall, it was a perfect date night for our wedding anniversary. We live on the north side of Bend, it took 20 minutes for us to get there. Don't let the distance keep you away from this new gem! Highly recommend.

Great food, amazing drinks and fun ambiance! Our party of 6 was pleased with each of our meals. Ordered the Chile relleno and it was so good. Carne asada plate was cooked perfectly and beans and rice were yummy and the chingarito was excellent! Definitely worth the visit and we will be back for sure!

This place is beautiful. Atmosphere was 10/10. We waited for an hour because we had a party of 6. That's fine being first weekend and all. We were hungry. We got chips and runny salsa to begin with and those were not impressive. We ordered 3 appetizers. Two of the queso and one of the elote were FANTASTIC. I would definitely go back for drinks and Appetizers. It was a bit annoying to have to wait for more chips when our appetizers said they came with them. Only charged for one extra bowl... but felt like $12 appetizers should include more chips like it says on the menu. If you like fruity and sugary drinks the peach ring hit the spot. Old looking Glasses and tableware were great looking. Everyone liked their drinks. Also the tables with glitter are very cool. Dinner across the board was okay. We tried the carne asada plate which came out lukewarm. We tried the monstros burrito... huge in size but left something to be desired. Inside the burrito black beans were overdone and clumpy and the sauce tasted like tomato soup gone wrong poured over it. The closest thing on the menu to a Mexican pizza was the pineapple and jalepeno concoction... which had fantastic flavor for about 5 bites then it was too much. My casa verde bowl was just dissatisfying. My back beans were a clump as well, there was no corn to speak of (I changed to this after trying the elote) but the shedded chicken was so small and the sauce was absorbed by the rice, I loved the guacamole on top. The only person who liked her meal was the one with the carne asado tacos. The server struggled trying to split up our bill so we all paid what was close to our bills. All in all I would say I might give it one more try? But at first glance it has some improvement needed. I hope the menu gets a few more options.... Because I would struggle to order with the choices we had.

The food was amazing. Well presented. Drinks are great as well. Service was great as well. Very friendly. Love the lighting and the decorative interior. Great Ambiance

This place was very busy when we got there! We had to park a ways away. When we made it inside we had to wait a bit before they were able to put our name on the waitlist. It only took about 10-15 minutes for them to seat us. Everyone was friendly and it was fun seeing how they designed the restaurant. Chips and salsa were pretty standard. The ube cocktail was pricey, but delicious! One of the best cocktails I've ever had. It's on the sweet side. I got the carne asada and thought the meat was pretty average, but the beans and rice were a surprisingly delicious addition to the dish.

We went during happy hour and got the fresh oysters, the pork belly, the albacore tataki, pork belly sliders, the Cuban, and the burger. We walked in to find a mostly empty restaurant (2 other tables seated). The atmosphere felt more like it was suited for a nice dinner date than a casual lunch but whatever - they're open for lunch. When I asked a friend about it later, he said he and his wife go there for dinner but had never been at lunch time. My buddy ordered the Grinder (essentially an Italian) and I ordered the Beef Sando (essentially their take on a French Dip). My buddy, who self-admittedly doesn't like focaccia, said the bread was awesome and sando in general really good. We both really enjoyed the fries, that were well seasoned in a savory and slightly sweet dusting. The abundance of fries was well appreciated as well. The beef sando was tasty and also a good portion. My only complaint was the thinly shaved beef was laid flat in layers instead of mounded on the sandwich (see pic). I hesitate to even say this, but it felt like I was eating Steak-umm. In general, the meal was good and filling. The service was good and value for price felt good.

He sweats and pushes us to order and eat fast, doing that waiter thing when they pretend they are not rushing you. "Just checking if you need that plate taken away." Not fooling anyone. Brusque to my brother who is into fine wines and requested tastes of some by-the-glass wines before committing to a glass or a bottle. My wife stated she is uncomfortable around the server. We don't go to the Open Door much now. Old review. A real romantic spot. Great drinks. My wife loves it. Sitting outside is best but the bar is good too. Some nights they put tables in the art gallery out front and you sit around the paintings and jewelry, kind of fun. There used to be a waitress named Kristen or Kirsten, a lady with long hair and clogs, the best server I've ever had and I don't just mean in Central Oregon. The Open Door is the probably the best dining experience in Sisters. Living in Tumalo and working throughout Oregon, I go to Sisters often. Unfortunately Sisters isn't a great town for food. The Open Door has some very-good food, and some pretty-good food. You never know which it's going to be. The halibut, meatballs, and lasagnas are solid. Berries and cream dessert is great. The menu doesn't change much over the years. If my wife didn't love it I wouldn't go back so often. Get bored eating the same dishes over and over. When my brother and his grown kids visit they like the atmosphere, especially those small houses outside with the plants. However they have trouble finding a selection that works for their way of eating, allergies, one is vegan and one is lactose intolerant.

The vibe was peaceful and inviting, making it the perfect spot to unwind. Service was attentive, though a bit on the slower side, we waited almost an hour for the main course. They do have a kitchen break between 3:30-4:30 PM, and I'd recommend making a reservation if you're planning to visit during peak hours. The food was fresh, flavorful, and creatively presented--it's clear the chef enjoys experimenting with unique flavor combinations. My husband tried the seafood lasagna, which was a tasty and satisfying treat. The scallops dish was also delicious, though slightly too salty for my taste and quite light--it came with a small amount of polenta and a vegetable purée, so I found myself a bit hungry afterward. Many people around us were ordering pasta, and it looked fantastic--definitely something I'd love to try next time. Overall, a beautiful place with great food and a memorable atmosphere. Highly recommend!
