This is a jewel of a place and almost didn't write a review as would like to keep it private, however that wouldn't be fair to do so. Had lunch here on Thursday, April 11. I had the Chicken Fajitas and my wife had Pollo(chicken) and veggies. Portions of both dishes were very large. The service was instant and the server very pleasant. Our waiter brought complimentary chips and salsa with him on his first trip to the table. I ordered a Michelob Ultra on draft, and it was HUGE. Must be a quart of beer. Regular price is 4.25 but Thursday's offer a a Draft Beer Night so the price was reduced to 2.25...incredibly low, even though could only drink about 1/2 of it. Might suggest the pint size vs the "Grande". My wife had a glass of Pinot Grigio and it was a very full glass for 5.50. The food is fresh and very tasty, with generous portions. In summary, Service is 5 Star Food is 5 Star Ambiance is adequate as it is very clean although a little small. Value is definitely 5 Star. Recommend to all who love Mexican Food and will definitely go back on a regular basis. read more

Enjoyed this restaurant and location so much we visited it twice in two days. Excellent burritos and tacos. You can make a meal out of the Queso Fundido. My wife and I easily shared the Burrito Gringo. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meals. The regular margaritas were good but nothing special. The wait staff works hard and is very friendly. Small interior and can get crowded which can be a concern these days. read more

This used to be my favorite go to place in Ellijay. Since they opened the second location, I just feel like the food is not the same. Tried the new location today and the food was so salty it was borderline inedible. Plus the portions and the price just didn't feel right. Certainly have lost my love for this place. Hope they figure it out and get back to the consistency of when they had one restaurant versus two. read more

Went here while vacationing in Georgia. Seriously some of the best food I've had. Service staff was very nice and also very quick even with my group of 15. Food was very authentic. Really surprised! I'm from Texas, and we invented "Tex-Mex"! I couldn't really pin this place down. The salsa for the chips was on the mild side. The queso dip for the chips was silky and the chips were really good. Meal time: I ordered the Philly Cheese Burrito. It was HUGE! and it was really, really good. I haven't ever posted a review of a restaurant, but I am now. My wife and I both had Rice De Casa. It was a call in order and it was excellent. They don't skimp on the ingredients. Plenty to eat, fairly priced, great food. The people were very friendly. If I ever come back to Elijay, I will go to La Catrina again read more

The best Spanish food in Ellijay. I won't go anywhere else. One of my favorites is the carnitas. The best I've had from Atlanta to Ellijay so far. Second favorite but no less good is the trio fajitas. If you really want to make it extra good, ask the waitress to include the pork. Now that's a beautiful thing to behold!!!!!!!! you'll be taking home some food for a late night snack for sure. The chips and salsa are top notch. I hate super thin chips when I get chips and salsa. Great place! Shrimp tacos that I ordered were amazing: there was a decent amount of shrimp, ripe avocados, and good salsa. The other two people in my party ordered carnitas with tomatillo sauce and were very pleased with them too. read more
