Empanadas case- freshly made but not cooked

These empanadas were incredible! The green salsa was really good, it had a really nice kick and tasted amazing. I had gotten the Florentina- Mexican style and it had a lot of flavors, you can taste the spinach, the cheese was so stringy, and the chicken was excellent. We had the option to either have them air-fried or deep fried, the air fryer did not disappoint. If you would like to see photos of them, go check out Sonia Palacios Review. We went around 1:30 on a Sunday, and it was very peaceful. It was very relaxing because as you're waiting for your food you feel as if you can actually talk and have fun and even play games. We played a card game while we waited and it didn't take that long either. The man, which I assume is the owner or the cashier was very polite and patient. I hope my review brings more business to them. Overall, I am most definitely coming back here, 100%. Thank you.

Normally I go to places to try their food, drinks, etc. it was a bit different today to be visited by this place. I mean they came to my business. Closed, they are, due to COVID. Instead of quitting. They hit the streets to bring their product to customers. So of course I'll support. You have to appreciate the grind. Not only that. THESE EMPANADAS are FIYARRR!! Tried the shrimp empanada - amaze balls!! Tried the shredded chicken empanada - amaze balls. They also have beef, shredded beef, chicken fajita, bean and cheese, spinach and cheese, pastor, barbacoa, potato and chorizo, and a few more I forgot. Served hot and they are traveling from place to place. They asked if they should come back throughout the week. Well hell yes you should. I would feel disrespected if you didn't. JK but not really. They charge 3.00 per empanada. Contact info in my photos. Hit them up. Dooooo it!!! Thanks y'all. Ps the green salsa is SPICY. The chipotle salsa is TASTY and compliments the empanada perfectly.

The tacos al pastor are by far the best in San Antonio, it's BYOB and the Hookah is amazing. Definitely coning back!

Oh my word. You have to try the pizza empanadas or the beef ones with olives. They are homemade and sell out fast.

Absolutely delicious!…read more I've been to EDA once before and have been craving their empanadas ever since! Much like last time, there seemed to be only one person running the shop, the place was sparkling clean (including the restrooms), and there was ample seating in the dining area. The music was a little too loud, especially so in the bathroom, but otherwise the café was so nice. The menu is chock-full of delicious sounding dishes and boba drinks, but I opted for two of their ready to go empanadas. I had the Beef & Cheese, and the Chicken Salteña Empanadas. Both were super yummy and neither the beef nor chicken was dry inside. The fillings were savory, the Beef & Cheese amazingly creamy, and the Chicken Salteña a good blend of spices. The raisins in the Salteña did throw me off for a moment as I didn't think they worked all too well with the rest of the texture of the filling, but it didn't detract too much from the empanada. The dipping sauce that they came with was so tasty and flavorful as well! I was only able to finish half of each empanada because they were so big, but the server was kind enough to give me extra sauce with my to-go box. It added another layer of tastiness to the experience! EDA is a little out of the way for me so I'm not able to go as much as I'd like, but I know I'll be stopping in to snag an empanada or a boba tea when I'm in the area. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try!

The Royal Pasty serves up baked empanadas, not fried. The empanadas are large and stuffed with a variety of different fillings. There's a long list of about ten different empanada filling options. They even have combo boxes in multiples of threes where you can save by mixing and matching empanadas! My favorite was the beef ones, the crust was flaky and soft. They have a professional empanada press where they imprint the empanada filling type on the crust with a two-letter code so you know what you're about to get into. The sauces were delicious! They offer a type of chimichurri sauce that's incredible, and a spicy version that's not too spicy at all. The empanada flavors were more imaginative than the empanada stands you typically see- a pulled pork option, bacon and eggs for a breakfast empanada, beef and cheese- there's much more than the typical ham and cheese and beef. The best option- triple cheese! Nom. This ghost kitchen is only for pickup. No dining in. You have to show up with a cell phone to let a computer know who you are, and once you scan your notification, a locker door pops open, and you retrieve your food.

I saw this restaurant across the street while stopped at a red light on the way home from my doctor…read moreappointment. It is the #2 location on Culebra Road. My son and I both like Colombian food based on visits to a competitor that we have gone to many times closer to our house. When I mentioned this place to him, he said we should try it out soon. Today was the day. The first thing I noticed was the size of the dining room. It was roomy with several tables that were appropriately spread out. The decor is attractive with eye catching art painted on the white walls. The tables all have a splash of color on them, as well. Altogether is creates a bright and cheery atmosphere. We were very comfortable. I also noticed that the one television on the far wall was showing Univision and the music being played was in Spanish. I really like the music of a restaurant to reflect the nationality of the cuisine. Our server was an extremely helpful young man. He helped us with the menu. Unlike what is stated in other reviews, the food is described in english. Unfortunately, there are some items that don't translate. Those are the ones I needed help with. We both ended up ordering the same thing. It was lengua in a delicious tomato sauce served with french fries, avocado slices, white rice, salad, and a fried plantain patty. The amount of food on the plates was absolutely outrageous, but we managed to get pretty danged close to clean plates. The flavors were really nice. There was a huge squeeze bottle of Salsa Colombiana (I think that's what he called it) and another with Salsa tartara, the Columbian version of tartar sauce. It was amazing. It was creamy and savory without that sweet pickle taste American folk put on seafood. For drinks, I had a jugo de pina. My son had one made with passion fruit. I heard them being made fresh in the kitchen. They blended the fresh fruit with some water or milk and ice. Mine was really refreshing. It was served in those giant iced tea glasses some places use. There was a lady and her son at another table. I listened as they ordered in Spanish. They asked almost the same questions as we did, so being fluent in Spanish must not mean you would understand the Colombia specific food vocabulary. As we were paying our bill, the lady was pointing to everything on her plate asking "What is this?" in Spanish. I found that a little humorous, as the explanations when ordering were pretty good. My son and I had not problems recognizing the foods on our plate based on what we had heard. On our way home, we passed by the Bandera location. My son pointed it out to me. I don't remember ever seeing it there, but my son says he knew about it. That made me wonder why we frequented the competitor on Tezel where we like the food, but felt uncomfortable being packed in so close in the tiny dining room. In the truck, my son was already telling me what he planned to eat next time. There will definitely be a next time. I need to try their arepas and empanadas, as well as some other jugos.
