We stopped by today. It's such a quite restaurant, very friendly. We ate and played cards. We had 3 different type of empanadas - Aztec and Florentina, and Guava. They fried. It was very fresh. The green sauce was nice and spicy. We also had 2 different drinks cold and hot. Love that they are starting a farmers market in front of the restaurant on Sundays. read more

These empanadas were incredible! The green salsa was really good, it had a really nice kick and tasted amazing. I had gotten the Florentina- Mexican style and it had a lot of flavors, you can taste the spinach, the cheese was so stringy, and the chicken was excellent. We went around 1:30 on a Sunday, and it was very peaceful. It was very relaxing because as you're waiting for your food you feel as if you can actually talk and have fun and even play games. This is a hole in the wall that makes excellent empanadas. We used to get them all the time through delivery, but then they changed things and came out with their own app. Went to pickup at their brick and mortar location for the first time after the World Cup Final and was impressed, although the door was a bit stuck - I had to keep letting people in because they couldn't open it. The Spinach and Azteca empanadas are wonderful. The Caprese works great with the chimichuri. The one problem - other than being far away - is their stock. After my order, they only had four empanadas left, and this was right in the middle of lunch time. Great empanadas - just be ready for them to run out. read more

They also have beef, shredded beef, chicken fajita, bean and cheese, spinach and cheese, pastor, barbacoa, potato and chorizo, and a few more I forgot. Served hot and they are traveling from place to place. They asked if they should come back throughout the week. Well hell yes you should. I would feel disrespected if you didn't. JK but not really. My mom and I ordered from here for the first time last Saturday. OMG are they good!!! They are working remote right now so you order and they'll bring you your order in the parking lot at Ruthie's at the corner of Patricia and West Ave. We ordered 1 beef, 1 chicken, 1 spinach and cheese and 1 blueberry. I have been on a search for the best empanadas in SA. Coming from Houston, I've always been obsessed with Marini's Empanadas. I know SA is more known for their authentic Mexican cuisine or Tex-Mex but I was hoping that there would be more Argentinean influence here too. I've tried Fat Tummy's, and various empanadas at other restaurants in SA, but La Che is by far, the best in the city. They are crispy, super savory, and leaves your taste buds wanting more. Each empanada ranges between $3 - $4.50~ which is not bad. I tried the spinach + cheese, al pastor + cheese, and the ground beef empanada. Each of them were unique and delicious. The spinach + cheese might have been my favorite, but I can't decide because the ground beef had a nice spicy kick to it. I doused my crispy empanadas into their special green sauce, which has a little bit of heat. I nearly demolished it in seconds. Although these are amazing, they're not the best I ever had. Every year we do Friendsgiving with a theme. This past one was Latin foods. But of course with no time to make a dish or even look into one that I could find all the ingredients. I came upon La Che Empanadas & thought this is perfect! I love Argentinian empanadas & hadn't had any in a while. I called and they were very helpful with explaining their menu. I was able to order a week in advance since it was some what of a big order. The day I went to pick up, I was very surprised that: 1: it was literally a while in the wall place. 2: it was packed! I didn't have to wait long but the time I was there waiting, I noticed the live this family put into their restaurant. You could tell it was a family owned place & that they had poured their heart & soul into this dream that became a reality for them. I'm telling you this lace is not very big, but there was a lot of people with their families eating. You could hear the chatter & laughter from the dining area. Once they had my large order ready they even gave me instructions on how to heat up the empanadas, to make sure we got to enjoy them properly. Needless to say everyone enjoyed them! Viva La Che! This Argentine hookah bar is a crazy mashup, and they're doing great things! This place is a small restaurant along San Pedro. They have an extensive menu of Argentinian foods- with about a dozen different styles of empanadas! They have an empanada special every day of the week. The empanadas were norteno style, the north of Argentina. The empanadas were fried. I also got a choripan, which is a sausage butterflied, served on a crisp roll. The sauces served up were spicy and delicious. The green was my favorite- hot and creamy. It wasn't quite chimmichurri, but a creamy delicious blends of peppers and herbs. The menu is pretty extensively Argentine food! They've got a pile of parilla meats large enough for a family that I'm drooling over. I didn't try the hookahs. They've got an outdoor lounge so the smoking code isn't violated. The staff was very helpful. The owner is really from Argentina, and knows her stuff! It's family run! The food was all delicious, and I can't wait to try the other Argentinian foods that they have to offer! I'll be back! read more

Scrumptious! I had the chicken and the beef and potato empanadas. So well made. Crisp but not greasy. You can also have them air fried. I ordered ahead on the website. It's next to the Bijou Theater in the Wonderland Mall. I was almost discouraged when I saw it was in the mall. I used the Bijou entrance. Very easy. Well worth the drive. I have been craving a guava empanadas for months. Every bakery that I have gone to has been out of them. So the craving continued. Today I had some free time so I decided to look for some empanadas. I was in the medical center and checked Yelp, low and behold Le Che popped up and was nearby. I checked out their reviews and website and I was intrigued. I placed my order through their website which was quite handy and easy to use. I wanted a variety so I ordered a Pastor and cheese, guava and cream cheese, and apple. They are located inside the Crossroads Mall food court next to a Greek spot. When I arrived I was greeted by the friendly cashier and my order was ready to go. They smelled great but I held back the urge to try one in the car. When I got home I decided to try the Pastor and cheese since it was lunch time. It was delicious, full of flavor and a perfectly flaky crust. They fit a lot of filling in those empanadas. I could hardly wait for after dinner to try the guava empanada. It was so good. My craving was finally satisfied!! I will definitely be ordering from here again. I promised myself I will eat the apple one tomorrow but it may not make it that long. I came when they were about to close and they still served me like I was their first customer. The empanadas were amazing! The pastry crust was so yummy! I also got some coffee and it was super tasty. I got a sample of the delta-8 caramel soft chew that I put in the coffee.
