There is a great menu to Pick from including the recent addition of a salad bar. As you wait to order, there are some things to look at from local sellers and buy. Going into the seating area, there tables and some little nooks to meet a friend or work from. It's a place you can find the hours pass. The only downside is side is the lack of a sign at the front entrance that the owner is feverishly trying to get approval on. It's a bit disheartening to see a small business owner have to wait to have something approved that would increase their visibility and have their business grow. I am not sure what official dept in Bastrop that takes care of it, but they need to do it for this great little place to be more noticeable. They also hold special events here too.

Imagine this: Steak fries, covered in a cheese sauce, with dill, capers, sour cream, and salmon. Holy crap. I availed myself of the Parthian Chicken Legs, which IMHO might be the best meat-type deal at Sherwood. Two chicken legs for $6, and the spices used are a recipe from 950 AD. A recipe for Parthian Chicken can be found on YouTube on Tasting History with Max Miller. The Parthian Chicken was amazing, and I also tried a bit of their Samosas - potato and yellow curry. Tasty, spicy, but I couldn't eat too much of it due to the 'Beetus. But I did try it and found it awesome. Carlie Godbee had their rice pudding, and pronounced it quite good. All of these dishes, and there are more on the menu, are inspired by dishes found across the Silk Road to China. Now, I'm not knocking Turkey Legs, and I'm not knocking the other foods you can find around Sherwood - Steak on a Stick, Ogre Toes, Chicken Paprikash, so many options.
