My favorites include the Lengua (beef tongue), Oreja (pig ear), and Camaron (shrimp). The Al Pastor and Carnitas are great too. All their tacos are always filled to the brim, which is appreciated. I do like their freshly made Guacamole and the Seafood Soup too. However, not a big fan of their cemitas or fluetas. Regardless, most of the food is quite excellent. Open early and close late, this has been a staple in my Mexican diet over the years in the Jackson Heights area. The decor is festive and the service is always friendly. I will continue to visit this Mexican restaurants for my taco fix.

Due to timing I decided to go with the adobo fish, which was already prepared. Sending appreciation to the staff member who made me a well stuffed burrito. They added sour cream to the top of the bowl and it came with a side of salsa verde which I thought was a nice touch. We also ordered some bags of tortilla chips to share - these were my favorite kind as they were semi-thick and super crunchy. Overall, I had a solid experience at Cinco de Mayo. Depending on your particular tastes, electric burrito is either the best or second best burrito in lower manhattan. If you, like me, ride or die for a perfect mission style Baja fish burrito then summer salt is what you're looking for. If not, electric does just about everything right. They do a better California burrito than summer salt and the orange hot sauce is fire, both literally and in the metaphorical sense. It has some real heat to it but you just keep going back. Chips are solid, 3 mins in the toaster oven will make them even more solid. They get 5 stars because it's NYC and I support good burritos in my backyard. In CA, you'd probably get a 4 for chips not being included and no smattering of free salsas to choose from. Like I said in the opener, if you've lived on the west coast then you've been spoiled by a phenomenal baseline where a quality salsa bar is table stakes. Out here, just getting good salsas even at a cost counts. By the way, we're not here to throw shade at NYC - replace the word burrito with the word pizza and the exact same opener applies to California. Can you get good pizza? Yes, but you'll pay a little more, look a little harder and won't have that quality baseline as the expectation to survive your first year in a neighborhood like you do here.
