For airport food this is great. Shared the nachos with my sister and highly recommend. Added the elote, which was good. Service can be slow since there are a lot of tables and few staff. Try and order everything at once and be clear if you need the check- just like at any other airport. read more

This place is just not good. The food was edible and lacked preparation. I ordered the egg tacos with a side of rice and beans to keep with Lent this Good Friday. However these tacos were blasphemy. The tortilla was as cold as ice while the imitation egg was blistering hot. Not to mention after the first bite my tacos practically exploded back onto the plate. I literally couldn't believe it. The rice and beans tasted like they were just straight up boiled in water with nothing else for flavour. The only reason I'm not giving La Chula a lower rating is because it gave me one of the few options in the airport to stay meat free for today's holy holiday. May God grace us all. read more

Even by airport standards, this was disappointing. Tacos were served cold (meat in particular was chilly) and one of them had something unwashed inside (it was sandy). Had to hail down servers who mostly chatted with each other by the kitchen (one server seemed to get stuck with all the work including table and bar service). No napkins or utensils provided. I wish I had checked the ratings before eating here. First one of the servers was chewing, or should I say smacking on gum. You could see her spit flying all over the place. The guy at the bar service was decent but not welcoming. Seems like he was having a bad day. Disappointing tacos. Tacos were small soft shell...wasn't expecting that. Beef and chicken were extremely dry. Bones or something else hard in the chicken. Several beers on tap according to the menu but only two were available. The models negra was available and ok. Would try again but try nachos or burrito. Looked like they might be ok. Veggie burrito kind of tasted like the couple of times i tried to make burritos at home w fresh ingredients and it was totally underwhelming taste wise. The food is awful and the service is worst. 36.00 for 2 breakfast burritos that we didnt eat and a coffee and a coke. Ask the waitress if guacamole was on the side and she said yes. What a fiasco in LGA's new terminal B. Asked the hostess if I could take a seat at the bar, she was friendly and pointed me to a seat. Bar server was washing dishes in front of me, I smiled and waited for her to finish. No greeting. 2 min go by. Then 5 min. She serves the man next to me a drink. Walks away. Still no greeting. She tells the couple three seats down their chips and salsa still aren't ready - based on glassware on the bar they're on the second drink, no plates yet. I make eye contact, smile, start to say "can I please have a menu" - she walks away. We're on minute 9 now. I would say the place is 70% full. I try to make eye contact with the hostess, she walks back to the kitchen window and leans in to talk the people cooking. Minute 12 I stand up and leave - I was never acknowledged by the staff at the bar. I told the woman who took my seat - "good luck". And spent my money elsewhere read more

So I stop by the restaurant today before my flight into Cleveland, looked at the menu thought that it would be a great place to have a quick snack before my flight. During that entire time I was there the workers were in the kitchen having a very vulgar and inappropriate conversation about other Other coworkers and their sex life. The goal was to grab a bite to eat and relax before my flight but I was unable to because of the array of cuss words that I was hearing projecting from the kitchen from a black guy that wears glasses and others...It's really unfortunate that I have to give it 2 Stars because my food was great and also my service from my waiter Erica. My server Erica was very attentive and polite it was just a cooks in the kitchen that made me very uncomfortable and I probably would've stayed later and had another drink but I couldn't stand to hear the language any further... read more

Wow never thought I would be raving about airport food but that changed today. A vegetarian burrito! Wow it was so good! The burrito was slightly grilled a little crunchy. Came with all the fixings that many places charge extra for. I'm going to be dreaming of this place until I come back to New York. read more

Ordered a veggie burrito. When I ordered, they said they were out of guac but could sub in some stuff. Awesome. When it came, there was no rice or beans in it so basically had a tomato, lettuce, and salsa wrap. When I let them know, they said "oh we ran out of rice and beans." Did not refund me or apologize. Ordered to go. After they informed me they were out of what I had ordered, I changed my order to what they said they still had. Waited another 45 minutes... still no food. Asked to cancel my order so I could get to my gate...took another 15 minutes for the staff to figure out how to do so. While waiting, i observed multiple patrons say the food was terrible or send things back after waiting forever. A lovely woman named gladyssc served me delicious tacos. I was very, very pleased by the spices and the meat.

The staff is disorganized. Stood at the front waiting to be acknowledged, finally caught the eye of one of the staff and got a table. When I say I got the table, I walked to it, wiped it with a napkin and sat down. Probably a sign. Hubs ordered a burrito with carnitas and I ordered the torta with carne asada and elote corn. Burrito came out and it looked a like a brown paper roll. Little cup of salsa verde accompanied on the brown paper plate. Couldn't tell where the burrito ended and the plate started since they both were the same color beige. Hubs said it was flavoraful when he got a bite of carnitas. The ratio of meat versus stuffing was off. Server brought out two carne asada tacos. We both looked at it and each other and she realized not mine. She came back with a torta. The torta was flavorful, love the pickled jalapeños and I didn't mind chasing the brands around as they rolled off my sandwich onto the plate. The carne asada was dry and cold. I'm not sure fin there really is a grill as I sat next to the kitchen and didn't hear any cooking going on. I suspect the food is cooked elsewhere, brought in a warming box and entrees are assembled on site. There's potential here, and I'll try out again a year from now. read more
