Well while in nyc for the week I tried at least nine different coffee shops for my usual iced decaf mocha. La Colombo came in at numero uno. Mind you, I order my drink iced but without ice. Yes, very odd. I like my drinks cool but not cold. Once that ice melts the drink becomes totally watered done and Just yucky. You would be surprised how many baristas are totally confused when I say iced decaf mocha no ice. At La Colombe there was no confusion at all. The drink was smooth, the right temp with enough mocha that you can taste the chocolate without it being too sweet. Yummy!!! I also had the drink at Suited, Butlers, Blue Bottle, Bluestone, partners, Intelligentsia, ninth street coffee and cafe grumpy. Second best decaf mocha was at butlers. Keep in mind that I like my espresso smooth and not bitter and my mocha chocolatey but not too sweet. I don't care much about milk choices as I go for whole milk all the time. If you like mocha the way I do definitely try la colombe!!! read more

La Colombe Tribeca is a solid spot to grab a cup of coffee with little fuss. The coffee is consistently good, and the space has a relaxed, neighborhood feel albeit limited seating so less ideal for lingering or getting some work done. Service was quick and friendly, which is especially appreciated when you're trying to get a quick caffeine fix. Nothing overly complicated here. Good coffee and a reliable experience in Tribeca. read more

My husband is a little obsessed with La Colombe's Draft Latte on Tap (cold-pressed espresso and frothed milk served on tap with nitrous oxide), so we stop by pretty much whenever we're in proximity to one of their locations. On Saturday, we happened to be nearby this Tribeca location and stopped in. It's small, but there's a bit of seating. We took our coffees to go - a draft latte for him and an iced americano with a splash of cream for me. Both were exactly what we wanted. Fast, friendly service, too. No surprise, but we'd happily stop in at this location again. read more

I was so excited to finally get to try actual La Colombe coffee and it didn't disappoint. I went twice while in NYC and got the draft iced s'mores latte and an almond croissant. Excellent. Good sized drinks for the price which I LOVE, not a ton of ice, smooth delish coffee. Comfy ambiance and service is average. read more

I'm a big fan of local coffee shops so when I saw this chain I was hesitant but knew it would be worth trying because- come on, it's La Colombe. The menu is straight forward and sticks to the classics without crazy frills- which I appreciate.I ordered an iced latte with whole milk. I was super impressed by how quick they made my order without feeling rushed. My latte came out perfect and it was some of the smoothest espresso I've had in a while and hands down the best I've had on my trip. La Colombe is an iconic coffee shop in NYC, and more often then not you'll get a coffee that is really satisfying. La Colombe is known for many things, but my personal favorite is the draft latte. It comes out a bit foamy, super cold, and has a barely there sweetness that I love. It reminds me a little bit of melted ice cream, but lighter and more delicious. If you haven't tried the draft latte, you haven't lived. Tip: the draft latte comes without ice, so if you'd like ice make sure to ask! read more

I absolutely love Draft Lattes so naturally I had to come here during my trip to New York. Service was great and quick and we got a croissant which was delicious. Draft lattes come without ice and unsweetened, but they have sugar syrup so you can add as much or as little as you'd like. Highly recommend their coffee and especially their Draft Lattes! read more

I got the oat milk latte on draft and it is amazing!! So creamy and delicious. Almost like a coffee milkshake. A friend of mine got the draft latte with half cold brew and it was great too. The staff is friendly and quick and very Covid safe. The coffee here is a little pricey but you do get a great quality coffee. Overall I would come back! I look forward to trying the cold brew and nitro cold brew. read more

I love La Colombe and have been a customer for years - just don't go to this location. The staff are way ruder than any other location and much slower. Also the quality of the service is lower - the draft latte machine wasn't working except for the oat milk lattes and they weren't going to tell me that when I ordered a regular draft latte. Just not the best experience especially for 7$ coffee read more

A gauntlet of plexiglass!! Upon entry, you are immediately stopped at a bank teller-esque station where you order your beverage from an employee encased in plexiglass and pay via touchless terminal. Once you pass that challenge, you're permitted to enter the store where your socially distanced experience continues. The employees preparing your beverage are behind a second wall of plexiglass. You scoop up your coffee or tea and then get ushered out a second door at the back of the store. This is a level-5, clean room condition coffee experience that would pass inspection by the Center for Disease Control; effective and efficient. In addition to seeing the best executed Covid-19 Coffee exchange in the tri-state area, I also learned that "La Colombe" means "dove" in French and was not a reference to the coffee beans originating from Colombia, which was my first thought. Exemplary safety and the coffee is pretty darn good as well!! read more

I am surprised by all the great reviews for this place. All the positive hype was why I woke up early to check this place out. Maybe it was an off day or the coffee is just not my style, but I am not a fan. Around 8AM, most of their tables were actually full. I hopped online and ordered an iced coffee. They only have a small size. The coffee came out on a glass plate with a glass spoon, which is actually very sophisticated. I proceeded to the area with straws, sugar, etc. I searched for the milk, but none in sight. I had to ask for it. Of course, they brought out my preferred whole milk right away but I'm unsure why they have the sugar out for self-serve, but the milk you have to ask for. Doesn't make sense. It should be either all or nothing. The coffee itself was extremely bitter and I had a hard time finishing it. read more

The lattes ARE as gorgeous as pictured! It's just a busy, open space, not necessarily "comfortable" seating. I wouldn't consider it a "destination", unless i just happened to be abound. My friend ordered black coffee, which she thought was bitter and didn't drink it. read more

La Colombe Torrefaction is a really cool spot for a really good cup of coffee. The coffee is delicious. The cafe itself looks very chic. They sacrificed functionality for style though. There isn't much seating, and the seating they have is just a few tiny tables/stools. (like the desks you get in college. Why do desks shrink as you go up in education?) I would have stayed and ordered another latte if the seating was better. They don't have a posted menu either, so you better know a little something about coffee so you can actually order. The lack of menu also hides the fact that it's pretty pricey. Their latte art is on point though. And I love the cups they use. Things are just more enjoyable when they're presented well. read more

I came here every morning that I was in NYC. They had wonderful lattes! I really like the staff here. They were really friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs. The chocolate chip cookies are wonderful here and worth getting as a treat. In addition to the lattes, they have wonderful organic coffees that you can purchase as beans or grounds. The organic blend called "Rouge" has a subtle taste of currants. The "Bleu" has a lovely taste of milk chocolate and maraschino. Both are wonderful for morning coffee. read more

The last time I had La Colombe was about two years ago in Philly and ever since I've missed their cold brew. This location is great! Family friendly with a big lobby space for a cool temp. The seating style (tables & chair) are a bit awkward and can be uncomfortable but it works. I just basically missed this cafe a lot. It's bold brew taste is something to try. Not to mention the bottle itself is spectacular! read more

Jury duty means sitting in a room for hours on end, and then wandering the intersection of Chinatown, Tribeca, and south Soho that the courthouse sits in during your lunch break. Luckily, I was given almost a two hour break. After a quick lunch at Humble Fish, I stumbled on La Colombe right down the street. I had tried their Noho location just a couple days earlier and had loved the espresso, so decided to stop in for some fuel for exploring. This time, I went with a shot of espresso made with Workshop Windrush, from Kenya. It was a bit lighter, but still very smooth. It came out quickly, and in the cutest to-go cup. Availed myself of oat milk and agave to make a tasty short cup. Recommended, though I think I'll return to their Nizza espresso. read more

This was one of the first coffee spots we found on our trip. Really great coffee with quite a few places to sit (Which we found to be pretty rare amongst coffee shops in NYC). I loved the Black&Tan and will continue to get it anytime I need something cold and caffeinated to drink. read more

I WISH there were a La Colombe Coffee near me in Florida! Oh boy I will miss this place while I'm gone but I hope to be reunited soon. The oat milk draft latte is my absolute favorite and I would recommend it to anyone. It's so velvety and smooth and you will definitely not miss the dairy at all. If you're looking for something with a stronger coffee flavor, try their oat Black and Tan. It's half cold brew and half of the oat milk draft latte. Was introduced to this coffee chain by my uncle before I took my NY trip and this place did not disappoint. If this place was rated a 9/10, Starbucks would be a 4/10. There are a variety of coffee beans you can purchase to take home (what I did so I can take the beans back to cali). Unfortunately, the expiration date was a bit too close to purchase date for me. But they did give suggestions on how to extend the life: -keep the beans in the fridge when the package is opened -do not grind the beans until you are ready to drink them to get the best flavor and caffeine content On the plus side, with the boxes of beans I bought and chocolate, I scored a free coffee! This was my morning coffee stop pre-pandemic and the staff was always really warm while still being efficient during the rush. I stopped in recently after about 18 months and the cashier greeted me with a huge smile behind his mask, recognizing me even with my mask on. Not only is the coffee great here but the staff is so caring, I can't recommend this location enough! read more

When I walk in and immediately am told to put a mask on I'm already turned off as there were 10+ people sitting with no masks. THIS MAKES NO SENSE. Either mask everyone up or drop it. I will not be back until they come to their covid Koo Koo senses. read more

At one point, my group had been trying to get his attention for another round for quite a while while he stood around talking with coworkers. We then watched staff take a shot together, and when he finally came over he burped mid-conversation and literally had whatever he had just been drinking dribbling down his neckbeard. That was the moment where the whole thing went from unprofessional to just gross. What made it worse was that it didn't seem isolated to one employee. Throughout the night we watched staff openly taking shots and drinking behind the bar like it was a house party instead of a business. There's a difference between bar culture and complete lack of professionalism, and this crossed that line hard. One of the friends I was with actually frequents the DUMBO location and said that the last time she was there, the same bartender also seemed intoxicated, which makes this feel less like a bad night and more like an ongoing issue. The DUMBO location itself is in an amazing spot, which makes it even more disappointing. But ownership seriously needs to get control of what's going on there before someone gets hurt or the place develops a reputation for having drunk staff on the clock. Unfortunately, the experience was uncomfortable enough that my girlfriends and I won't be coming back. I genuinely hope the employee mentioned gets help if this is a regular thing, because nobody should be working service in that condition.

There are two floors of seats and they have chairs and tables outdoors a little too. This location is by a subway station, bus station and by the ferry stop. Easy to get to by all modes of transportation. I got the deconstructed latte. Which is what it sounds like. They give you three glasses one is the espresso and one is the steamed milk and the third glass is the finish product. There is also a glass of water that comes with this to clean your palette I am sure, though I did not use it. There is also a small cookie that comes with it. I did not consume the cookie. My friend had a latte or a cappuccino could not tell what it was but it looked super good too. Their coffee here is just soo tasty and smooth it seems like.

My vote for the best coffee and espresso in the city. I loves me my coffee and espresso. I am spoiled with an espresso bar in my office on the other side of the road from this place. So when it opened, I was like, I do not want your elaborate java, Tribeca! But I was incorrect. They top off every iced coffee with espresso! It is the best thing. The really best.This really is only one of these spots where you get artwork in your foam. I'd like to despise it, but it is too bloody great. The folks working there are super pleasant and professional too. Thus, go ahead, make an effort to despise it, also. But in case you dare to drink the stuff, I wager you buckle. read more

La Colombe in Tribeca is, in my opinion, the absolute best place to get coffee downtown. The simplicity of the space is charming and the quality of their beans is never dissatisfying. They make my orders quickly and accurately every time I visit. I have never had a negative interaction with any of their employees; another plus about the staff is that it the faces behind the counter have remained consistent. Now that they recognize my face they give me a smile and a "Hi, how ya doin'?" which makes me feel like an appreciated regular. I recommend the hot chocolate!! (Don't forget to sweeten it) read more

It's their complete lack of customer service at this location that not wanting to go back anymore. This place is part of my daily routine. They are efficient, pleasant and make damn good coffee. They also remember orders and faces...what more could you want! I splurge every so often on the decadent almond croissants - they are worth every calorie. They have a bit of crisp on the outside, yet are super soft and slightly chewy (in a good way) on the inside, with a layer of almond filling. read more
