We had a party of 11 that wanted to have something different for dinner, plus the kids wanted pasta. We often eat across the street at Crazy Lobster so I would see this place but never tried it out. We were missing out! Our waiter was Juan and he did a fantastic job. Thank you for the great service Juan! The bread was excellent ... crispy crust and soft inside. They went quick. We also ordered focaccia bread and they didn't disappoint. It came with olive oil & balsamic vinegar. A couple of us had the seafood pasta and the pasta was cooked perfectly. The dish was excellent. I heard the lasagne was fantastic as well and the kids all enjoyed their spaghetti with cheese and butter. I didn't hear any complaining about he pizza or salads either. The prices were fair and the staff were very friendly. If you are looking for options besides Mexican food and you are craving Italian ... go here! We were very impressed. read more

We ate at this fantastic restaurant Dec 21, 2021 and I can happily report that it is still excellent. Due to the pandemic we were not in Cabo for the past two years. La Dolce is just as good as it ever was. I had the fresh fish of the day prepared with capers and a white wine sauce. It was delicious and the vegetables were perfect, still sweet and crunchy. My husband had a Margarita pizza with chicken on it. (his creation) I was especially impressed with our waiter. I had told him my husband was allergic to nuts. My husband had ordered the lasagna. The waiter came back a few minutes later and told us the chef had used walnuts in the sauce and to please order something else. Not very many people would have remembered that, especially since it is such an unusual food to have included nuts. Lovely Italian restaurant that was recommended from my sister in law, who has high standards like me. The owner and staff were very attentive and sat us at a nice table outside. We started with the bruschetta and a glass of Malbec. Both of our entrees were OUT OF THIS WORLD delicious! I had the spaghetti Bolognese and my husband had the beef and spinach ravioli. OMG, so amazing. Everything was handmade (of course) and literally made my mouth water. I don't eat red meat but made an exception bc this restaurant was recommended and glad I made an exception. Would like to give LaDolce 3.5 stars but opted for 4 for a few reasons: 1) obviously 1/2 stars not possible here, 2) much of the pasta is made by restaurant, 3) service was very good. LoDolce was a welcome change from the delicious Mexican fair. We've been enjoying all week. It has all the makings of a good restaurant: a nice menu, decent wines, good service, and a beautiful ambience. The dishes were just a little subpar in my opinion in terms of flavor. Only 1 of our main dishes really hit it out of the park: SPAGHETTI MARI E MONTI (shrimp, bacon,onion, tomato sauce and cream). It was full of flavor and tasty. Then other 3 pastas we ordered(TAGLIATELLE PORCINI E GORGONZOLA, SPAGHETTI DIAVOLA, and RAVIOLI DEL BOSCO) were well made but did not deliver full flavor. They were rather bland, and came somewhat tepid to the table (but I won't hold that against the restaurant because they were very very busy tonight). The appetizers, carpaccio and bruschetta, were very nice, with the bruschetta, although not authentic, quite a tasty cross between garlic bread and traditional bruschetta. Cappuccino and Caffe Latte were also pretty authentic. The tiramisu was prepared differently than what I'm used to, with chocolate sauce that tasted like Hershey's syrup, extra whipped cream, and no real rum flavor. But it was just enough for the 5 of us to get a taste. Although the meal didn't blow me away, the food has potential. I'd be open to visiting this restaurant again. read more

The food was wonderfully delicious and better than our other trusted Italian restaurant in the area. They were swamped tonight (Monday) so the owner stepped in and took our order. We were a party of 7 with annoying dietary restrictions and he made it breezy to the point where he recommended custom creations. Everything was absolutely 10 out of 10. Love, love, love, La Dolce. Came to Cabo 5 years ago with friends and went to La Dolce for the first time. Came back again 2 weeks ago and have eaten here 3 times already! Ambiance is nice and not a lot a screaming kids running around or drunk tourists. Mainly locals that know a good place when they find it. Little known secrete is they serve gnocchi on Friday and Saturday nights, but it's not on the menu. You have to ask for it and they run out quick so if you want to ensure your gnocchi meal, I suggest calling ahead and making a reservation and letting them know your going to want gnocchi. They also do awesome to-go orders. You won't be disappointed!!! read more

We showed up to have the kitchen closed and the employees were very rude, not to mention they had their hours posted and it said it closed at 12 am. Excellent food! I am a picky one when it comes to Italian Having a southern Italian background, I cannot stand most red sauce. I was lucky enough to be there when they had made the homemade gnocchi. I got mine with bolognese sauce. Other sauce choices, but that was mine. They melted in my mouth! So happy this restaurant is in Cabo. read more

Delicious! On the our last night we were all over Mexican food and decided to go to a Italian Restaurant that was recommended to us... Of course I yelped it and it had 5 stars but only 5 reviews, what the heck its worth a try. Oh yes it was! Its not on any main streets, its on a side street with other restaurants and stores. You can either sit inside or out. We sat inside. We had a party of 7 and everybody loved their dish. The servers are very attentive and nice. At one point the whole inside was packed. It's a nice small, cute place. The food wasn't the best, bread was kinda hard. Service was great. Greeted at the door. They validate for one hour parking around the block. Clean and nice area to walk around. We got the daily special - spaghetti. The Appletini was pretty good as well. I recommend it even if it wasn't for me. We paid $46 for two plates of spaghetti, one drink and tea. I think it was over priced for what we had. read more

My wife and I have been coming here for years and it never disappoints. Great homemade pasta dishes with amazing variety. Service is attentive and friendly. Prices are very reasonable. If you've been eating nothing but Mexican food for several days, it's a welcome break. My only suggestion is that they not show wrestling on the ever present TV, as they did last night. Wow. I have never received better service before. I came in when it was super busy and wanted to place a to go order. Even though we didn't have a reservation they let us sit down at a table and drink our margaritas while we waited for our food. I'm staying at a hotel nearby and I paid an unbelievable amount for having a meal plan. If I received service like this there I wouldn't have to think twice about tipping twenty percent. Five stars and well earned for quality, price and service. This place shows that you don't have to try rip off the tourists just because you can. My lasagne was great and they gladly substituted shrimp for calamari in my daughter's pasta dish. It's a very good place to go to eat for families with kids. Even though it doesn't offer kids menu, the food is very kids friendly and the musicians that come in and out of the restaurant made a fun experience for the entire family. FIVE STARS doesn't do this place justice -- Don't miss this absolutely fantastic restaurant during any visit to Cabo! This was our first trip and it was so good the first night that we came BACK again a 2nd time because of the quality of the food and the great service. We felt right at home with our new friend Hector who's pride of the chef showed through with a warm smile and impeccable service! While I imagine the entire menu is fantastic, you can't miss with the spaghetti bolognese and pepperoni pizza. It very well may be the best sauce we have ever tasted! Great food and service! Didn't open till 5pm, but that wasn't a problem. I had a fire roasted pizza, yummy. My husband had the seafood pasta, HUGE portion and a ton of seafood served in this dish.
