This place makes the best pan dulce in Sacramento. They have been a staple for decades. I purchased flan, coconut macaroon, elote, puercito and churros. When I am in the area I must go here.

Bakery food is decent not a whole a huge variety, but they do have different kinds of product cakes, bakery, sweet breads candy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Busy store family friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Customer service is not really friendly. No hi how are you? No thank you

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Deep in the heart of West Sac in a rundown strip mall is this bakery. Don't be fooled with its humble surroundings-Whats inside is what counts.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was a long line to get the bread. They had various people working the counter getting the bread. They were efficient and nice. We went crazy and got lots of bread for 2 people!! It smelled fresh bake in there and they told me that they are getting fresh bread all day throughout the day. Its so affordable and sugary good. From traditional conchas to orejas and even cajeta filled churros all at very low price. So worth it. :)

Their soft chocolatey and large take on the "hostess cupcake." One of my favorites!

Does La Esperanza need another review at this point? No. We all know it's great. Still, I must shout from the rooftops how much I love their pastries! The chocolate muffin in particular makes me feel like a happy little kid! And it gets chocolate all over my face and hands like a kid too! It costs $2.50 for one as of JUNE 2025. They also make a cheesecake slice, and a variation on the cheesecake slice that is half chocolate cake. That costs $4.50 I think. Thank you to the bakers at La Esperanza for such wonderful delicious treats!

Possibly the best bakery I've tried in the Sac area…read more Small parking lot so we ended up parking a block up the street and walked down. There is no seating inside but there are a few benches outside. I think the favorite thing I got here was their "not pizza" which was their sourdough bread topped with delicious tomato sauce, cheese, etc. Amazing and so soft and fluffy. I also really enjoyed their banana bread (insanely moist) and egg and ham cup. Prices are reasonable (croissants are less than $5) and service is fast despite the line out the door. Very high quality stuff and worth the drive if you are coming from out of the area. You won't be disappointed. I wouldn't be surprised if this place continues to get more popular. Sac needs more places like this.

Live Bluegrass music at 8 AM. This is what life should be like! I only found this spot because I was nearby and looking for a bite to eat. I heard that there was usually a line out the door and I must've had good timing because there was only about five people in front of me and I was able to walk right in and just have a short wait in line. I grabbed the chocolate banana bread, a garlic bun, a potato and crème fraîche, savory pastry, and an egg and ham pastry. Definitely been on a big banana bread kick lately and this one did not disappoint. Tons of chocolate chips! The garlic bun was by far my absolute favorite. It was crispy and at the same time so buttery like a croissant, and the garlic flavor was amazing. Not overpowering not that spicy garlic taste when a recipe overdoes it, just perfect garlic, butter, crisp and light. Absolute heaven. I was a little sad that I was there alone and no one to share it with so I'm sharing with all of you today... you absolutely have to try this spot Lots of little items for purchase on the shelf to some handmade pottery, hand, carved salad, tongs, and even print of the bakery. This is definitely my favorite find in a very long time

I set my pickup on a Sunday at 12 pm. There is a number to notify the bakery you're there for your pickup. Unfortunately, they were so slammed no one picked up and it went to vm. I couldn't go inside since I had my 1 year old asleep in the car. I parked near the front and knocked on the window. An employee saw me and gave me excellent and expeditious customer service! Respectful, kind, and appreciative for my business. I wish I got his name! He walked the cake all the way to my car and made sure I took a peak to see if my cake was correct. We ordered the Strawberry White Chocolate Mousse cake for my son's 18th birthday. Not super sweet even though white chocolate can be that way. The mousse was light and not too decadent. This cake is one to please many! We're still eating the leftovers 7 days later. As long as it's in an airtight container it'll taste just as amazing as the first day.

Ummm... I have mixed feelings about this place…read more Let's start with the positives because there are plenty. The cakes, pastries, and beverages were absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. In fact, the cakes impressed me so much that I can honestly see myself ordering future birthday and celebration cakes from here. The ordering process was smooth, and the décor is gorgeous, making it a really inviting place to spend some time. I enjoyed the bakery so much that I came back a week later to try lunch. Unfortunately, that's where things took a turn. I ordered the burger, and someone in my party had the salmon burger. Both were incredibly bland. It honestly tasted like no salt or seasoning had been added at all. If you prefer very lightly seasoned food, this might be right up your alley, but it just wasn't for me. The iced tea also comes unsweetened, so keep that in mind if you're expecting sweet tea. One small thing that could also be improved is the ordering setup. There are separate lines for the bakery and the kitchen, but when it gets busy it can be a little confusing--especially since you order first and then find a seat. Overall, I'd absolutely return for the pastries, cakes, and drinks. The bakery side is outstanding. As for lunch, though, it left me wanting a lot more flavor.

Large, very clean. All of the employees were friendly. It has a little bit of everything. It has a bakery, sandwiches, soups, stews, other items as well. They even serve an afternoon tea. I decided to go for the chicken and mushroom congee. (rice porridge.). I also got a green onion hotdog roll to take home with me. To drink, I had a green tea with lemon. The congee was amazing. A rich complex flavor. It had a little bit of ginger in it, you could definitely taste the ginger, but it did not overwhelm the rest of the porridge. The chicken was good, and for the mushroom, they used black mushrooms, which have a deeper flavor than regular mushrooms. So very good. It looked like a small bowl, but I couldn't finish it. Some came home with me, and it reheated very well. It also came with Chinese donuts to put in the porridge. Chinese donuts are a little bit different. They definitely taste like a doughnut, except they are not sweet at all. They are savory donuts, and are perfect to use as a crouton, so to speak. The green tea was very good, and they didn't overdo it with the lemon, and that hotdog roll that I had later, the pastry was delicious with just a little bit of a "chew" to it, they were definitely high-quality hot dogs, and it wasn't just green onion. They had something mixed in, I'm not sure what it was, but it didn't taste raw like green onion can. Just a great lunch. I'll be back. Thanks.

It's a small shop and there's usually a line, but they move pretty quickly and it's nice to have time to decide what you're going to order. On my last visit we picked up a couple brownies, a cookie, and one of their savory corn muffins with bacon and jalapeno. All the items are prices well, and are very fresh. I loved the brownies, especially the one with nuts. They're the perfect fudgy texture and while they're a good size, it's hard to stop eating them once you start. I recommend stopping in early for the most variety, they're the type of spot that once they run out of something it's gone for the day, and everything I've tried so far has been delicious.

My boyfriend and I finally had the time to come on a Monday (after the gym lol). We ordered a couple of items to try and I'll tell you I was full after a couple of bites and it carried me for the rest of day. We ordered jalapeño cheddar and classic sausage patty, egg, & cheese biscuit sandwich and biscuit 2 pack: blueberry and brown sugar biscuit. While picking up my boyfriend was recommended the cinnamon roll and he caved and got it! We had our pickup time at 7:30, but we showed up a little early and got our food around 7:20. There was a bit of a wait since there were some people ahead of us, so I'd recommend you going a bit earlier than your time just in case you're in a rush. We headed home to try everything. We really enjoyed the biscuits themselves as they didn't leave a dry or grainy feeling in your mouth. They had a good crust while being airy and light inside. The sandwiches were good, but they were anything crazy. Size wise it is small for the price you get, but I get it. It's all house made and fresh. We definitely think the biscuits themselves are the standout. The blueberry and brown sugar biscuits were a sweet tooth's heaven. The cinnamon roll wasn't too sweet either and had great texture and basically melted in your mouth. I never knew about midtown bakery before midtown biscuits so I would definitely come back to check out their other items, while getting those biscuits!

This was my first visit to Paris Baguette, and I'd definitely come back!…read more We ordered two medium iced vanilla lattes along with the hash brown bread with ham and cheese, an almond pain au chocolat, and the very berry pastry. The iced vanilla lattes were really good. The pastries were the highlight. The almond pain au chocolat was perfectly flaky, and the filling was absolutely delicious. The very berry pastry was my favorite. The cream was light, fresh, and had just the right amount of sweetness, and the fruit on top tasted fresh and sweet. The hash brown bread with ham and cheese was very dense and filling, making it a great savory option. I loved the self-serve pastry setup and appreciated how large the bakery selection was. While some items looked a little fresher than others, there was still plenty to choose from, and everything we picked was delicious. The bakery itself was very clean with plenty of comfortable seating, and I noticed they even offer WiFi, making it a nice place to work, catch up with someone, or just enjoy a coffee. It was fairly busy and a little noisy, but there were still plenty of open seats. Parking was also easy thanks to the large parking lot. The only downside was the service. The staff wasn't unfriendly, but they also weren't especially welcoming. I also had trouble hearing the employee calling out completed drinks, so I ended up waiting around 10 minutes. It's possible our coffees were ready sooner, but I didn't want to crowd the pickup area. Our total came to about $30 for two coffees and three pastries, which felt reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. Overall, this was a great first experience, and I'd definitely stop by again the next time I'm craving a coffee and pastry.

However, when I bit into my croquette and garlic frank, they were still cold inside. Since I had requested them to be toasted, I expected them to be warm all the way through. I called the store afterward to ask what their standard procedure for toasting items is. The employee I spoke with told me that it "just depends on the worker and how they toast it." That response didn't make sense to me. I would expect there to be a consistent standard for preparing food, especially when a customer specifically requests it to be toasted. the attitude I received came across as very much "I don't care,"
