So delicious, every item is worth trying and I don't easily say that. You can taste the quality difference which makes the price point worth it as well. I got a total of 11 items for a small gathering which came out to around $49 before tip; each item was a hit. Favorites were the ham and egg, flourless chocolate cookie and the cardamom buns.

Was looking for a new bakery spot to try in SAC and stumbled upon this gem. You walk in and immediate get hit with a wonderful aroma of baked goods and spices. So many savory choices to pick from, we got the following: PBJ (for you PB lovers, must get), garlic roll (if you love garlic also must get, a little oily. But fantastic), broccoli cheddar (solid, was hoping for a bit more cheddar forward) and the potato n ham (solid). The staff were very friendly and on point with their suggestions. Parking lot is small to keep that in mind and get here early there is a line. Add this to your Sac list.

Moonbelly is a locals favorite. They are open only on Friday-Sunday. There is always a line regardless of what time you go but it moves by fast. My favorite baked good here is their ham and egg which sells out by 9:30-10 so make sure you go early. Workers are always so nice and outgoing. They always have a different cold brew specials that's unique. There's a seating area right outside to enjoy your pastries afterwards.

This bakery is ran by an amazing woman who knows what delicious is! I cannot say enough good things about this place. The owner and the employees are fabulous humans who care about their customers and are always giving back to the community. There is always a line out the door, and its not hard to see why. The products they sell are nothing short of culinary art. I recommend you try everything!! You will not be disappointed.

Moonbelly is one of my absolute favorite bakeries in the area. They're only open Friday through Sunday and they have different items available throughout the day. I suggest going right at opening for the best variety of breakfast items, and the best chance to get your favorites, however they do start serving sandwiches and some other items later in the day (Everything goes quickly though). They have a great variety of fresh baked items, including sweet and savory options. They have whole loaves of bread, cookies, croissants, rolls, and more. They also have items on the shelves like jars of jam, cookies, ceramics, candles, and pickled goods. My favorite item here is the garlic bun ($4.20). They're so flaky and delicious, with the perfect amount of savory garlic flavor. The chocolate chip shortbread cookies ($3.25) are in my top list as well, with just the right amount of sweetness, they go perfectly with tea or a cup of coffee. The Flourless Chocolate Cookies ($3.50) is unreal, so gooey and indulgent. Those are most of the regular items we try to get, but everything here is wonderful, and it's worth trying any new-to-you item you see. They also have coffee, hot chocolate, cold brew and a few other drink options and they're always so good. I ordered cold brew on my last visit and it was SO GOOD! The team here is so kind and they work super hard to get people through the line. They're always happy to answer questions and if the food doesn't put you in a good mood their cheerful smiles will. There's an outdoor area where you can enjoy your items right away, and they do have a parking lot, but finding parking can be tricky when they're busy.

This bakery was very good. The moment you walk in it smells delightful. They have very limited hours. The bakery is not very big just enough room for a few people to order, there's no seating in the inside but they do have patio space. I the pastries were so good. We tried the ham and cheese sandwich (similar to a croquet Monsieur), rhubarb & strawberry galette, cinnamon morning bun, lemon poppyseed morning bun, and a strawberry and peanut butter croissant. All of them were excellent. The lemon poppyseed morning bun had a lot of poppyseeds and you are taking whole bites of poppyseed. So if you are not a fan of poppyseed you will most likely not enjoy that as much. It's also not too lemony so even if you don't like lemon, you can still like it. The strawberry peanutbutter croissant thing also did not have too much peanut butter, it was the perfect hint. The staff was very friendly and answered all my question regarding which pastries to try. I definitely recommend trying this bakery!

Always so delicious! The line is always long, come early if you can because they run out of things fast. I came here with my cousin and we got an array of items. The morning bun and shortbread cookie were the stars of the show! Can't wait to go back and get some more delicious pastries!

    It's so hard to decide!

Just went here for the first time. The line was out the door and down the side of the next building, but it went pretty fast. I tried the brown butter almond cake, the cardamom bun, the peanut butter and strawberry tart, and the flourless chocolate cookie. Everything was wonderful! I had a hard time deciding which was my favorite - probably the brown butter almond cake. Lucia, the owner, is also letting my Girl Scout troop come here to learn about owning a business, using local ingredients, and baking. This is a great community business!

So unique and delicious! FOOD: My husband insisted we visit this place after having their cookies at a meeting. Boy did they live up to all of his hype! I got the shortbread chocolate chip cookie and it was AMAZING. I have never had anything like this. The texture is perfect and the chocolate is sweet but not too sweet!! SERVICE: The staff was very sweet! AMBIANCE: This spot is so charming...everything you would look for in a cute little bakery! OVERALL, will I be back? Ohhhh yes, I am planning my next visit as we speak. I want to try their sourdough next!

Finally made it into Moonbelly. As I was pulling in a parking spot opened up, score! Waited outside the red dooe before there was space to enter. Its a small outfit, but gosh, their display case was amazing. Essentially, I left with a sampler of savory & sweet 9 items and a set of twists for$63.47. A bit pricy, but so worth it for the quality handmade artisanal breads and pastries. Also all the staff were super friendly and helpful, def. tip-worthy.

First time out here. Everything was great but the almond cake was my favorite...so moist and just the right amount of sweet. The only thing is the long line to get in. It's a small place so the queue goes out the door and I wouldn't say the line moves quickly despite their best efforts. That said, service was very friendly. Would come back more if it were closer to me.

Moonbelly Bakery was fantastic! It has been on my "to visit" list for a while and I finally made it over there this past weekend. I saw some people lined up outside and wasn't sure if it was just for dining in or not, but it turns out - you need to line up regardless if you're eating there or taking it to go to. It's quite a small space. The line moves pretty quickly though. Parking is really tight. I got lucky and pulled in just as someone was leaving, but I also drive a Mommy SUV so it was a squeeze getting in and out. As for the pastries - yum! I took home 2 flourless chocolate cookies, a pear cream cheese tart, a chocolate croissant, and an almond something or other cake. I've tried most by now, but we still have the cake and a cookie left (my daughter wants it). The cookie is AMAZING - I will be back for those for sure! They're so rich and decadent, not too thick, a little chewy, not crispy, not too soft; they're perfection. The tart and the croissant were great too and made for a yummy late night snack with some tea.

    Yummy!

When's the least busy day/time to go and still be able to get a variety of goodies?

Probably Friday mornings. But I've gone on Saturdays and Sundays and if you get there between 8-9 you'll have plenty to choose from!

Do you have sandwich rolls for subs?

Hi Linda. We do not make rolls.

    Do you have pumpkin pies?

We are not making pumpkin pies this year.

Not going to lie, but I used to work here when they first opened in 2009 and I would never get tired of eating the meatball pan or the green tea melon pan during my break. After all these years, I would have a craving from time to time so I always return and say hello to the owner. Besides, they make a lovely goodie box for a party and I always throw in a bag of dinner rolls because the quality of their bread is so soft and delicious. I'll be lucky if I still have 1/4 of the bag by the time I get home.

I've been coming to Estelle's Bakery & Patisserie for years since I used to live only a block away,…read moreso it became one of my favorite places to walk to for tea and desserts. I've since moved out of state, but during my last visit in January this year, the treats and drinks were just as delicious as I remembered. This was always one of my favorite spots to spend a few hours catching up with girlfriends over tea and pastries. The ambience is lovely and gives off fancy tea party vibes, making it perfect for casual conversations, book discussions, or just relaxing with something sweet. My personal favorites are the rose macaron and the mont blanc desserts. If I'm feeling hungry, I usually order the ratatouille, and the vanilla bean French toast is amazing when I want something sweet but filling. Matcha is always my go-to drink here too (though it's on the sweet side, so I don't think it's ceremonial grade). I remember my first visit; It was when I stopped by later in the day looking for a birthday cake for my son's 8th birthday about five years ago. I ended up choosing their chocolate mousse cake on a whim since it was one of the cakes they still had on display, and it turned out to be a good decision. My son loved it, but it was too chocolatey for me so he ended up having most of the cake. Still one of the memories I remember most from here. It was something I kept in mind that if I wanted more options and variety, I should arrive earlier in the day. There are a few downsides that keep this from being a full 5 stars for me though. The parking lot is very small and street parking can be difficult, especially during busy hours. The place gets crowded very easily, which is why I usually preferred walking there when I lived nearby. There's often a guard stationed at the front kindly holding the door open, though I imagine that's also due to the neighborhood. Pricing is definitely on the expensive side, but honestly that's fairly expected with a patisserie. My biggest issue is that service can noticeably decline when they're overwhelmed. Depending on when you visit, the line can get absurdly long (almost out the front door), and I've experienced slower service and even had my drink mixed up with another customer's order once. Since I order oat milk due to lactose intolerance, getting the order correct is pretty important. Thankfully, when the bakery isn't overly busy and adequately staffed, the employees are attentive, friendly, and very helpful with the ordering process if you have questions. It is still one of the Sacramento bakeries I miss after moving away. It was so lovely to have a bakery down the street from home.

I got the matcha croissant ive been hearing about, the new blueberry cream croissant and the mango passionfruit entremet. The Croissants were a huge flop. Blueberry had barely enough filling inside-the cream itself was tasty but croissant was rough in texture and not flaky. Matcha was a bit more flaky and had more filling-I wouldn't say GENEROUS amount as some have said but maybe I just got a bad one. The cream was too subtle -it was more like vanilla with a hint of matcha. The entremet was the only one that didnt suck-it was delicious but again I wouldn't say anywhere in Sacramento has wowed me yet with their entremets compared to places in the bay except for the ones that ginger Elizabeth has had in the past-the flavor itself was on point, i will say the texture of the entremets have a majority layer of the jelly part-if they could perfect the variety of layers you're supposed to get in each bite I would be more impressed as thats the whole point of enjoying an entremet. I recommend stopping in early for the most variety, they're the type of spot that once they run out of something it's gone for the day, and everything I've tried so far has been delicious.

My boyfriend and I finally had the time to come on a Monday (after the gym lol). We ordered a couple of items to try and I'll tell you I was full after a couple of bites and it carried me for the rest of day. We ordered jalapeño cheddar and classic sage sausage patty, egg, & cheese biscuit sandwich and biscuit 2 pack: blueberry and brown sugar biscuit. While picking up my boyfriend was recommended the cinnamon roll and he caved and got it! We had our pickup time at 7:30, but we showed up a little early and got our food around 7:20. There was a bit of a wait since there were some people ahead of us, so I'd recommend you going a bit earlier than your time just in case you're in a rush. We headed home to try everything. We really enjoyed the biscuits themselves as they didn't leave a dry or grainy feeling in your mouth. They had a good crust while being airy and light inside. The sandwiches were good, but they were anything crazy. Size wise it is small for the price you get, but I get it. It's all house made and fresh. We definitely think the biscuits themselves are the standout. The blueberry and brown sugar biscuits were a sweet tooth's heaven. The cinnamon roll wasn't too sweet either and had great texture and basically melted in your mouth. I never knew about midtown bakery before midtown biscuits so I would definitely come back to check out their other items, while getting those biscuits!

Some of my favorites: 1. Croissants- all of them lovely... can't miss! 2. Smoke Salmon Tartine- some of my favorite things balanced on top of a yummy toast (roasted carrots, creamy cream spread, daisies, and of course salmon) 3. Red bean sesame cheesecake- sounds crazy, but quite good and I'm not even a fan of red beans 4. Mceggggg- yes, five stars for the "5G" Sando!

I initially parked closer to their kitchen, not realizing there was a main building but they're right across from each other. They have a few self-ordering kiosks, which I guess they prefer customers to use. It kind of seemed like the staff member didn't want to take my order, even though it wasn't busy at all. Their bakery items and brunch menu are on the higher end price-wise, but I think that also aligns with the market and location, so it makes sense. Since it was my first time there, I only ordered a couple of items to try. FOOD REVIEW Morning Bun - 5/5: My kids loved this. It reminded me of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, but in pastry form. This was so good. Almond Croissant - 5/5: The croissant itself was airy, super flaky, and really good. My kids also enjoyed this one. The pastries were packaged nicely as well. Overall, the pastries were good, so the price felt worth it to me.

I was so surprised that they included a cake cutter, candles, and matches. It was so nice and convenient. Love the service and it was so thoughtful. The cake was so fresh and we all loved it. I would totally purchase another cake from them in the future.

It took us quite some time to finally figure out what we wanted to order, there are so many options and they all look delicious! Here is what we decided on: - Supreme Croissant filled with Raspberry & Nutella: A perfect combination of chocolatey but make it fruity - Crab Meat Croquette: This one was very unique, the pastry was flakey and the crab melts in your mouth - Hash Brown Bread with Ham & Cheese: As a hash brown lover I could not turn it down. It was like a breakfast sandwich packed into a hash brown - Coffee Bun: This one was a bit more bland for us, but I think it would taste better if you order it alongside your coffee - Pineapple Brulee Pastry: Also as a lover of crème brûlée, I could not resist trying this. It was delectable, such a wonderful fruity twist on the classic treat. Until next time, Paris Baguette!

I live in a small town a couple of hours from Sac and the only "gluten free" place is In & Out Burger. And it's a 50/50 chance you'll get glutened. Felt like a kid again no joke. And not only was everything dedicated gluten free, but absolutely delicious! Cinnamon roll was fantastic. So were these small little pockets of joy, can't remember the names. Breakfast sandwich was flavorful. Usually gf baked goods are dried out hockey pucks. Everything I ordered was full of moist wonder. Excited to go back, definitely worth a special trip. On a recent visit, I asked what was a popular choice and that's how I ended up with a barracuda cupcake, which was pretty delicious. I also got a "breakfast" sandwich, the #4, which sort of tasted like a non-breakfast sandwich, but whatever. It was spicy and tasty, but nothing to write home about. Luckily there is a whole vegan menu, so I would happily try another sandwich on a return visit. I also love that this place charges extra to sub meat, and not to sub vegan (which is how it should be, frankly). The spot itself is small, with not a lot of seating, which makes it better as a place to grab stuff to go. The downside of this is that parking is absolutely terrible, so I ended up parking four or five blocks away.
