[[HIGHLIGHT]]This restaurant definitely has that classic old school vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But you know you're in for a good meal. We were quickly greeted and taken to a table. [[HIGHLIGHT]]First off, it was a Sunday night and they had live music which was nice. Added to the ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our waitress came over and offered some incredible specials. Everything she described sounded amazing. And they also have an extensive menu, so I think the hardest thing was making a decision. For starters we got the Burrata. It comes with arugula, prosciutto and tomatoes. I love that the arugula was dressed! It had a garlicky olive oil that was fascinating. The combo of that with the burrata was amazing. Also I appreciate the fact that it was actual Burrata!!! The interior was soft and creamy as it should be! Could've used more prosciutto but I always want more lol For entree I got the Filet Mignon with a peppercorn sauce on the side. That came with a side of mashed potatoes and broccolini. (You do have the option to change your side for pasta if you like) I got my filet cooked to a mid-rare and the temp on the steak was on point. It was also well seasoned and very flavorful on it's own. Now the real star of the night was that peppercorn sauce. OMG... I could bathe in that sauce. It's delicious. Knowing how good it is, next time I'll ask for the filet smothered in the sauce. The mashed potatoes were okay, but the peppercorn sauce made it that much better. For dessert I went with the classic Tiramisu. It is a huge portion! The mascarpone is so soft and fluffy and has just the right amount of coffee. Highly recommend for tiramisu lovers. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We got to meet the owner which was nice and he just recently took over the place and is currently renovating the interior. Looking forward to seeing this place refreshed!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is already 10/10!

Run dont walk! ! IL Toscano is an absolute must dining experience. Yes, they are deep in west Pembroke Pines but the drive is worth it and then some. Mark my words. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You're transformed to your grandmothers kitchen as soon as you walk in. The family, cozy and warmth is difficult not to feel which is one of the many reasons we love dining here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They are a family owned and run shop, if you couldn't yet tell. Be sure to make a reservation, especially on the weekends. We've dined in for dinner on a few different occasions and have never had a bad experience nor a bad meal. From the fresh made pasta, bone in veal chop, baked clams, chicken Marsala, short ribs, lobster ravioli, and everything in between are *chefs kiss*

Partner and I stopped by IL Toscano Ristorante for lunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was impressed with their large patio dining area and nice interior décor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As they gave a really good wine list I started with a Montepulciano D'Abruzzo from Casata Parini, Italy. Fortunately, it turned out to be a good choice. For my entrée, I had BISTECCA MUSHROOM, a 30.95 12 0Z. SIRLION STEAK IN A MUSHROOM CREAM SAUCE SERVED WITH TRUFFLE MASHED POTATOES AND SAUTEED BROCCOLI. Unfortunately, the steak was well done, though I ordered it rare and was, except for the mushrooms, flavorless. My partner had an escargot served in Perno and a basically white dish ceviche. He thought both were very good. Our service was polite but very slow. Overall, it is a rather nice place but with average food.

We went to Il Toscano for the first time and we enjoyed an exquisite dinner and great service. I had previously reserved for New Years Eve but had to cancel for a family invitation. So we decided to have a late lunch or early dinner there. I noticed that many of the guests were habitué of the restaurant, which was appealing to me. We ordered Mozzarella Caprese and meatballs to start. Very savory and the meatballs were juicy. Next visit I will definitely the escargots. My entree was the Chicken Franchese with Truffled mashed potato and Brocoli. I enjoyed every bite! a must try! I also had a side of the Fungi Risotto. We were delighted with our desert, Molten lava cake with vanilla ice cream, I haven't had a good one for so long. And great espresso, i am not a fan for acidic coffee and theirs was great. It was worth the drive. We really enjoyed the dinner. Everything was delightful.

Excellent choice if you want good pasta and great service! Let's see: the place is nice sized and decorated spot on Pines Blvd (close to West Broward HS). Easy to find and ample parking and that's always a plus. Then you are cordially greeted and find out there's a happy hour from 4-7 pm? Well we shall enjoy a happy cocktail then! So we were seated at a table since the bar was full, and proceeded to make our selection! I got a Cosmo, my friend a glass of wine and we chose an appetizer to share. Then we each got our pasta main course, and we shared 1 desert. Everything tasted delicious, but I have to say that the chicken Milanese with the penne side was HUGE and I was jealous of her huge take home box as compared to my mini-doggie bag of delicious creamy tortellini... I mean do t get me wrong, my pasta was delicious... but so was her Milanese and it was huge so next time I'm getting one of those! Anyway, all in all it was a great experience. The service was a plus plus, every one was tending to us and making sure we were ok and the food was good. We felt pampered. Around 8 we were finally done eating , and we noticed that a singer was setting up to start his rounds... so if you arrive later, there's some live entertainment as well. Enjoy!

Hosted company dinners and outings here! Amazing food and even better staff and team members. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Mario and the family make you feel cozy and just like family![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We highly recommend this wonderful neighborhood restaurant.

    Spaghetti and meatballs, delicious!

Our go to place whenever we are in Broward this Italian eatery is always consistent. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great food great ambience Mario is a great host.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We love this place. The service is outstanding.

This Italian restaurant has good decor. There is plenty of seating for large groups and they have outside dining too. What I like best is that they are pet friendly. I made a reservation a week in advance and was told by the son of the owner that we would have a table by the window. When we arrived, the owner gave us a table in the back room by the restrooms. I explained our reservation but was told that the table in question had been reserved for a long time. The wine was good, The food was not. I had the veal and it was touigh and chewy. The sauce was the best part. The broccoli rabe was excellent but the waiter told me that my order of spinach was in the broccoli rabe. It was not. The waiter was off that night or maybe was new. He kept paying attention to only two people in our party. If I tried to get his attention, he just walked away. I really wanted to like this place and I felt bad for the people in my party because the service was so poor. Overall, Sosta, Broccolini and Spaghetto have way more authentic Italian food. This was not what I expected.

Another great UYE courtesy of Mary Ann.

Big thanks to Mary Anne C. for hosting this wonderful U.Y.E. A group of us braved a tropical depression and Friday the 13th to met up for and evening of Italian fare at Il Toscano Ristoranted in Pembroke Pines. They offer both outdoor seating on their covered patio and indoors in their large dining room. On the night we dined they had live music by Danny Prus, One Man Band which I really enjoyed. We were put in the side room which they use for large parties and we had it to ourselves for most of the evening. A Yelp check in nets you a free drink, even with alcohol or a dessert. That was very nice of them and I started the evening with a delicious house Moscato. Others at the table opted to save their check in for dessert. While we perused the menu we were brought a complimentary bread basket. I munched on that while others ordered delicious looking appetizers. For my main course I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana which came with a side of penne. Others ordered veal and Lasagna. I have no complaints with the food although others were less enamored. Ordering it was another story. Our server, who I didn't even get his name, took orders like he was in a rush. He would take half the orders at the tables and start walking away leaving those of us on the end of the table yelling our orders at this back. It was almost comical. He brought one persons dessert without asking anyone else if they wanted any. One time we asked if he could snap a picture of the table and you could tell it was real imposition. We just ended up asking the lovely people who came to the table next to us. My dessert was a cappuccino and slice of tiramisu I had to yell as he was yet again walking away before taking all of the orders. My coffee was pretty sad. The one someone else ordered looked better. It was if they made that one and dumped what they had left in my cup. It was only 3/4 full with the saddest little layer of foam. The tiramisu was fine. The added on an automatic 20 percent gratuity to the bill which fortunately someone spotted and pointed out. A little high in my opinion for the service we received. What made this such a great experience was the company. It is so much fun to check out a new place with friends. Great to see old friends and make new like Judy S. Hope to see you all again soon.

It's a smallish restaurant but they also have seating outside. From what I understand they do have an area for private parties. We were seated and given our menus and told about the house specials. I ordered the taglioline cacio e pepe and my husband got the fettuccine meatballs. All the pastas in the restaurant are homemade and the one I ordered was prepared table side in a cheese wheel. I don't even know where to start except to say that this was so delicious and definitely one of the best Italian dishes I've ever had. The cheese sauce was so creamy and there was a slight taste of truffle in there. They ask you if you'd like pepper in it so I had them add a little bit to cut out some of the creaminess of the sauce. My husband's fettuccine was equally as delicious and I loved the meatballs and I'm usually not a person who likes restaurant made meatballs because I think mine are the best! For dessert we split a slice of tiramisu and it was very good. Sangria was very good as well. Mimmo, the owner and chef came over to say hello and to make sure we were enjoying our food and service. It was really nice chatting with him and I told him that we are definitely going to be repeat customers! It's not visible from the street so I'd suggest using your GPS there first time you go there unless you're familiar with the area.

Good food and good service can heal emotional damage, lower blood pressure, and probably save marriages. So after seeing Negroni sitting there in Weston Town Center looking all fancy and mysterious for what feels like 37 years, my wife and I finally decided to go. No kids. No responsibilities. Just two tired adults escaping life for a couple hours. We walk in and immediately the place looked beautiful. Nice aesthetics, trendy vibe, dim lights, everybody dressed like they either own crypto or sell real estate in Brickell. I said okay this place got potential. Then the hostess sat me at the smallest table known to mankind. Ladies and gentlemen... I am 6'2. This table was built for borrowers from The Borrowers movie. My knees were touching the wall, the chair, the table, and possibly another dimension. I felt like I was serving detention for crimes I didn't commit. At one point I think my rib cage made eye contact with the candle. But I stayed positive because sometimes suffering leads to greatness. Jesus carried the cross. I carried cramped legs. I ordered the 14 oz ribeye medium well. The steak came out with three sauces like they were presenting evidence in court. This one is chimichurri. This one is peppercorn. This one is liquid mortgage payment. The steak itself was good. Tender, soft cut, flavorful enough... but not $110 dinner and hidden fees flavorful. For that price I expected the cow to personally walk out, thank me for my service, and salute my family. My wife ordered the pork belly bao and honestly that thing slapped harder than my grandmother's flip flop in 1997. Very good. Then my genius self decided to order sushi at a steakhouse. Because apparently I enjoy making questionable life decisions. The sushi roll had a little spice to it, and it was decent, but halfway through eating it I realized this is exactly how people end up in documentaries. Now let's discuss the music. WHY WAS THE MUSIC SO LOUD?! I wasn't eating dinner I was fighting for survival at Ultra Music Festival. I tried talking to my wife: BABE HOW'S YOUR FOOD?! She screamed back: WHY ARE YOU MAD AT ME?! The couple next to us probably thought we were renewing divorce papers. Every time the bass dropped my soda moved across the table by itself like a paranormal activity scene. And the waitress bless her heart she moved around the restaurant like she was late for a flight at Fort Lauderdale airport. Need anything? What are you drinking? Here's your food. Ma'a slow down. Build a relationship. Tell me Something. I felt like I was ordering dinner from one of my cousins during a family reunion: Aight here damn. Then came the bill. $110. For a steak. A sushi roll. Bao buns. Two sodas. And a random service fee that appeared out of nowhere like an unexpected tax from the Roman Empire. I asked myself: What exactly are we servicing here besides my financial decline? Overall, the place is beautiful, the food is decent, and if you enjoy dining inside what sounds like a Fast & Furious nightclub while folded into a child-sized table this is your place. Would I come back? Probably not. But will I remember it? Absolutely. Mostly because my knees are still recovering.

And if that's not enough, they also offer other things now like paella, bowls, and tablas to add on with your montaditos. They sell beer, wine, sangria and tinto de verano to compliment your Spanish goodies. My ultimate fav is the tinto de verano. A pitcher of that baby and it feels like I'm back in Spain! Once you place your order, you're given a number which you place on your table and the food is brought out when it's ready. This time we skipped the montaditos and tried the seafood paella which was surprisingly delicious! It had a really good amount of seafood. I also liked that the portion is not huge, so it's perfect to share and get a few more plates. We also got the Tabla Espanola which is great compliment to the rest of the food with jamon serrano, chorizo, fuet sausage and manchego cheese. And an order of chistorras which are very yummy. We had the pitcher of tinto de verano which was delicious but the food took a while to come out. Overall everything was good. I only have a negative observation which was annoying to me. The place was empty, yet the music was blasting so loud that we barely could talk. And the server kept bringing our food "which is great" but left all the leftovers on our table. We ended up having a ton of garbage on our table. Not a big deal but why not clean the table? The place is empty and she was ok her phone the entire time. Anyways. Aside from that everything was great. Before I forget, the paella was good but it wasn't fresh. It tasted like reheated microwave leftovers. That was my take. I will come back again to see. Maybe it was like this because we went after the World Cup match Watch party. So we had the leftovers.
