I've asked multiple times about getting new mats and the guys who you sign up with for memberships always just give me the run around and they could care less, as if I'm asking for something crazy. I literally told them that they should order new mats for stretching and for people to do abs, they acted like I was bothering them and went back on their phones. I pay $40 a month for my membership and having mats should be bare minimum.

I want to thank Oscar, Assistant Personal Trainer Director. Oscar was so welcoming, he made me feel so comfortable, at home and part of the LA Fitness Family. I signed up for training sessions. Oscar took the time to discuss with me my goals, my lifestyle, training options. He ensured that I understood and felt comfortable with the process. As he did my fitness assessment, he took into account my injuries l, strengths and weaknesses. This whole process took two hours which flew by. I greatly recommend Oscar, he is the best, and very professional, check him out, you won't regret it.

I am wishing & hoping that they have LOST & FOUND. I Forgot My Black Longsleeves tied up in the door upstairs where we attend the Zumba Class today, Monday, June 2nd, 2025.. I hope somebody found it and turn it in to the management, it's my favorite. I hope they did not throw it away.. I tried to call the gym but unfortunately no one turned in a black long sleeves.. I will try again my luck tomorrow.. Keeping my fingers crossed.. Thank you who ever turn in my sweater, I have my sweater back.. Thank you so much..

Flies cover the pool showers, for weeks now.

Got flies? While I would like to give this gym a better rating as staff and overall facilities are decent, I can not look past the amount of flies covered on the shower walls in the swimming area. After multiple complaints to staff over weeks, apathy is the only response provided by them. A vector-control issue is really not my idea of a hygienic facility. For managment- rather than apologizing or providing an excuse for this in response below, please take the time to hire somone to take care of the issue, it will go a longer way.

Are some machines rusty? Yes, but are they unsightly? No. Operable? Absolutely. LA Fitness is clean. There's a decent amount of ellipticals, treadmills, and several stair masters along with stationary bikes if you're working on cardio. They offer a pool and sauna which I've never used, but I do appreciate the available amenities. Are the rumors true about the pool water looking murky as mentioned from prior reviews? Yes. Which may be a reason I haven't jumped at the opportunity to do laps. However, the facility offers 2 hours of validated parking in a covered garage, along with child care services at an additional cost if needed. Does the covered garage offer EV stations for charging, too? Actually, yes. They also offer a third party in-house juice bar if you're low on protein or feeling weak. The staff and front desk are great too. Just a heads up, the parking attendants are only there M-Fri. Weekends are free. The two star dock is for murky pool water, limits to complimentary parking on weekdays & outdated machines.

Dumbbell rack is so unorganized u have to scavenge for a a pair of dumbbells u want.

Only reason it gets a 2 star is cuz it's huge and pretty remodeled compared to other LA Fitness/City Sports I've been to. The employees and the gym goers are both horrible at this location. Normally at my gym, the employees will walk around and clean and organize things, I didn't see a single employee walk onto the gym area only stayed at the front. The people are horrible though, the dumbbell rack isn't even close to organized most aren't even in pairs. There were basically 0 cable attachments, so I assume people steal them. The locker rooms weren't remodeled at all and pretty dirty, the gym itself was pretty dirty, a lot of the machines were very worn out and some felt broken but were still in use. I could only imagine how dirty the pool is. The cable stack I used was missing the 1.5lb weights at the top, idk how that's even possible to break. Overall, you can just tell neither the staff or gym goers have any respect for the facility. Will try out some other LA fitness nearby cuz this one sucks. This gym is the epitome of LA, looks all nice from the outside but once ur inside it kinda stinks. Don't come here if you actually wanna get a good lift in.

When you tell them you can't do a certain exercise properly due to chronic conditions, and you need time they make you feel like crap. Sometimes I waited at a station the whole time because I couldn't remember what I was supposed to do there, but by the time a coach is able to help, time's already up. Finding a healthcare professional who truly changes your quality of life is rare, but D. Jeffrey Su…read morehas done exactly that. My partner initially sought his help to address a painful shoulder muscle tear, especially since he hadn't been exercising or going to the gym for a while. From the first appointment, it was clear that Dr. Su is both very patient and incredibly knowledgeable about the human body. He doesn't just focus on a quick fix; instead, he takes the time to help you understand exactly how to avoid and prevent future injuries. Dr. Su helped my partner define his long-term goals so that he's not just feeling better today, but fully prepared for his older years. They focused heavily on building back a solid foundation through correct posture and strengthening my partner's core. Dr. Su spent significant time correcting his basic movements to ensure he's exercising and lifting properly. Thanks to his guidance, my partner's been able to build his muscle back and feel confident returning to a regular fitness routine. He's now motivated to continue his exercises consistently, which is a huge win for his overall health. This is especially important now that my partner's in his 50's, as his priority is staying mobile to enjoy life and travel in the future. Dr. Su is exceptionally professional and consistently pleasant to work with throughout every session. His holistic approach to recovery and longevity is truly impressive and sets Dr. Su apart from others in his field. I cannot thank him enough for his dedication to his patients' recovery and long-term well being. We definitely recommend Dr. Su and his outstanding services to anyone looking for top-tier care!

I was referred to Dr. Jeffery Su by my partner, who found him via Yelp. I decided to go with Dr. Su…read moreafter researching all of my physical therapist options through my health insurance and found that they all had terrible Yelp reviews. The reason my partner liked Dr. Su was because he actually tries to help you without roping you into seeing him multiple times just to get money out of you, which I found to be very true - he was able to fix me in just 3 sessions. Paying the $165 per session out of pocket (still FSA/HSA eligible though), was well worth the money in my opinion because I was desperate to get better from my pickleball injury and get back to playing ASAP. Before coming to Dr. Su, I was trying to diagnose myself with ChatGPT and was following their prescribed regimen to heal myself. I wish I had gone to Dr. Su earlier because he was able to diagnose my issue in the first session and give me actionable strengthening exercises (he posts all the assigned exercises, with instructional videos, on the PtEverywhere App) to provide me with some immediate relief from the pain. Dr. Su said that I had strained my (sacrotuberous) ligament, which ChatGPT said would take 4-6 weeks to heal. After religiously doing my strengthening exercises for 4 weeks, I found that my pain was low enough to where Dr. Su approved my slow return to Pickleball and Aerial Silks (he's incredibly responsive via text). I found that as I would play, the same right side was continuing to give me trouble. So I went back to see him a 2nd time. At this session he was able to diagnose that my right hip was super tight and was impeding my recovery - he wasn't able to discover that during the first session because I was in so much pain that he was only focused on fixing that first. He used a strap to pull on my right hip to gain some mobility back, but it barely moved. The next couple of days I was incredibly sore but continued to religiously complete my newly assigned strengthening exercises along with foam rolling (if he forgets to posts the exercises on the app, just text him and he'll post them right away). Whatever he did to me, worked because by the 3rd day, my pain was gone! That along with the foam rolling was probably exactly what I needed too because I was able to easily move into my right front split without the tightness I had been experiencing for years! My follow-up appointment was a week and a half later with Dr. Su and I had no pain to report to him. He tested my right hip again and was able to finally get the head of my right femur to actually "bounce"/move normally during this 3rd session. He taught me some lifetime maintenance and strengthening exercises for my overall health and longevity for playing pickleball, which he posted on the app. He also sent me some links to adjustable home weights to help me save space in my apartment. I generally have trouble sticking to self-guided workouts but Dr. Su simplified them to just 25 minutes of exercises, twice a week. Hey - if that's all I need to keep playing pickleball without injury for the rest of my life, I'm sold. Sign me up!
