Flies cover the pool showers, for weeks now.
    Incense Berkowitz ..

Got flies? While I would like to give this gym a better rating as staff and overall facilities are decent, I can not look past the amount of flies covered on the shower walls in the swimming area. After multiple complaints to staff over weeks, apathy is the only response provided by them. A vector-control issue is really not my idea of a hygienic facility. For managment- rather than apologizing or providing an excuse for this in response below, please take the time to hire somone to take care of the issue, it will go a longer way.

    Broken old machine.

This place is becoming filthy, always.broken machines, old equipment and sometimes overcrowded. The one in Norwalk should be a model for the rest of LA Fitness. The pool water is also dirty. I wished there was a new option around the area.

I've asked multiple times about getting new mats and the guys who you sign up with for memberships always just give me the run around and they could care less, as if I'm asking for something crazy. I literally told them that they should order new mats for stretching and for people to do abs, they acted like I was bothering them and went back on their phones. I pay $40 a month for my membership and having mats should be bare minimum.

I want to thank Oscar, Assistant Personal Trainer Director. Oscar was so welcoming, he made me feel so comfortable, at home and part of the LA Fitness Family. I signed up for training sessions. Oscar took the time to discuss with me my goals, my lifestyle, training options. He ensured that I understood and felt comfortable with the process. As he did my fitness assessment, he took into account my injuries l, strengths and weaknesses. This whole process took two hours which flew by. I greatly recommend Oscar, he is the best, and very professional, check him out, you won't regret it.

This gym is my favorite, because it's rarely packed. You always get any of the thread mills when you're here. And you don't have to stand around waiting for one to be available like in the other gym's. They also have parking garage that isn't too difficult to find parking.

I am wishing & hoping that they have LOST & FOUND. I Forgot My Black Longsleeves tied up in the door upstairs where we attend the Zumba Class today, Monday, June 2nd, 2025.. I hope somebody found it and turn it in to the management, it's my favorite. I hope they did not throw it away.. I tried to call the gym but unfortunately no one turned in a black long sleeves.. I will try again my luck tomorrow.. Keeping my fingers crossed.. Thank you who ever turn in my sweater, I have my sweater back.. Thank you so much..

Dumbbell rack is so unorganized u have to scavenge for a a pair of dumbbells u want.

Only reason it gets a 2 star is cuz it's huge and pretty remodeled compared to other LA Fitness/City Sports I've been to. The employees and the gym goers are both horrible at this location. Normally at my gym, the employees will walk around and clean and organize things, I didn't see a single employee walk onto the gym area only stayed at the front. The people are horrible though, the dumbbell rack isn't even close to organized most aren't even in pairs. There were basically 0 cable attachments, so I assume people steal them. The locker rooms weren't remodeled at all and pretty dirty, the gym itself was pretty dirty, a lot of the machines were very worn out and some felt broken but were still in use. I could only imagine how dirty the pool is. The cable stack I used was missing the 1.5lb weights at the top, idk how that's even possible to break. Overall, you can just tell neither the staff or gym goers have any respect for the facility. Will try out some other LA fitness nearby cuz this one sucks. This gym is the epitome of LA, looks all nice from the outside but once ur inside it kinda stinks. Don't come here if you actually wanna get a good lift in.

Are some machines rusty? Yes, but are they unsightly? No. Operable? Absolutely. LA Fitness is clean. There's a decent amount of ellipticals, treadmills, and several stair masters along with stationary bikes if you're working on cardio. They offer a pool and sauna which I've never used, but I do appreciate the available amenities. Are the rumors true about the pool water looking murky as mentioned from prior reviews? Yes. Which may be a reason I haven't jumped at the opportunity to do laps. However, the facility offers 2 hours of validated parking in a covered garage, along with child care services at an additional cost if needed. Does the covered garage offer EV stations for charging, too? Actually, yes. They also offer a third party in-house juice bar if you're low on protein or feeling weak. The staff and front desk are great too. Just a heads up, the parking attendants are only there M-Fri. Weekends are free. The two star dock is for murky pool water, limits to complimentary parking on weekdays & outdated machines.

Nothing beats the intelligence of the Iyengar system, imho! I will say that Paul has a unique way of balancing his precise knowledge with a very spacious accommodation, which is TRULY the art of an engaged teacher. However, there are other instructors here (I won't name names) that unfortunately trigger my sympathetic nervous system with their tone, and overuse of the word "should." As much as I try to get past this, my breath and body just become tight, and I don't move as freely with overly managed instruction. Yoga House could be one of the last studios on the Eastside that uphold the integrity of a yogic learning environment. As a yogi of 25 years, and an instructor myself, I recommend the Iyengar classes to anyone working to heal injuries and those who want to deepen their practice. Overall, interesting experience to try at least once!

Came here for a soundbath which I purchased from Groupon. They were able to get me registered…read morequickly and the staff was super responsive via email. Showed up and got checked in quickly. The soundbath was so relaxing that I'm pretty sure I fell asleep. I needed to bring my own mat, but everything else from bolsters to blankets were included. Facility is super clean and nicely decorated with plants. You park in the pavillions lot and they are located upstairs. Definitely will be back for another soundbath session!
