It is a low-impact workout, making it ideal for people of all ages and fitness levels, especially those with joint issues or recovering from injuries or surgeries. The Aquafit class lasted 50 minutes and involved movements like squats, jogging, lunges, and kicks. We used water weights and water noodle to increase our resistance. Been a member for a year at this point, primarily for swimming. While the pool and its hours are convenient (except on weekends, when the gym closes at 8pm instead of 11), the facility leaves much to be desired. When it comes to the pool, bring your own test strips! I can't emphasize this enough. Chlorine levels vary widely, and alarmingly tend to trend towards low to nonexistent. It's not uncommon for me to see three or four people swimming in a pool with no chlorine in it. Once or twice a week I will drive to the gym, test the water and have to turn around because the chlorine is low and I don't feel safe swimming in it. This has been happening more often recently to the point where I am seriously thinking about leaving the gym. The men's locker room and restroom area also suffers from a cleanliness deficit; the walls of the showers are grimy and the grout is mildewed. I only rinse at the gym and shower at home. I've seen band-aids on the floor of the pool area more than once as well. The gym does not employ any on-site pool maintenance people; they hire out the work (probably to the lowest bidder) and it shows. The only reason I don't give the gym a one-star review is because of the people behind the desk, who for the most part are attentive and seem to genuinely care about the gym and its members. They simply aren't empowered by corporate to address these issues and are stuck with the unenviable task of dealing with complaints stemming from management's poor decisions or apathy. To management at all levels (especially the regional/corporate one), I have the following message: Stop treating the pool like an afterthought! Gym members pay money for a clean, functional pool and not a petri dish! It's a health hazard and needs to be addressed before someone gets sick, and if that happens, it will be on you. read more

I've been working out at this LA Fitness for a while now and I have to say that this location is consistently reliable and well-run. A big part of that is thanks to Scott who opens the gym at 5am sharp every weekday morning. He always is on time, greets members with a positive attitude, and gets everything up and running without fail. It makes a huge difference when you show up before sunrise and know the doors will be open and the lights are on and everything is ready to go. Scott takes pride in his work and it shows. Shame about the one-star reviews. I joined about a year ago, and so far am happy with this gym. I've been to many different health clubs around the country, including several in Los Angeles where I'm originally from. I've seen the gamut of possible problems one could have with a neighborhood gym (smells like mold, scarcity of equipment, no ventilation, don't come at night or you will get shot, gotta pay for parking, my trainer ghosting prepaid sessions, etc etc). Roughly one year in with LAF Cedar Park, I have no complaints. I have never had to wait for cardio equipment. They kept it properly ventilated and cooled throughout a brutal Texas Summer. The staff are always nice to me. One machine I need for physical therapy was broken for a while, but it did get replaced. Membership is fairly priced. None of the other gym members have ever been rude to me, people are generally pretty friendly. I have never met the trainers, but I see them being very attentive and professional towards their clients. Overall it is a good neighborhood gym, and I plan to stick around. read more

Stopped here on vacation for a back day. They've basically got everything: pull up bar, deadlift platform, cables, pec deck, etc... For an LA Fitness, it's loaded with equipment for everyone from beginners to advanced lifters. Super clean, great staff, definitely recommend. read more

Sauna has been broken for over a year. They said they'll have another sauna "soon" but soon still hasn't happened. They said it's a corporate wide thing but tons of other LA fitness locations still have their sauna. The hot tub which is their only "recovery option" is constantly broken/out of service Tons of machines are broken each time we go. The kids center is terrible. They just put on super overstimulating shows for the kids, don't engage or interact with them and the employees sit on their phones. So disappointing that this gym has gone downhill so badly. read more

LA Fitness is a scam. After paying monthly for a few years, I called to cancel because I'm moving. I was told I have to come in and speak with the membership person. I came in twice during regular hours and was told he wasn't there. There was no way to cancel without being there in person and I must speak with that particular individual. I finally came in when the mystery man was there, and I told him I need to cancel. As we were speaking, he got a phone call and proceeded to talk on the phone for 8 minutes while holding up a finger at me to wait. Beyond disrespectful. Any business that makes it really easy to give them money but almost impossible to cancel is a scam. They know it, and it's on purpose. read more

So disappointed in La Fitness Cedar Park. I have been a member for over 3 years and I spend a minimum of 14 hours a week in this location. Over the last 2 years I have tried to partner with management & the operations team on issues I see in the gym. No soap, No toilet paper, Sauna door broken, sauna temp not heating up, light fixtures falling in the bathroom, gym equipment damaged, and mold growing on air conditioning vents. I mention all these action item's because I have ownership to my gym. Unfortunately the employees do not. After a year of mentioning these items and trying to partner with staff I have now included the corporate team. They are remaining silent as well. Not having soap in bathrooms, working sinks and black mold ARE HUGE ISSUES. I gave local gym staff ample time to fix the above. It's been a week at corporate level. My next stop is the health department. Black mold can kill. read more

I've been to a few LA Fitness' across the country and the one here in Cedar Park is definitely up there. Staff are real friendly and the place is clean. I usually go to the gym around peak busy hours but it's never too difficult to get on a machine that I'm looking to use. This LA Fitness has a full set of cardio equipment, hybrid training area, and weight training selection including plenty of barbells and squat racks. There's also a pool, hot tub, sauna, and showers. Only thing is that I wish LA Fitness would have a basketball court, but I have yet to see one. Don is the guy to talk to if you're looking at a membership here, and he is almost always here when I come to the gym whether he's working, or working out. It's too bad some of the folks here had a bad experience, but I just can't say the same. The staff are on top of things, and actually enjoy working out themselves which is refreshing. I'd recommend this gym as it's definitely one of the best options in the area. read more

One star- for Quan- the most amazing employee the whole time I've been there- deserves a raise. Second star- y'all have Aight machines. everything else- an extremely disturbing incident that occurred at your LA Fitness on 825 W Whitestone Blvd, Cedar Park, TX 78613 location on may 21st 2025 around 5PM I am a former long-term member of LA Fitness -- I trained at this location nearly every day for five years on my own account before eventually moving and before that on my brother's guest for around 2 years. While being a member I lost over 100 lbs and overcame multiple injuries and surgeries including ACL reconstruction. Currently, I walk with a limp and am recovering from an ear infection that has affected my hearing in one ear. Upon entering the gym to inquire about renewing my membership or getting a day pass, I was immediately confronted by a large male employee in an aggressive and unprovoked manner. I had simply limped to the side of the front desk -- not past any restricted area -- and was trying to redownload the LA Fitness app. This staff member yelled at me demanding to know where I was going. I then moved to the other side of the desk to speak with a female employee who was courteous. While I tried to speak with her, the same male staffer continued to interrupt, interject, and assert himself into the conversation. I politely asked to speak to Quan, a longtime employee I've known and trusted, who came over to help. When I mentioned to Quan that the male staff member had been rude since I entered, that employee escalated dramatically -- yelling profanities directly in my ear, which already suffers from tinnitus, and telling me to "pay for the fing membership or get the f out." This occurred in front of customers and staff, creating a threatening and hostile environment. I left the gym feeling targeted, humiliated, and unsafe. read more

7/18: **LIED TO**Was told that Corporate shut down all infrared saunas. Called the Round Rock Signature location and their manager said that there has been no notice of closure from Corporate and their sauna is available for use in both the men's or women's locker rooms. I do not like being lied to when we are paying Signature gym fees at the Cedar Park location and equipment and sauna are broken. 7/17: Sauna is closed indefinitely? No one knows why. Manager told staff to close it 7/15 and no update as of today. This is only my second week here and was sold on all the amenities which included the sauna. I'm really disappointed. I will update my review if they ever open the sauna again. For the most part equipment is good but I do notice quite regularly dirty towels left on equipment or thrown in corners. read more

I went in for a trial run to potentially move myself and my family over from Planet fitness and do want to start by saying Quan was kind, courteous, and beyond helpful. The facilities were clean and they had everything we were looking for in a gym. My main issue is the pricing and lack of ability to work with the clients on this. Especially since there is a lack of transparency upfront on what you are going to pay. So I'll make it transparent for those considering: $80/mo for 2 person membership $124 initiation fee(they sadly couldn't budge on this even with the offer of a 6-12 month contract) First and last month dues(that's right, a double deposit) $140 Annual fee(2 weeks after signup) $50 Not to mention cancellation fees if you come over from another gym ($100 for us) So for us to move over in total it would be about $494 to sign up for LA fitness. Again this is a really nice gym but it's not equinox and LAF needs to remember the average consumer. Again my issue is likely with LAF as a corporation and not the staff Also give Quan a Promotion, and a pay raise. Bro deserves it. read more

TLDR: Avoid this location...it's headed downhill without Don. This LA Fitness was one of the best gyms that I've ever been to (Member for over 2 years). Don and Quan are some of the most welcoming hosts. Joey the Ops manager is also top-notch. They gave you accurate information and made you feel like family. I came to think of them as friends, not people that work there. They always know my name and made a point to say Hi to everyone. Never pushy and they worked so hard to keep the gym going as they continued to lose employees because LA Fitness doesn't pay very well. Don, Quan, and Joey filled in the gaps. Consequently, this gym has gone from somewhat busy to packed all the time. Then Dec 30, after 2.5 years at this location, the VP for this region told Don you're moving to a different location on 1/1. Broke his heart and everyone at the gym. Don wasn't just in charge of sales, he's family. But sometimes these things happen, Quan should have taken over, because again, he has busted his tail taking care of the members and the gym. With a focus on keeping everyone well-taken care of. Nope, they transferred in Mikos....because he sold a lot of training packages at the Lamar location. Passed over Quan, who has more than earned a promotion. Mikos has gotten into physical altercations with employees. By all accounts is very abrasive....immediately put up signs to try and keep members out of the training area....If you are training sure....otherwise, it is the only deadlift and floor space in the gym. Those signs didn't last long. When Jay (A Trainer at this Location) found out Mikos was coming, he quit on the spot. What the heck? Seriously. I'll be visiting other gyms, Golds, Fitness Connection, and others. I know so many members and they will be doing the same thing. To the VP over this club.....fix this....before it's too late, bring back Don. And while you're at it....get someone out to fix all the broken wood in the Men's Sauna. read more

For the past three years I've been spending half the week taking care of an elderly friend that lives way up north. This LA Fitness location is the closest gym. My residence and regular gym are Downtown Austin. Last May I stopped by this location to walk through it quickly and then sat down with an employee. I paid the initiation fee for both my husband and me and the person that talk to me provided me a seven day free pass, which I never used. I've never worked out at a LA Fitness location, ever. LA Fitness does not auto draft me nor have I ever paid any sort of a monthly fee. I don't even have a way (card? Phone app?) to access this gym other than free seven day pass I mentioned above. A couple months ago I started having a collections agency blow up my phone via call and text. I tried responding to a text from the LA Fitness employee that helped me initially, and I've tried calling the gym. No response, no one will answer. read more

What a let down of a place. I don't expect much from a gym's employees. Having been a member of various gyms for over 30yrs. After my gym closed, I thought I would try this one because it is conveniently located. No amount of convenience can make up for the downright hostile and rude staff. They are dismissive and living in their own world without a thought as to how their lack of empathy affects clientele. They are never around and when you DO get their attention, it's an inconvenience to them. I wasn't there long enough to determine whether or not they have cliques with clientele, a common issue in gyms, but I wouldn't be surprised. It only took 4 visits to ascertain the poor attitude of the staff and the disarray in the locker room. I have no regrets calling it quits on this place. The clientele however, were nice enough. This location is very clean, still feels new and the layout of cardio and weights is great. Never feels crowded. They do offer a few classes with your basic membership. To use the upgraded classes it is basically twice as much more per month to use those. They do look fun though. I like the spin room and pool. Wish they had a few courts here since it is a signature location. Restrooms always stay clean. La Fitness as a company I would give 1 star. They charged me for over 2 years a monthly fee after i tried to cancel my membership. I even spoke to the manager of the last gym in Houston many times as well as my partner, he even went up there face to face. I called corporate several times, but it got to a point i was so frustrated i just let them take my money. When i came here i explained everything, had emails, etc, and they were able to back pay a portion of it. So this location made it right. Hopefully that will never happen again if I have to leave. read more

This has been my home gym since it opened 4 years ago. It's new and has most amenities except the basketball court. The sauna is currently closed which sucks, but I understand it's a corporate choice. The other lady who says she was "lied to" is either being deceptive or is just not very bright.. this is the only location with an infrared sauna within a few hours. The other locations use electric saunas, which is a completely thing. Otherwise, gym is mostly good except it's too crowded for my taste during peak hours, so if that bothers you, go during work hours. read more

I think it's clear upper management has made a lot of members upset by transferring Don to another gym. If he had been promoted to a better position we would be sad to see him go but would've celebrated his success. But Don is the heart of the CP gym. Don, Joey and Quan are a great team and even when things aren't as top notch as you want them to be due to supply chain issues and difficulties filling positions, members still want to be at that facility because the management team goes above and beyond to make their members happy. Don not only sells but he encourages and motivates the members. He is such a positive force there and does not deserve to be sent elsewhere just because you need a place for someone else. And if Don does get replaced it should be by Quan who always has a smile on his face! Bad move on your part LAFitness. Very disappointing! read more
