Whomever has created the schedule has once again decided to make many zumba classes and body fit classes and tossing step which is a great cardio work out ( is this so people would gravitate to theor new glute room) who knows).And get rid of kickboxing,like why??? LA Fitness on Main Street is a great facility with nice recent upgrades, but there is one major issue that really needs attention: the lack of morning yoga classes during the weekdays. Right now there is only ONE class, which is not enough for those of us who rely on morning sessions to stay consistent with our fitness and wellness routines. A gym of this size and quality should absolutely offer more options. With the LA Fitness on Golden Triangle closing soon, many members--including myself--are extremely disappointed, mainly because that location has the BEST yoga instructor, Lesli. She is exceptional. Her classes are always packed, and for good reason. She teaches at a level that keeps people motivated, challenged, and excited to come back. Her presence alone brings tremendous value to the gym and keeps members loyal. I strongly hope management will consider transferring Lesli to the Main Street location and expanding the weekday morning yoga schedule. Many of us are prepared to follow her because instructors like her are rare. However, if more morning yoga classes aren't added--and if an instructor of Lesli's caliber isn't brought in--I will likely cancel my membership and move to another gym that offers better class variety for the price. They will randomly close the club with a note on front door. Roof leaks all over the building without repair. Front desk can be occupied conversing with sales desk and socializing. We have young kids on our account and the profanity we have heard is ridiculous. The club has really gone down hill, try 24 / EOS or crunch nearby. Better options for price. read more

This is a fantastic gym in every way. The staff is just a dope group of people. There is a huge array of equipment options, all clean and in good working order. I love that they have saunas and racquetball courts and a huge spin room. If you are looking for a good workout, be sure to ask for Nephi. He knows his stuff and is fun to talk to as well! read more

This is one of the cleanest LA fitness I have been too. The BO smell isn't slap you in the face pungent! A very nice change from the W7th LA. One thing that would make it cleaner is if the machines lower area would get a good wipe down. The dust and debris is easily visible. The star of the show is the KIDS CLUB employees. Such energetic, caring, and fun ladies! Thanks for having a good time with my son and making him feel welcomed 10/5/19 update Buy some new ellipticals!!! On Saturday August 12th 2023, I was robbed at La Fitness Keller. Someone cut the locks off the lockers and stole phones and wallets. I was appalled at the total lack of concern from the personnel at LA Fitness. It was like 'Oh well bad break'. I had to contact the police myself and fill out my own police report with Keller police. I was told La Fitness has no liability what so ever. No parking lot cameras, no security plans to keep peoples valuables safe in the lockers. I did not even get a phone call to express concern that I was robbed. I am just totally shocked at the total and complete apathy. I was not even offered so much as a couple of free months dues for getting robbed !!! read more

Don't go to this location. Staff wanted to charge me for using the club the first day I visited. I'm an out of state member and any other club grants a courtesy day pass for visiting members. They could have at least let me work out that day and decided if I wanted to upgrade my membership, but no, that had to be assh013s about it. Club looked shitty anyway. read more

My husband and I work out daily here for the past 4 years. Man has it gone down hill. Half the machines on the weight floor are broken constantly, they never seem to get fixed. The cardio machines don't work half the time either. About 6 weeks ago they replaced the stalls in the ladies room and they did not install them correctly so if you are in the first one the others won't shut, the looks are aligned wrong so they don't lock when you can shut them. Complaints to the club manager go on deaf ears, I was told "I'm calling today about them, it's not our fault a outside service did it." So what! You need to make sure you have WORKING bathrooms!!!! If I could give the club a zero I would, the staff is friendly with the exception of most of the trainers who are rude. We are currently awaiting a new gym to open that is NOT a LA Fitness. As soon as it opens we are canceling our membership. read more

I worked for this gym for about a year, everyone I have come in contact with was amazing even the VP Jeff is a more serious guy but I can respect that! I was a trainer and loved all of my clients and they loved me you can ask anyone. I was upset when the new GM Chris took Calen's spot because he was super disrespectful to me a multiple of the workers there, in fact the very first thing he said to me was " I'm your new boss" after "I"took the initiative the greet him. Like what is that? Little D syndrome? Idk whatever his problem is he messed up everything good there I've talked with multiple people explaining how they have had a similar experience with him. After not being able to handle the constant disrespect I decided to put my two weeks in. The very next day he sarcastically said "atleast you were honorable enough to put your 2 weeks in" I have no idea what I did to this man to deserve this in fact it made me really upset after hearing he was talking bad about me to my coworkers, how I know is bc multiple coworkers came to me to ask "what I did to make him upset" I was baffled bc I had no idea he didn't like me that much and this was only the second day of him working there. Anyways not that it's my place to say but I think appointing Chris was a bad idea for the company and they are sure to lose more of the great people that work there if he continues to behave as such. No complaints on the gym it's a great place probably one of my favorites unfortunately I won't be able to return because he also BANNED me from this gym and every other la/ ESPORTA fitness. I went to Central HS nearby and have lived in this area all my life. I went to LA for the first half of 2013, then cancelled my membership due to a study abroad trip and reopened it again in 2015 for the first half of the year. The changes I noticed between the 2 years weren't much, but I know they removed the clothing wringer (near the pool) and never have consistent instructors for their classes. WARNING: THIS GYM HAS ALWAYS BEEN A HANGOUT AND SOCIAL SPOT. MOST PEOPLE COME HERE TO TALK 75% EXERCISE 25% MAYBE EVEN LESS. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!! I WAS TOLD THAT MY MEMBERSHIP WAS CANCELLED, by the front desk lady after I asked her to cancel it this most recent time! I told her I was going off to college and she said ok, it's cancelled but you have the last month since you paid when you first started (BS charge). I get a call 2 months later saying that the card was declined (because my dads wallet was STOLEN from LA Fitness). The lady had a bitchy attitude when I asked if she was sure it wasn't my dad's account because he still goes there. But first thing's first, why DID they TELL ME it was cancelled when it wasn't? They try to get as much money out of you as possible. This is absurd. They were charging us under the table, even though I went IN PERSON to cancel my account and received confirmation from an employee 2 months ago. I have two separate ratings and thoughts on LA Fitness. However per my bad experiences it is getting a 1 in overall rating: First of all, the facilities have always been clean and well managed. Equipment was rarely down and everything was organized. All class and group work outs were well ran and on time. If it were up to JUST the facility, It would have a higher rating... however... Secondly, I will never again sign up for a membership here because of a SERIOUS lacking in customer service. I had signed up back in Minneapolis, and was super interested in their pricing per month that fit well within my budget. Per the very pushy sales man, telling me if I sign up right this moment and pay this whopping 500 something dollars upfront, I could have all these extras. One of these perks was that any month I didnt use would roll over. With my unpredictable work and artist schedule I was sold on that alone. Roll over months?? Sounds too good to be true- and guess what?! It. Totally. Was. Turns out when I moved back home to Texas and started attending my local LA fitness, I was informed that my membership would be running out soon. I was confused as to how that could be possible (seeing as I used it a mere 3 months out of the entire 14+ months) and asked more questions about my membership....turns out there was no such thing as 'roll over months' and never has been. No one offered me any assistance, or even apologized. I spent 500$ on a membership I used maybe 30 times... because I was under the impression those months would roll over- and that my money was well spent. No "let me get my manager" and not a care in the world. Thankfully I found a forever workout home at a local CrossFit box, where the owner has integrity and is transparent about monthly fees. read more

Your typical LA Fitness layout, cardio up and the rest down. Very good selection of equipment and I've never had to wait on gear. They recently remolded and brought in some newer gear. Well maintained and pretty clean. People complaining about contacts, hate to tell you, but all gyms are the same and equal when it comes to that. Read your contract, ask question and look at fine print. I've been a member At all of them (24, Golds, LA, Anytime and a small warehouse gym), they are all the same. Staff has always been attentive and greeting upon entering and exiting. I have no complaints here, down the street has no Sauna (and it's new/newer), so out for me. I love this gym. Brenna is great! Always super friendly and helpful. I use a personal trainer (James) and he's the best! He's very knowledgeable and explains the science behind the exercises. I have a friend who pays her trainer $500 at another gym. I pay only $200 a month and get much more variety and personalized workouts. The mic in the fitness studio has been broken for over a month. Several interactions with management have clearly showed a lack of desire to get it fixed. The instructors are all frustrated because this means they must yell out their instructions and ques. I approached the on-shift manager this morning and was told a supervisor had tried to fix it but was unsuccessful. A supervisor? Shouldn't this be a maintenance issue? He said he would "expedite" the order. Shouldn't this have already been expedited after day one, week one, week four? LA Fitness doesn't care about its members AT ALL! Broken equipment, smelly carpet at the older gyms and non working sound systems. If it wasn't for a favorite instructor, I'd be gone and convince everyone I work out with to leave as well. Big gym with lots of equipment. I usually see staff cleaning equipment when I am there. Cheap membership. I think they could do a better job cleaning though, and maybe renovate some parts of the gym. This gym gets very busy so you'll have to go early or mid afternoon to avoid the crowd. read more

As I am a member of this fitness center for around 7 years, this one particular day I had noticed an elderly couple come in. it was very obvious they were new and not familiar with the machines. A young lady approached the couple, (trainer?) and directed the gentleman to the upright back row nautilus. she walked away leaving the new guy on his own, never to return. he fumbled and nearly fell over the bench and did not realize he needed to change the weight ratio. I informed the manager, Tyler, of the demise. Tyler's response was, "what do you want me to do about it? Where should I start??? I'm new to TX and l was looking for a place close by and offered personal training at a reasonable price. I signed up for a consultation and unfortunately I didn't heed the red flags. First the guy(I shall not use his name) showed up about 40 mins late. The second thing I noticed was that I could smell the alcohol on his breath from the night before. I still liked the gym location and prices so I went ahead with the consult. I told him I wanted a personal trainer 3X week for an hour. I made that perfectly clear and requested it several times he assured me that's what I was getting so I signed up. I get an email and look at the contract and see that my sessions r only 30mins! I called Corp to not only let them know I was given the wrong terms and info the person who helped me was late n drunk! I will update you with the outcome as soon as I have it. Later that day.... So they expect me to pay for the hour sessions. No discount or nothing. So the gym is okay. Never really deal with the staff, though when I do, they're fine. I can generally find what I need & get in a decent workout. The members are respectful, in my experience, with the exception of racking weights. Nothing funnier than a bunch of bulky dudes who won't bother to work those giant muscles by walking their plates back. But whatever. However, their equipment is breaking a lot. And stays broken way too long. Just this morning, both leg press machines were broken & another machine I passed by later had their famous "Scheduled for Service" signs. One of the leg press machines has been down for almost 3 weeks. And as another reviewer mentioned, the locker room & bathrooms are filthy & often out of paper towels. Some of the stalls don't lock, so make sure you keep one hand on the door. Sure, they keep saying a new gym is being built - but they've been saying that for over a year. And they still haven't broken ground on the new building. I'm not going anywhere else because this location works for me & I can manage. But I definitely won't recommend this place to others. read more

This club is just OK. I've cancelled my membership and will be going to one of the 24 hour fitness clubs in the area. My friends and I have been a member for over 3 years and we cancelled on the same day and no one even asked us why or how can they keep us? The trainers at this club or non existent not that I used them but if you try out one of the 24 hour fitness clubs in the area (Southlake or Keller) the trainers are constantly busy and there are classes every hour. At the LA fitness the classes are sporadic and again very few trainers and none of them are busy. The equipment is fine and the locker rooms are actually better than the 24 hour fitness clubs but overall this LA Fitness is not that great. read more

This place has been open for about 15 years and I remember it being pretty nice. I don't know what happened but it's pretty run down now. But they are remodeling this month so hopefully it will be better. The staff is very friendly and the price is pretty reasonable as well. I have the all-club access membership for $29.99. The upstairs cardio area was very hot. I'm not sure if the AC wasn't working properly but hope they get this fixed soon. read more

I'm reading the other reviews, and I'm surprised most of them are so negative. I've been going here for the last few months, since I've moved to TX. No real complaints with this location. The locker room is huge, and they seem to take good care of the equipment. If a machine is down, it's usually fixed in a few days. Never once have I encountered a pushy staff member. So far, so good. The one bad thing I do have to say though, is lack of staff policing members. It's common knowledge that you don't work out in street clothes, and you don't carry a gym bag around with you on the floor. Any given time you're at this gym, you'll see bags all over. I frequent this LA Fitness because it is so close to my home but if I had it any other way, I'd go to the location on 7th St. I can't comment on customer service since I only walk in and out of the gym without interaction with any employees. But they always have someone on hand it seems for information. It looks huge from the outside but the space is taken up by the many racquet ball rooms, a pool, basketball court, cycling room and fitness room for classes. They have all the cardio stuff on the second floor and a select few TVs. There just isn't really any personal space here. There's one tiny area in its own corner where I like to go but it would be nice to have another option in case someone decides to occupy that space before me. There are people of all different ages that frequent the gym. I see many with trainers or going to the classes they offer. I have yet to try a class here. The sauna is always packed with the same people too. I figured out what time I need to use it without it being too crowded. Otherwise, it's a very clean gym with a very high volume.
