The gym is clean. The only problem I'm constantly experiencing is the men's bathroom:The restrooms reek of urine and toxic ammonia. The smell is unbearable and unpleasant to the nose and eyes. Can we please get staff to deep clean the corners of the walls and around the edges of the toilets. This is necessary to eliminate the foul odor that has seeped in the crevices of the enire restroom. This LA Fitness is by far one of the best I've been to! From the moment you walk in, the front desk staff greets you with a smile -- always welcoming, upbeat, and ready to help with any questions. The gym itself is well-equipped with a huge variety of cardio machines, free weights, and strength equipment. Even during peak hours, it's easy to get a full workout in without waiting long. The overall atmosphere is friendly and positive, both the staff and members make it an enjoyable place to train. And I have to give major credit to the cleaning crew. they're constantly keeping everything spotless and well-maintained. Little disappointed that they now have swimming lesson all day on weekends and members can only use one lane to swimm. They never offered swimming lessons at this gym before. Not fare to members who look forward to swimming especially on weekends on there days off. read more

I have been coming here with my son Andrew daily and mostly for swimming although Andrew has at time join Zumba class this is one of the cleanest gyms arourd this area we have been to whittier when pool is being updated and that one is also great so I don't understand why this place has low ratings staff is great and friendly it's always a great experience for us I give it a 5 star read more

Don't be fooled by the smoke and mirrors. The gym is regularly dirty despite complaints. Equipment has been missing for years regardless of notification to the staff. The vast majority of the staff is unhelpful unless youre purchasing a membership. Beware the Pilates and glute room will fizzle and look Like the rest of the gym in no time. read more

Embarrassing and Unprofessional - Guest Pass Completely Useless I'm an active LA Fitness member, and I invited my friend to try out the gym using a guest pass provided directly by LA Fitness. The pass had a valid barcode and all details, yet when we arrived at the Pico Rivera location (8909 Washington Blvd), the staff refused to let my guest in. They said he must either have a paid membership or pay a one-day fee -- even though the whole point of a guest pass is to let someone try the gym before joining. This is not only confusing but embarrassing for members who bring friends in good faith, expecting LA Fitness to honor its own promotions. If guest passes aren't accepted, then don't advertise them on your website. This kind of experience makes the entire brand look misleading and untrustworthy. Misleading and Unprofessional - Guest Pass Is a Total Scam I visited the LA Fitness Pico Rivera location (8909 Washington Blvd) with a valid guest pass that was emailed to me directly from LA Fitness -- complete with barcode and all details. After walking about 30 minutes to get there, the front desk staff told me guest passes are not accepted unless I pay a one-day fee or already have an active membership. This is completely misleading and dishonest. Why advertise free guest passes on your official website if your staff refuses to honor them? It feels like a bait-and-switch tactic just to get people to show up and then pressure them into paying. The staff didn't seem to care at all or even try to help. Their attitude was unprofessional and dismissive, which made the experience even worse. If this is how LA Fitness treats potential new members, it says a lot about how little they value honesty and customer experience. I switch off between Pico location and another. Pico by far has the worst employees. The girl with the dark hair and braces that occasionally sits at the front desk is so rude! She doesn't greet you and if you greet her she will literally just ignore you. There has also been another girl with blonde hair and acne that is very immature and rude. The front desk at my other location is so pleasant at all hours of the day. Management really needs to step it up here, these girls create an uncomfortable environment to work out in. If you don't want to do your job in customer service, then find another. read more

Pretty sad to say that the workers are incredibly rude. Ive been coming to this gym for the longest time and its just sad to see a decrease in the positive attitude of the workers. First off their job is not hard at all. They sit around all day using their phones and dont greet the guests or even put a smile on their face. It sucks especially trying to ask them quits like they dont even know they work here. Sad a business will hire people like this to represent their company. This is one of my regular gyms where I've been a member for a long time. I come here normally to play racquetball, the gym is clean and staff very friendly. It has lots of equipment that I've used and kept in good conditions from the treadmills, weights, and other work out machines. I love that they offer various classes like yoga and they also have a spinning room and basketball courts. The sauna and pool area are also well kept! Overall it's a great place to work out and use the various facilities and other accommodations they offer!! read more

Decided to cancel 20 mins in sauna or steam room or kids club can't make me stay... went to the LA fitness in Norwalk where I go to school this gym it's the same as the Montebello and pico rivera one this gym would be just perfect for me steam room sauna and kids club however always a mess the people going to this gym are just so inconsiderate. And they are making Pilates and booty rooms however I can only imagine the price increase won't be worth anything if the rest of their gym is ugly and outdated. They need to dismiss members who make the place trashy. read more
