I wanted to take a moment to share some feedback regarding our recent experience at La Gloria on Park Blvd. We had heard great things about your restaurant and were excited to try it, but unfortunately, we left feeling quite disappointed. Here are some specific concerns we encountered during our visit last night: Our ordered consisted of the Birria pizza and three al pastor tacos. The food was bland and didn't meet our expectations. The birria consomé was lukewarm and lacking in flavor. I felt that the birria meat had no seasoning, which is typically achieved through the spices and chiles used during cooking, as well as in frying the tortillas served with it. My husband ordered the al pastor tacos and noted that the meat was not warmed at all, which seems unusual for tacos that are prepared to order. While the staff was somewhat attentive, we weren't offered any drink refills. we found ourselves with no drink towards the end of the meal. My husband usually enjoys having two or three cokes with his meal, and we felt overlooked as we weren't asked if we would like anything else during or after. We did appreciate the hot salsas that were provided, though we had to request them 10 - 15 minutes into our order. The restaurant was not particularly busy on a Tuesday night around 6 PM, so the lack of attention to detail was surprising. As someone who has cooked Mexican food for over 40 years, and having learned from my grandmother, I believe that a few adjustments could greatly enhance the overall dining experience. After a long day of work, I often find myself not wanting to go home and cook; this experience has made me reflect on our decisions going forward. Every time I go to Gloria's, it always hits the spot. The staff is always welcoming, and the food never disappoints. One of the very few spots that have freshly homemade tortillas. Gloria's is a true local neighborhood gem. Everything feels authentic, from the homey, cozy atmosphere to the owner personally serving your food. Highly recommend.
$20 for three tacos with little to no meat. No thank you, pass on this place. Salsa for the chips is like a marinara soup? Gross
Came on Cinco de Mayo, sat us real quick, served us even faster. Been searching for a great traditional Mexican restaurant in Pinellas for years and I finally found it. The food was so great, tacos were loaded but the tortillas ain't even break. Good God Almighty is what I was saying fist deep in my horchata and enchiladas.
Not that big of a place and their menu is not as broad as some of the other establishments around the area. The food was really good especially the salsa that came with the chips. We tried the tamales special and it was amazing. I had the taco birria and it was really good with the broth. Their hot sauce but green and red was on point. Their pizza birria is big so I suggest sharing. They have sangria and beer. Both the front of the house servers were very nice. I don't crave much Mexican food, but when I do, I'll be back for sure.
Was really excited to try this new spot. My review is based on delivery. Every item we ordered was awful. I don't understand how everything was so off. 2 taco salads, barely any filling. The meat was full of fat. Every bite was pulling fat out and we just stopped eating it. Tostadas had zero flavor, no beans like stated and were full soggy. Churros were raw inside. We are putting those in the airfryer to see if we can salvage them. Off night or just awful food? Not sure but doubtful we will order again.

I was craving a taco salad and looked up and down and couldn't find anything until I came across this place on Yelp. I called in my order and the man on the phone was so helpful and friendly. That was a delight to have great customer Service from jump. I arrived to the place. Which it has ample parking. It's in a plaza. When I arrived, I was greeted, and I waited until my order was ready. Everyone there was friendly. I noticed that they had specials. It seems family friendly. My taco salad came with chips and some dip that was really good. Needless to say I will be back and most likely a frequent customer. read more
This your typical Mexican restaurant with good Mexican food and owners, they offer a wide variety of Mexican dishes and Mexican waters like Horchata. The food was delicious but the tacos were a bit overpriced, I had two cows toung tacos and they run around $3.50 a piece I also had a esquite but served in a bowl not typical of in Mexico to drink I had agua de horchata which was not a typical flavor tasted more like vanilla milk. Overall the ambiance and service was good , the restaurant has plenty of sitting and a big screen TV. The food was good I just think it was a bit overpriced and the horchata water was not your typical flavor horchata. The service was good and the waitress and possibly the owner where friendly so I would definitely come back. read more

This is our second time in to La Gloria, we love it! It's clean and the staff is attentive. They offer chips and salsa for the table and the salsa is warm- so delicious. We both ordered the same meals we had our first time we came, and it was just as good as our initial experience! read more

Really great and authentic Mexican cosine. Wonderful fast service, they were really good with refilling our beverages. You will get chips and salsa to start your meal. We eat the fish and beef soup and it was really good food all around. The atmosphere is amazing. Highly recommend read more

ORDERED - chips and guacamole [$3.50] - pastor [$2.50] - campechanos [$2.50] - quesabirria tacos [$10.99] STAFF this restaurant had a very small staff, possibly family owned and ran. the waitress was so kind and patient with my table as some of my party was not familiar with the items on the menu. DINING AREA a ton of seating inside -- we went when the state of florida just reopened indoor dining so it was very empty inside. OVERALL: the chips and guacamole was full of flavor -- not a bland bite at all. on the same flavor-wave, the campechanos taco was also full of flavor and the chicharrones gave it a good crunch. the consomé for the quesabirria tacos also packed a lot of flavor however, oddly enough the quesabirria tacos fell short of flavor -- no worries though since the tacos are meant to dip into the consome. the pastor taco was my least favorite; i did like that there was pineapples in the taco, but the grilled pork was lacking flavor. if you're in the area, i do recommend trying this place out. definitely try the campechanos and the chips + guacamole. if you are still on the hunt for some local quesabirria tacos, why not try those out too? read more

As big taco fanatics-- we personally feel the taco scene in st Pete is lacking. And so we come here (I'm looking at you DTSP! ) The food was so flavorful! We had one of those meals where we weren't talking because we were so focused on eating! Service was great. I started eating the corn before I took a pic but it was so fresh and flavorful I was trying to find every bite. The lime the cheese everything was so good! My husband rated his husband his carne asada 9.3/10 but only because "he always takes some points off so he has to" Churros--warm and I had never had churros that tasted like that so fluffy and almost creamy? Delicious I usually don't like these too much and love them We've been a few times without leaving a review and it had been a while but we're so glad we popped back in and added it back in rotation. If you're looking for amazing food more than you're looking for some overpriced ambiance this is the spot read more

Don't waste your money on this place! Horrible food! Rice was hard no flavor... Queso cheese dip was water down! And chip was stale And cheese enchiladas had a weird taste to them! Garage! Waste of $21.13 read more

Small local restaurant, with a nice calm atmosphere inside. Our order was prepped and ready soon after we confirmed the order. Service was overall really good. Some parts of the food and drinks were what brought it down a bit. Tacos were good and we had 2 orders of flautas for 12.99 you'd think it'd also include beans and rice like many other Mexican restaurant but it didn't; ignoring that the actual flautas were amazing. They were crisp not burnt anywhere, and had sufficient cream, cheese and lettuce. The other downside was the flavored waters. The horchata is not made from its pure ingredients but is made with a prepackaged powder flavor, severely disappointing as it didn't compare to the quality of their food. read more

If you aren't careful, you will drive right past this place. I did not even know this place existed until I googled birria tacos. The tacos were good, I wish the cheese was a little charred/fried instead of just melted. The service was great. The lady was very kind to me. The restaurant itself was a bit warm; I didn't mind but I would suspect others would. I forgot to take a photo but my tacos looked exactly like what someone else posted. I'm stealing his photo. read more
