I wanted to take a moment to share some feedback regarding our recent experience at La Gloria on Park Blvd. We had heard great things about your restaurant and were excited to try it, but unfortunately, we left feeling quite disappointed. Here are some specific concerns we encountered during our visit last night: Our ordered consisted of the Birria pizza and three al pastor tacos. The food was bland and didn't meet our expectations. The birria consomé was lukewarm and lacking in flavor. I felt that the birria meat had no seasoning, which is typically achieved through the spices and chiles used during cooking, as well as in frying the tortillas served with it. My husband ordered the al pastor tacos and noted that the meat was not warmed at all, which seems unusual for tacos that are prepared to order. While the staff was somewhat attentive, we weren't offered any drink refills. we found ourselves with no drink towards the end of the meal. My husband usually enjoys having two or three cokes with his meal, and we felt overlooked as we weren't asked if we would like anything else during or after. We did appreciate the hot salsas that were provided, though we had to request them 10 - 15 minutes into our order. The restaurant was not particularly busy on a Tuesday night around 6 PM, so the lack of attention to detail was surprising. As someone who has cooked Mexican food for over 40 years, and having learned from my grandmother, I believe that a few adjustments could greatly enhance the overall dining experience. After a long day of work, I often find myself not wanting to go home and cook; this experience has made me reflect on our decisions going forward. The Birria pizza may single handily be the best deal in town! It's so big it literally comes in a medium pizza box and it's packed with loads of meat and cheese and just enough of the delicious broth to dunk the slices in. It easily feeds two hungry adults, and probably could feed 4 kids. I do enjoy their regular birria tacos a bit more, but for the price of around 17 bucks with tax it's a home run in this house! Was really excited to try this new spot. My review is based on delivery. Every item we ordered was awful. I don't understand how everything was so off. 2 taco salads, barely any filling. The meat was full of fat. Every bite was pulling fat out and we just stopped eating it. Tostadas had zero flavor, no beans like stated and were full soggy. Churros were raw inside. Not that big of a place and their menu is not as broad as some of the other establishments around the area. The food was really good especially the salsa that came with the chips. We tried the tamales special and it was amazing. I had the taco birria and it was really good with the broth. Their hot sauce but green and red was on point. Their pizza birria is big so I suggest sharing. They have sangria and beer. Both the front of the house servers were very nice. Visiting from California and this place looked like the only legit thing that could come close to hitting the late night taco stand craving (huge complement). Thank goodness it hit me before the usual 12am (they close at 10 I believe) and ordered in time. We tried birria tacos, Al pastor and asada. Totally hit the spot but they forgot the salsa which terrified me because I'm a salsa person . I had to try again with salsa and ordered through Uber eats a few days later but called ahead this time to peacefully ask to try the salsa this time as it was missing from past order. The owner or chef of evening answered and was so kind! He said, oh no, I'm going to give you extra! You don't have to do that I exclaimed! But he insisted and also included a flan for dessert which if my night wasn't already made form the great food and kindness but a little unexpected sweet treat was literally the cherry on top. We had one of those meals where we weren't talking because we were so focused on eating! Service was great. I started eating the corn before I took a pic but it was so fresh and flavorful I was trying to find every bite. The lime the cheese everything was so good! My husband rated his husband his carne asada 9.3/10 but only because "he always takes some points off so he has to" Churros--warm and I had never had churros that tasted like that so fluffy and almost creamy? Delicious I usually don't like these too much and love them We've been a few times without leaving a review and it had been a while but we're so glad we popped back in and added it back in rotation. OVERALL: the chips and guacamole was full of flavor -- not a bland bite at all. on the same flavor-wave, the campechanos taco was also full of flavor and the chicharrones gave it a good crunch. the consomé for the quesabirria tacos also packed a lot of flavor however, oddly enough the quesabirria tacos fell short of flavor -- no worries though since the tacos are meant to dip into the consome. the pastor taco was my least favorite; i did like that there was pineapples in the taco, but the grilled pork was lacking flavor. if you're in the area, i do recommend trying this place out. definitely try the campechanos and the chips + guacamole. if you are still on the hunt for some local quesabirria tacos, why not try those out too? read more

Some parts of the food and drinks were what brought it down a bit. Tacos were good and we had 2 orders of flautas for 12.99 you'd think it'd also include beans and rice like many other Mexican restaurant but it didn't; ignoring that the actual flautas were amazing. They were crisp not burnt anywhere, and had sufficient cream, cheese and lettuce. The other downside was the flavored waters. For starters the air conditioner was not running so they turned on an industrial fan as soon as I was seated. I was the only client in the restaurant at 7:10 pm. The fan was very loud. I ordered the chicken enchiladas with rice and refried beans. Everything was BLAND. I love Mexican food and I truly want these small restaurants to flourish but the flavors were not there. Plain yellow/orange rice that was mushy and refried beans that were very runny. The enchiladas were served in like a soft folded corn tortilla, instead of being rolled in one. Perhaps they had an off night but in order to survive in the food industry they have to bring their A game everyday.
